I'd give this app a 5 if it didn't give me so much trouble exporting PDF. The last few times I've used this to export in PDF, I've simply gotten "invalid file format" when I try to open the file. This needs to be looked into.

W70%
by W####:

Have my Google drive installed, celtx updated but Myscreenplays quits every time I try to open the file after downloading. Will NOT buy pro version unless program is near flawless.

K70%
by K####:

Tried a half dozen apps and I'm sticking with this one. By far the easiest for me to be productive with.

C70%
by C####:

I'll get right to the point in saying the only issues I have with this is when ur adding a new sequence the only two options are day and night, no morning, evening or afternoon for when you do have to be a little more specific. The other issue is when I try to upload/send my script I can't do it as a PDF as it comes up saying It's not in PDF format, anyone know if there's a way I can sort this? Other than that though this app is pretty good and very easy to use!

C70%
by C####:

The app makes the entire process horribly awkward. What should be a simple organic process, something that every writer should be able to do easily and quickly, instead becomes an endless fight with the interface. This is not how writing should be.

C70%
by C####:

Just by adding an Undo button this app would easily be worth 5 stars but currently unusable due to high risk of losing whole scenes with no chance of getting them back. Come on dev, please update! I'll buy the pro version if you do!

Keeps crashing when trying to enter characters and dialogue! Very annoying to be in a zone writing and the apo keeps crashing!!!!!! NEED TO FIX ASAP!!!!!!!

I am an up coming writer/actress (hopefully) and I use this to write scripts and it just helps a lot because there are always ideas running through my mind

Writing a shirt film and this a is perfect! Not only can u right a screenplay but it gives u an example really helpful!

I love this app. It's nice to take my scripts on the go. My one problem is that I can import final draft docs easily, but my friend uses Celtx, so I had to switch to that for a project, and I would've love to convert it to final draft but my celtx scripts import into the app blank! Would love a fix unless someone has advice?

C70%
by C####:

I like this app because I can easily keep track of scripts and write single scenes out of order, however after one file it won't let me import any of my existing scripts. I don't know if this is a problem on my end or not but there doesn't seem to be anyway of resolving it.

P70%

I love it. The only thing I'd love to see fixed/added is the ability to insert a new line in between existing lines, without needing to drag the new line all the way from the bottom to a change at the top of the page. Otherwise, thanks a lot for this.

started a script, imported fine from Celtx through google drive (which was exactly was I was looking for) worked on it in the app on the train. got back home and exported it back to celtx to work on it some more. now whenever I try to import it back into the app I get empty screen plays. this is a huge issue and it doesn't seem like it's being properly addressed. I would rate 5 stars if not for this, I would probably buy the paid version if not for this. fix it and I'll update

I love that when I have the chance to work I can. It is a great app for those wanting to write screenplays. Pros: Easy editing, fast script loads. Cons: No title page option, no option to edit contact info (using an LG Enlighten) If the cons are fixed this will be a 5-star app.

Seems like a LOT of improvements have been made since my last review. Interesting how you can "paste" different things by choosing to either Paste by pressing the screen OR to paste by using the "Paste" option in the upper right. (And for the gent who complained that "you can't add new characters," there is a way. Just create the new Character & add his Dialogue, then use the 3 odd-lined icon at the far left to Drag N' Drop his words wherever you want them!) And as for needing an "Uninstall" button - - why not just make 2 copies? One to play with, one as a Backup.

U70%
by U####:

I have written several scripts using Celtx but wanted to try something new. This app well suits my needs. BUT I must suggest a modification. When going to edit Scene Headings, a small menu pops up. "PROPERTIES" is the option to select to begin editing said Scene Heading. Right below this option is "DELETE". It is easy to accidentally delete your work, due to this particularly careless formated menu. I inadvertantly deleted a rather lengthy scene after an hours worth of writing. Not fun.

U70%
by U####:

It's a really great app, I'm pretty new to the script writing business but it made it very simple.. The only thing I want them to to fix is delete conformation, just in case I actually delete something

U70%
by U####:

I know y'all busy,so I'll be brief need more options(like multi select certain scenes to be exported together so i don't have to take the whole thing with the title because highlighting is tough as sh!t with this phone).

Well see I started to use it and it just started to freeze up on me much help to me

U70%

It is very useful, though I dont seem to be able to add line breaks (for songs) or be able to add stage directions mid-dialogue

S70%
by S####:

Really easy to use, very intuitive. Exactly the kind of screewriting program I've been looking for. Export functionality is just great: seamless transfer to Celtx on the comp. Very useful for writing on the fly.

D70%

I wish you could select script and delete it if you wanted to. I am still learning this and want to delete some practice scripts.

G70%

Would give 5 stars, but I don't think that the import instructions are clear. Good app otherwise.

U70%
by U####:

I've used this app for years! There's no app quite as easy or user friendly as this one!!!

K70%
by K####:

It's a simple script writing app and seems to be able to read and write from google drive well after I updated Celtx. Unfortunately, due its unyielding structure, it has formatting quirks and the import/export of Celtx files misses and adds formatting elements, such as INT/EXT and DAY/NIGHT on a montage title.

J70%
by J####:

Won't import a celtx script from my Google Docs/Drive account. It recognizes the file, lets me begin the import, but then it stops halfway through and says no internet connection. Happens every time. The device definitely has an internet connection, unless the app is killing it. Which it apparently is, because after attempting to import my script and getting this error, all internet connectivity dies on my device, both wi-fi and 3G, and I have to reboot the device. This also happens every time.

U70%
by U####:

How do I save a script to my device? I need to be able to access my scripts on location where there will be no internet connection!

U70%

Great tool, similar to scriptbuddy.Only took 5 minutes to work it out.Great tool for a person's 1st screenplay as you can be on a train, add it immediately without having to wait to get home.

U70%

It's easy to use and you can catch on really fast. The best one I've found and have no negative remarks so far

Could you add shot types too? The name, address and etc. doesn't show up while typing, but are displayed in the preview.- Galaxy Note 3.

Q70%
by Q####:

I can't add any more than 7 sequences in a script so can't write any further. Very annoying! Needs editable character and location lists, but all in all a really useful writing tool. Tried reinstalling but still cannot add an 8th sequence. Time for the bin.

Q70%
by Q####:

I got this because I wanted something to use for a solid, professional looking formatting for my script because I've no clue what I'm doing. It wouldn't even start up so that I could use the programme.

This app works great on my other tablet but here it installs, then vanishes. I reinstalled it twice... it never showed up.

Great for your phone. Interesting non linear process. Great export options. Free version is very easy to use. Perfect for getting a scene done while on the go. I will be sharing this with my android using, film making friends!

F70%

This is an awesome app, and ive been using it for a long time now. The reason ive brought myself to write a review is that there is no "undo" button. So, a whole sequence i wrote, which was about 5 pages long got f$%#+@ erased because I accidentally hit the F&$&@&+$ delete button when i went to rename said sequence. Love the app, please make an undo button. Please. Update #1: Again, i find myself pulling out my hair with a whole (explitive) sequence deleted. PLEASE! Make an undo button! I mean seriously.

Played around with it, celtx-ed it and uploaded to my dropbox. Checked my computer and...it works! Not perfect (in which I believe over time it will only get better) but so far it's good enough for me. It's not like I'm gonna write a whole script on my tiny phone anyway. Good job guys!
