Un 24 de marzo de 1988 Mario Cesar Huarte En el barrio Ciudad Industrial hoy Don Jaime de Nevares, con unos pocos cassettes, unos discos y todas las ganas comenzó una historia que ya lleva 27 años, FM ARGENTINA RADIOESTACION LMJD “ENTRA POR LOS OIDOS LLEGANDO DIRECTO AL CORAZON” luego y al no tener el lugar propio, se trasladó a un lugar que Juan Vilches le facilitó en el Barrio el Progreso para poder llegar a la zona urbana, ya que los equipos eran de muy baja potencia, sin dejar de soñar con las instalaciones propias, las que hoy se encuentran ubicadas en calle Arabarco 1412 del Barrio Villa Ceferino de Neuquén Capital, con gran inserción en los barrios de la capital y localidades vecinas FM ARGENTINA 99.5 MHz. Abrió los micrófonos para que la totalidad de las voces se escucharan.


Promediando la década del ´90 FM ARGENTINA 99.5 MHz firma un acuerdo con Aserradero Los Pinos de la Ciudad de Plottier y beneficia a varias familias que sufrieron la perdida de su vivienda por incendio construyéndoles una prefabricada que se les entrego a los vecinos damnificados


Entre los años 1995 a 1999 FM ARGENTINA transmitió en directo la reunión que los vecinos mantenían todos los lunes desde cada uno de los barrios de la ciudad con las autoridades municipales y legislativas durante la gestión de Luis Julián Jalil en la Intendencia de la Ciudad de Neuquén.


Hoy con modernos equipos de transmisión, unidades de exteriores, una sala de locución con capacidad para recibir a mas de 8 actores y protagonistas de la comunidad, llegando a todos los hogares de la ciudad y alrededores, continúa esa inclaudicable vocación de llevar todas las voces a través del aire a todos los hogares de la región, con una programación diversa que le permite a la sociedad toda mantenerse informado en todos los acontecimientos que suceden a diario, la transmisión de la campaña futbolística de la Selección Nacional y de Boca Juniors en directo con programas de la Agricultura, de Opinión, Informativos, Deportivos, de Interés General, durante su transmisión las 24 horas del día, y lo mas importante la interacción con la audiencia.


Siendo participe del crecimiento de nuestra ciudad y permitiendo la libre expresión de todos los actores de la comunidad, realizando campañas solidarias, campañas viales, de salud, festejando anualmente con espectáculos al aire libre cada cumpleaños por los cuales fue declarado de interés municipal, los festejos de los 18 años, 24 años, los 25 años y los 27 años (Bodas de Plata con la audiencia) de la emisora. En el año 2013 participa del concurso convocado por la A.F.S.C.A. y entre 26 concursantes es uno de los 7 ganadores ocupando el 2do. Lugar según Acta 42/2013 del directorio de A.F.S.C.A. Obteniendo la tan ansiada Licencia mediante Resolución A.F.S.C.A. 1246/2013, por lo que hoy somos LRU 326 FM ARGENTINA 98.9 MHz.


Los objetivos no cambiaron pero se fueron agregando otros a la decisión de incorporar tecnología de punta que lleva a que hoy la señal de la radio sea tomada por radios del interior y el mundo a través de www.fmargentina.com.ar ante tamaña inserción en la sociedad de un medio de comunicación como lo es FM ARGENTINA, NO ES DESCABELLADO DECIR QUE: En en el mes de Marzo de 2016 su cumpleaños número 28 (la Gente con la Radio…cumplen un año mas) se ha transformado orgullosamente en la Voz del Pueblo llegando directo al corazón del alto valle del Neuquén y el Río Negro.
