Cox Contour

Absolutely horrific. It freezes every other half second. It's pathetic. I have installed this on multiple devices with the same exact issue. Why has this not been addressed and why was this app even released? So this is part of what I'm paying for? I just can't believe how bad this is. Wow. This never should have been released. Please find another firm to contract out to fix, actually start from the ground up, this "app". I don't know if it even qualifies as an app if it doesn't work... It's just lines of terrible coding. And no, it isn't a weak wifi signal. I have no issues with Netflix or anything else. 0.000 out of 10.

Won't even let me login. I get an error every time I do. Login works on my computer though.

I do have a question. Is there an additional cost to view contour on your tablet? Or can you view it on your tablet free of charge? Otherwise, I love it. My TV in my bedroom has gone kaput, so I'm now able to watch TV on my tablet. Perfect. However, I cannot seem to find out if there is an additional charge to watching on my tablet. Please help.

Passable app for a phone, no cast support, no Android TV support either. Cox is gimping it's IP TV solution to convince you to get an expensive cable package and equipment. #BadFriendInTheDigitalAge

This app is ridiculous. Below it says "inside your home, watch live tv". But only on a smartphone! If you try to viziocast or Chromecast to your smart TV, Cox tells you to go jump in a lake! They tell you to use an hdmi cable :( maybe they want you to PAY MORE to go wireless inside your house????? Update (see Cox info below). Thanks for this info, but until you show me a content contract that says "connection to tv must be wired, no casting allowed", i have to believe you're either not telling the truth or simply haven't investigated what you claim are "restrictions beyond your control"

Useless if you want to watch most live tv or any recordings or even to set a recording remotely. Uverse is much better from a mobile standpoint

Why would i need contour at home if i have my wifi. I wanted this to watch tv on the go. But nooooo have to be connected to home internet. Boooooo

It only works on new devices i have a 2004 computer and a 2013 computer they are both updated but this wont run on either of them other wise it would be a good app

I love the flexibility btwn devices.. I mean all apps have a flaw somewhere or another..ijs thanks Cox Appreciate You especially when I need to catch on a show when I'm away from home.

Never works. While at home (Cox wifi)...just continue to get no channel info (or shows) and is useless

Has to be on cox wifi, and doesn't support casting to other devices. Really inconvenient

I think the app is cool. I can watch movies I purchased on my tablet and you can download your movies to your tablet so you don't need WIFI to watch them.

Got the app to watch tv on the go but must af the channels at in home there no point for this app

It doesn't work outside of your network range. And it can't cast.

App is garbage, a complete waste of time. Most channels can only be viewed on wifi. What am I paying for? More poor service from cox.

I think people should give u credit I mean u people r the one that made it possible for them to be on the app and watch shows so they should be happy with that keep up the great work.

The app is good its good when you won't to watch tv and the others are watching in the living room so yeah

Now I can understand why all the bad reviews, it does suck not to have Chromecast support, I'm sure Cox is worried they will loose money, but even with it's shortfalls I do like the app. I have two kids who do not want to watch football ,with this app I can watch football on my tablet and play with and watch cartoons with my kids. Stupid cuz you can't cast it like they say you can

I've only been able to use it to watch a show ONCE. Ever since then, when I try to open an episode list, it crashes.

It doesn't allow me to watch any major networks. Why would you restrict me like this? I can't even watch football on channels like ABC NBC FOX wth??? Somebody didn't think this app through.

When will you be able to watch all channels when you are out of the home?

Needs the capability to Cast to Chromecast, roku, etc desperately

Just useless app! Most probably Developers put their feedbacks here under this comment that they sre ver sorry, personally I do not care how u fell, I'd rather to see is you just go and fix this application so show how really sorry you are or just remove it completely don't wast people time.

If Cox doesn't have an app for Roku or similar devices, then the least they could do is give contour "cast" abilities. DRM is a poor excuse this day and age. I want to be able to stream my cable to my TV. So I end up just using the individual channel apps with cable login. Contour app is pointless.

Pointless app. You can only watch live TV when you are on your own network, can't watch recordings from your DVR either remotely or on your own network. Pretty pointless to even have an app if you can't use it when away from home.

This is one of the worst investments I've ever made. The service they provided ten years ago was better. My 1st bill was $1037.47 and I refused to pay and they shut it off when I have a signed contact that says $148 per month

Pour quality UI. Can't change font size so only able to see 30 min in guide. Can't filter guide to favorite channels so have to scroll through all listings. Slow loading of guide details and program info.

This app is the worst, putting aside that I can't cast/ have an app for my roku tv, which I am assuming is because they want me to pay more money to have my own personal box for my room, or that I have to be on my home wifi instead of using my data or another wifi system, its just not a good streaming app. Like I can't even watch my show in fullscreen. I have to squint just so I can see my show. I downloaded this because I was tired of having a bunch of apps that I signed in with my cox account taking up storage on my phone, it turns out I would rather have a bunch of apps take up my storage then have this half-ass attempt of a streaming service.

Cox is the greediest cable company in all of america!! All they care about is how much money they can charge you!! They will say you have a locked in plan. But within 3 months they will change it... going from 132$ a month to 180$ with NO NOTIFICATION AND NO REASON FOR THE JACK UP IN RATES!! I didn't get more channels... you TOOK SOME!! YET HERE I AM PAYING 40$ MORE A MONTH FOR BASIC CABLE!!! Basic cable shouldn't be 100$!!! We get ZERO CHANNELS... NO MOVIE CHANNELS AT ALL!! YOU GUYS TOOK ALL THE SINHLE CHANNELS EVERYONE LIKES AND PUT THEM IN HIGHER PAY PACKAGES SO EVERYONE MUST PAY!! COX IS FILLED WITH GREED!! I WILL BE CUTTING THE CORD WITH THEM!!

This app is terrible. It does not let me access the TV shows I have recorded which is the entire reason I downloaded it. Not only that, but it barely has any features available for me when I'm not on my home wifi.

I have a pixel XL and this app will not work for it and continually gives me a security error and has me reinstall it or reset my modem and both options have not worked

Every single show I wanted to watch said available to watch at home only. So for me, it was absolutely worthless.
