Word App Pro is a word generator using the CSW15 (new!), OTCWL 2014, CSW12, SOWPODS or TWL06 word lists, used in tournament Scrabble.
Easily check a word is valid for the selected word list. Search for words that can be made from entered letters, and more with multiple search types.
For Scrabble players to crossword solvers.
Note: the definitions feature of this Pro version uses a web service to retrieve the definition. Some words, especially the more obscure, may not have definitions available.

These words aren't really words / A common word is not included.
There are a great many words in use in the English language and I cannot hope to please everyone as to their definition of what is a word or not. The dictionaries offered to use are official word lists used in tournament Scrabble. I think if anyone knows whether a word should be in or out of an application like this then it's these guys.

Do you have your search type set correctly for what you are trying to do? Chances are you want the 'Build' search type.

Nice reliable app. It could use a few more features to be perfect. ***Update on Aug 14, 2015: This is one of the few Android apps that has updated to the OWL3 word list. Very much appreciated! However it would really help if there was an easier way to identify the newly added words, such as italics or a symbol after the new word. Also, a SORT option could be added called OLD/NEW. Also, Craig, when do you plan to update CSW12 to CSW15?

I'm not sure why the developer updated the app with OWL3 when major features like definition lookup remain broken. The "build+" and regular expression search options are also broken. I found Scrabble Expert to be a much better option.

I really appreciate that this has been updated with the new word list. If you play Scrabble and want to learn ( and not just cheat) then it's worth every penny of the price. It's definitely worth learning to use this app.

Word app is my second most used app I final upgraded to pro! What took me so long? I don't know!

Works well on my new Viewpad7. My only complaint is that the "*" search parameter works only in PATTERN mode, not in ANAGRAM mode, which renders this program much less useful than the Lampwords and Zyzzyva desktop programs I am used to.

Love paid version with definitions. Great for learning unfamiliar words. Some words too far out for wordfeud or I wd give it 5 stars.

Works well, doesnt crash often. I wish there was more 'help' with available expressions. Would be good to force a letter in 1 place.

For club scrabble, you have to use the pattern match option to check challenged words, which is not ideal. I would prefer a proper word judge mode. However, one week into 2012, it is the only app (along with its ads version, Word App) that supports CDW12. That's worth the purchase price for me.
