Painter Mobile

I've enjoyed using this drawing app. Some extra features like a lasso and liquify would make it perfect. I've had one problem. I've recently switched phones, their the same model, a samsung note5. I thought I could move the data like saved art and such over to the new phone. I've successfully done that with other apps on my new phone, but when done with this app old saved drawings are now deformed. I'm sure my art is lost. Adding the ability to save as a psd or other format would help in the future.

I mean, the brushes are awesome, but exclusive ones would be much better. I honestly don't like the idea that you have to pay money to receive more stuff in the app. Maybe some marker brushes? Like highlights or Copic markers? And maybe shadowing brushes too. That would be really helpful. And by highlights I mean like shine markers. Also, the detail is epic. The graphics are cool too, and I like how you can adjust the size of the height and length of your "paper". It's been working well for me right now!

Fantastic tools and capabilities. I've always used PC apps for artwork (it's my actual j.o.b.) so maybe I expect too much from mobile devices as this is my 1st tablet, but it does crash on me a good bit. Pretty sure it's not my device since it's new, but Corel is the only app I added to it and use most. I purchased the full package, and love getting to do initial sketch work from anywhere. I can complete the job in the app or export in .jpeg or .png format easily to finish the main paint work on my PC.

This app was excellent prior to the update. Now, it's passable. Brush customization is gone. The UI is not very friendly, at least comparatively to the pre-update version. • Files often save with duplicate layers, merging layers in error, or removing the file(s) completely. • There is no UI customization or ability to move around or hide brushes for workflow ease. • The transform tool is sketchy and doesn't let you change size by percent or lock rotational transformations or align things (which is weird

This is the most powerful app for drawing I have ever owned. It's very easy to use and is capable of allowing the user to create beautiful artwork! But I have one beef with it though, it keeps crashing when I open certain drawings up, and I can't export it to my gallery in the menu, so you might loose your artwork if you're not careful.

It didn't warn me about I'm using trial. Suddenly almost all features are locked. It could be made like 'autodesk Sketchbook', they provide enough features to check in free version. Anyway, I used features in 'paint' mostly. Although I couldn't check few features, that part is nice. But yet to check inside 'photo paint' & 'trace'.

...but it really sucks that it keeps getting worse lately, not better. It crashes constantly now and the heavy paint brush no longer works. Big disappointment. I am so ready to trash these silly little apps and go for a Surface tablet that runs the full pro apps.

I really like this app, so much that I bought the full version for $6.14, yet I have stumbled upon several issues. There are no customizable brushes. Sometimes, I am unable to edit the settings of a layer, even when I tap on the selected layer. It is frustrating, especially when I need to edit it. I would appreciate if there was a solution to that.

I had the demo for a long time and it worked fine. Once I bought the basics pack my app crashes on start up and I lost all of my work. I've tried restarting my phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. No luck. I love the app otherwise I just can't seem to use it anymore after I already paid for it :/

You guys should add like a trash bin inside the app. You know for those times when you accidentally delete your entire project you spent a wk and all night on... haha yah, trash bin or like mega undo

02/12/2016 - Please make sure the next update allows straightforward .psd import without merging layers (?) and .psd export to the user assigned folder on the device or cloud service of choice... 02/10/2016 - They have done absolutely *NONE* of these things since last year. Been a Painter supporter/user since the early 90's, how in the h-e-l-l did we arrive at having a shot on smartphones and tablets AND YOU ARE DROPPING THE BALL?!?!! WHOEVER IS THE PROJECT LEADER #FIRETHEM #IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!

This is a good painting/drawing app. While not like the full version of Painter, it does what it intends to do-offer you a way to create on the go. You can import your project into Painter to finish your artwork.

This art app has a few flaws but why do the developers NEGLECT it when it could become the BEST mobile painting app there is? I've tried MANY and this one has some excellent brushing and smudging. Corel, why let this app collect dust when u can make it AWESOME?

Ok I have fixed the problem by deleting all my previous files and starting anew. Update this app would have to make me dinner to rate 5 stars

Fun app, I use it for casual drawing / painting. However not for any commercial work as it crashes regularly and corrupts your layers with black pixels. Great charcoal and watercolour brushes, the best I've ever seen. Watercolour takes some getting used to as you need to block in your base colours in one motion. Each time you lift the brush and resume painting it builds on the previous strokes. In other words, there is not paint dry feature, it builds instantly once you lift your brush.

This is hands down my favorite app to draw/color in images on. I rarely rate unless it's really good, or really bad, so hopefully that speaks to how highly I hold the quality of this app. My only complaint is that it's not available on Microsoft tablets.

At first it was crashing every two minutes or so. Background also going black at random. Clearly would be a brilliant app if it worked without this problem. Fingers crossed that it gets fixed. When I disconnected my bluetooth keyboard the app seemed to stabilise. Not perfect but working much better with external keyboard disconnected.

