It's like regular hardware only it's...sonic. This fully-manipulatable 3D sonic screwdriver includes 9 functionality modules and customizations. Many functions give REAL sensor readings, others will appeal to devout sci-fi fans. Support phones and tablets in magnificent HD.
The "Ninth" device in "Basic" mode with the "Blue Steel" energy signature is free; other skins, effects, and features can be unlocked with IAB.
BASIC (free)
This mode lets you move and rotate the tool around in 3D space. Activate it with the sonic screwdriver's button and change energy styles in the menu. Double tap-drag to rotate and pinch to zoom and rotate. Most other features also allow for 3D manipulation and activation.
"ALLONSY!"
This ship looks smaller on the outside. Tilt phone/tablet to move, hold your finger on the screen to zoom forward. It's hard to control, but travelling through space and time often is. Hold your phone parallel to the ground to keep it still.
SHARK BAIT
Dangle your sonic screwdriver as shark bait. Tilt phone/tablet to see the device respond to real-world gravity. Activate its sonic button to summon the shark!
TIMEPIECE
A clock by any other name. How will you know when you are without a proper timepiece?
OPEN RIFT
Activate your sonic device to open and close a webcam rift.
SHATTER
The universe is like a piece of glass. If you break it in one spot, the whole thing starts to shatter. Use your sonic device to illustrate the metaphor in dramatic fashion.
COMPASS
"Lots of planets have a north," including this one. Let your sonic screwdriver be your guide to find it. Also displays your current heading in degrees.
PARA-EMF
Use these readings to detect variations in the magnetic waves around your phone - often signs of ghosts or other paranormal and inter-dimensional energy. Expressed in microteslas (uT).
CLIMATE
Find out your local weather while travelling so you know if you'll need an umbrella.

Love the app, mostly because I'm a big doctorwho fan and I thought when I downloaded it, it was going to be a rip off or not work at all, but it's a very good app, it works on my pantech flex, a bit. It glitches out when I use it sometimes, PlZ fix so I can buy the other stuff

Just got the full version and it's great. My other sonic screwdriver app would freeze on me so I got this and gave the other one the boot and I kust say it is definitely worth the money

I tried to open it and then it just... crashed. For no reason. If anyone else had this problem maybe it's the phone. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy s 7

The spanner keeps vanishing and I can only make it do the sound for the first few seconds. Also does not resond to many of the stated gesture commands.

Although I know you have to make profit from the app, I'm disappointed, I can't buy it even if I want to. Anyway, you get 4 stars 'cause it's really good. I have a suggestion - maybe it'd be better if when you release the button on the screwdriver, the light would gradually turn off the same way it turns on rather than instantly stopping.

Its a very good app for that Doctor Who fan that needs their Sonic Screwdriver, but for me.....it seems that when ever I try to go into the shark, the button lights up and stays lighted up and crashes, and then the weather one seems to work, but only when it wants to and by that when it doesnt it force closes the app.....so, if you can, can you fix those two problems?......thank you and again its a great app, its just those two problems.....have a nice night/day! Edit: i have a Galaxy S4....but i mostly keep it on the charger while i'm messing with my phone....

Could be much better. I paid for the full version of this and I probably shouldn't have. The screwdrivers don't move, the climate setting doesn't work (or takes to long, did not have the patience to wait. )if you are not planning on fixing/improving this anytime soon than I want my money back.

I can't give it a 5 since I only have the basic pack, but the simple yet great design is rather good. A couple of suggestions though, add the option to extend the sonic/open the claws, and add different mode/setting sounds e.g. tracking mode, GPS mode, magnetism mode, etc.

The screwdriver seems to disappear every time I rotate it. This has been a recurring issue more on both my Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4. I uninstalled this app because of this issue, but I had payed for all future content of it. When I reinstalled to see if the rotate issue was fixed, not only did the issue continue, but I can't see a way to restore my purchase.

But there's not enough free features in there to warrant keeping the app. Uninstalling as it is 1) boring with just the one unlocked. 2) annoying to see that the menu is showing basically a money grab sort of idea.

I got the demo version yesterday and have been playing around with it. I have to say I am impressed. I would be willing to pay for the complete package as long as you get a few things fixed. First of all, detail. The 9th and 10th doctor's sonic screwdriver has some detail and you can see a lot of effort has been put into it, but I think the cracked porcelain look doesn't show up, it is just a plain, creamy colour. Also the 3D rotation doesn't work, it disappears when it rotates and the sonic doesn't extend.
