Official Mobile App for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library.
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is the nonprofit organization created by President Reagan himself and specifically charged by him with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles. The Reagan Foundation invites you to learn about President and Mrs. Reagan and the American Presidency through the use of this App and by visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, located in Simi Valley, California.
When outside the Reagan Library, the App provides multimedia-rich information about the Presidency, including speeches, audio quotes and video from President Reagan. It also provides planning information for upcoming visits to the Reagan Library.
Outside the Reagan Library, the App features:
• “About the President” – Learn more about President Reagan and his life in the White House; read his daily diary and view his daily White House schedule; receive an audio quote of the day; view photos of his presidency; record your very own Reagan Story and submit it to the Reagan Foundation for possible inclusion on their Social Media sites.
• “About the Reagan Library and Museum” – Plan your visit to the Reagan Library; get driving directions; learn about hours of operation; purchase advance tickets; view photos of the Reagan Library campus.
• “About the Foundation” – Learn more about the Reagan Foundation; view its calendar of events; view past event photos
• “Support Us/Membership” – Learn about Membership opportunities to the Reagan Library.
• “Museum Store” – Explore the Reagan Library’s online Museum Store.
• “Social Media” – Link to the Reagan Foundation’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr and Pinterest websites.
To enhance your visit to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the App expands when you are on the Library Campus, providing you with additional features to improve your touring experience. With a $2.99 in-app purchase (which can only be made on the Reagan Library campus), additional features include:
• An audio tour that includes over 50 audio stops in the voices of President and Mrs. Reagan. The entire tour is original material, none of which is duplicated in the exhibits, including additional photographs and videos. The audio tour is available in English and Spanish, as well as captioned for the hearing impaired.
• Additional audio stops for our temporary exhibits.
• An annotated map of the Reagan Library campus
• “Live From the Reagan Library” – Record a short video about your visit to the Library and submit it to the Reagan Foundation for possible inclusion on their Social Media sites.

Sadly, I bought & paid for the audio tour after installing the app & it continually crashed. It would only play 10 seconds of the audio & then crash. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling, and also tried restarting my phone. It crashed every time.

The app is broken. I bought the audio tour for 3 bucks and it doesn't work. It plays a clip for 15 seconds and then stops. It won't play the rest and is unusable. I tried to reinstall and now it doesn't recognize that I even bought it. No reply yet from the developer about refunds or solutions.

Android app force closes throughout the tour. Audio just stops for no reason. Does not start with location. No audio at all for the Spy Exhibit. Severely drains battery. Daughter's iPod worked flawlessly. Total ripoff for Android. C'mon devs!

First off, on my Nexus 4, I had to stop by the information desk for them to set up my phone so that it could download the application. You have to turn on all location toggles, then uninstall the application, then reinstall it, then go into a hidden setup menu in the program itself, then toggle some more location permissions, and eventually, you can download the audio tour. Once downloaded, expect wasted time as the program stops at random points and force-close at times. Every time you pause it, it freezes up. Half-way through the tour the play/pause buttons shrunk to a font size that was almost impossible to use. It sometimes knows where you are in the exhibit, and other times you have to menu-back an select the correct stop number. There were less than 60 audio stops for the library. Most of the clips were very brief and the content didn't add very much to the overall information that you could read on the wall plaques between the audio stops. Given that the cost of entrance skyrocket to $22 for the last traveling exhibit, and the number of bugs still in the software, I really think the downloaded audio tour should have been offered free of charge.

My son and I both bought & downloaded this app and found it did not work well at the Library. During the Spy exhibit the narration the tour would just drop out. I'd have to replay, and it'd stop on its own. I think part of the problem is the wifi at that exhibit. We wasted $2.99 apiece. Maybe it works better on iPhones...

Just came back from a visit to the Reagan Presidential Library. The app really helped with trip planning and navigating the Library. Excellent information contained in this app. As a card carrying Foundation Member, I highly recommend this app to all visitors to the Library.