I happen to of brought the app to unlock it features and a minimum of the brushes work then will not work? And the rest of brush features just applies as a whole colour of pixel? Please fix this, if not then the software was a definite waste of money.

I am really upset. I started a very big piece, spent 10+ hours on it, and now it won't let me draw. I can fill, transform and scale, but I can not DRAW. The pen will not work.

Like the tracing and paint fetures. This doesn't work with the Samsung note pen... finger only. So sad. When using the pen it is almost not not sensitive. Delay before it starts drawing and brush size way small and colors will change after selecting second color and start second color in first color area it will only draw in first colors color. Wierd things happen when using the pen.

I loved this app when I first downloaded it. I did so much art on it. So when my trial was over I did not hesitate in purchasing the entire package. As soon as I purchased it, it stopped opening. I deleted it powered my phone down restarted and downloaded again and nothing happens. What a waste. Totally bummed out.

I installed this just to try out the watercolor brushes, but was disappointed. The brushes bleed, but they won't blend. They don't act like real watercolors at all.

Got around the crash by opening pre-existing project and saying yes to the tour prompt. After that I could use "create" without it crashing.

Hello there, I have a big problem. Although I have found this to be the best drawing app I could find, after I paid for tools and let my tablet on overnight, the app freezes at the main screen for a little bit, then crashes! It worked fine before I paid for the tools I needed! Please fix the crashing! Only reason you don't get a 1 star is because I found this to be the best tool for me to draw with on Android! Layers help with image editing as well!

Okay nevermind this app is useless now! I can no longer export my projects to a .psd! The previous version would email the file to me so that I could continue to work on it on my PC. The developers have ruined this app pandering to a casual audience instead of professional digital artists.

I use to love it. However with the recent updates everything I used to love it for now costs money, there are a hundred apps out there that do the same thing this one does and they don't cost a penny

I love this app a lot, but it keeps crashing in the middle of paintings; to the point where I have to save after every.little.thing. and I still lose a lot of work. I paid for the app and it seems like ever since I did all it does is crash every minute. I know it's not the tablet itself since it is brand new and doesn't have this problem with *any* other app.

Still crashing on latest 2.1.3 version --- Just attempting to create a new canvas with default settings generates the same "Unfortunately, Corel Painter has stopped ..." message as others have been receiving - been this way for months now - cleared cache and data, uninstalled and reinstalled, still doesn't work on my Samsung Tab 3 10.1"

It still not as robust as Procreate and doesn't simulate natural media as well as Artrage. It is still one of the better mobile art apps, has potential to be great but isn't there yet.

Knowing Corel I expected much more than this, there UI is great and every thing works as it should and the app itself is great(I don't know why so low ratings) but the thing is where are the selection tools like lasso and wand . Are they even on their way ? Also what about perspective tools and guides ? Again love the app and that color picker.

This isn't a bad little mobile app, but the features are limited. 72 DPI as default resolution is way too low. The transform tool needs to be more versatile; the options need to be categorized like: Shrink/enlarge, rotate, move-- these all need to be separated to make work more consistent. There should be simple shape tools; line, square, etc. to make things like borders and symmetry more capable features. Lastly, exporting is extremely limited; need to be able to export all formats anywhere.

I was planning on buying this app but it's crashing wayyy too often and losing hours of work. I'm using it on a Galaxy A5, it crashes randomly or when drawing a very long line. It's a good app but I lost two great paintings due to random crashes and I'll have to switch to one of the more stable apps, because this was incredibly frustrating. At least add a simple autosave feature.

1) you really got to stop asking for ratings after user has rated. 2) "brush #4 are not visible from view. New feature please 1) Create one's own brushes - free to paid customers, 2) favourite color palette, please. Lastly absolutely love those layers and the effects I can use , like having a mini photoshop on my smartphone. My advise when using thus app, save your work often, and don't be having too many layers, even my desktop pc crashes using photoshop with too many layers.

I love this app but then I perched a pack now I can go in the app without it crashing and it's not asking me to report it anymore. Please fix it. 2 stars are waiting.

I love this app, it makes my previous works of art fabulous, and my newer pieces stunning. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because after saving midwork 3 times, I lose my work. I have an Android Moto 3, also it would be nice to have my color wheel saved for my work. When I go back in to work on something it goes back to black, regardless. Once these are fixed it'll get 5 stars.

Dont buy. Demos cool...purchased app is buggy, crashes constantly, saves incorrectly or not at all. ..is unreliable and extremely frustrating ...i feel ripped off

Great features. Color picker could be improved with most used/recent colors. Sometimes there is lag in responsiveness

I want to trace a picture from anywhere but my gallery... it doesn't work. I choose Google photos, I choose Picasa... select, ok... nothing!

It has features most others do not, the simple ability to rotate the page is so nice. It is meant to be a supplementary rather than primary tool, so I'm OK with the level of features for the most part though it would be nice to get a little more variety with smudge. That said, Corel's natural media brushes are unrivaled and really feel a lot closer to the real thing than any other program. Why only 3 stars? It crashes *all* the time.
