When I picked up my car the salesman asked me repeatedly if I was happy with everything he'd done & (referencing the feedback request I'd receive) explained poor ratings in customer satisfaction were not tolerated by Nissan. My God, then, how is this app and it's 2* customer ratings getting past Nissan Management?! The development team for this should be utterly ashamed. It let's down an otherwise excellent product hugely.

X70%
by X####:

Shows miles, not km. Missing much of the information found on the carwings web site. Long delays on each click. Loses connection often. Bad user interface. Many clicks required for simple actions. Why does it always ask if I want a demo? Advice: put the protocol on the public domain so we can develop an open source app.

X70%
by X####:

It can refresh data (it takes long 40seconds), compared with Tesla's few seconds) but it works. Time for completion is for 100% charge only (incl pointless float charge). Doesn't show time for trickle charge. Doesn't show time for 80% charge. Doesn't show outside nor inside temperature. Does show pointless x.x-time for 6kW charger (even if not installed). Can't switch on rear/mirror defrost. Can't adjust recirculation mode. Doesn't show vehicle GPS. NO CHARGING TIMER! App crashes and loses login data.

K70%
by K####:

A little slow and an Issue when two users log in from different devices, Ie, the wife and I. Otherwise manages very when what is capable to do with the car remotely. Like the remote heating option and the attention analyse previous journeys. I don't like however that you have to opt in to use it every time the vehicle starts up. There should be an option to permanently agree and then opt out if you don't like it.

Z70%
by Z####:

Connection is extremely slow. Improvement should include 1)automatic scheduled updates on charge % 2)widgets with updated information & shortcuts 3)notifications directly on the phone instead email 3)detailed log of Trip data journey/ charge history must include timestamps (start & end), KW usage / charging, GPS start & end location 4)Remote GPS location. Remote car locking so I dont wonder if I forgot to lock the car 5)Alarm trigger notifications. 6)Full Satnav integration.

If you read this, try "leaf manager" instead! The app in itself is probably not bad. But the carwings service is way too slow (more than 1 minute for contacting the server) or even not working at all. Nissan, please put some more resources on carwings, decent servers and decent software!

X70%
by X####:

Unlike my Nissan leaf which is excellent, fast and reliable this app is very very slow, very unreliable and not particularly excellent. When it works it is ok and a great help on cold mornings, but it takes about 3 or 4 mins open properly and sometimes does not connect to Nissan's services at all. Come in Nissan fix this app urgently!

X70%
by X####:

Doesn't remember country. Very slow, polling data only when explicitly requested. Would be much faster if data is collected in the background at soon as you log in.

X70%
by X####:

It is now working. Where can I get user ID and password? I have tried everything. It's worst I have ever experienced. Registered at Nissan web, created everything, impassible to add vehicle. You better do something about it.

This ap is MAIN reason, why next year I will buy not Nissan electric car. Your arrogance and ignorance of fixing totally bugged ap is beyond any limits. Very poor ap, never updates, never turns ac on! Not opening for last 4 weeks...

X70%
by X####:

App reports an error then crashes. Why can't Nissan design an app which actually works? I've suffered for 3yrs now.

X70%
by X####:

Unacceptably slow, considering the minimal amount of data it needs to extract. Several minutes are required to know the charge state of the car, anything beyond 2 seconds is just bad programming.

X70%
by X####:

Shameful that Nissan think this app is fit for purpose. It is quicker for me to get dressed and walk to the car in the morning to manually start the climate control than to use the app.

X70%
by X####:

And wait and wait and wait... Ok it works but can often take 4-5 minutes until you get to start the climate control. Poor execution, but at least it works...

O70%

Just updated it and it wants me to register my user ID from the vehicle Navigation System. ??? Totally ambiguous! What's my user ID ? Do I do something in the car, or in the app. Can't see anywhere to do either. Who writes this c**p.

Extremely convenient. Very very big plus for the Leaf owners. I dont see any troubles with connectivity or crashes as some have reported. Every function works

No idea where all the 1sta ratings come from. Si far app worked fine and especially in the colder days I enjoy entering a warm car and never ever have to scrap ice.

Never seems to update quickly, takes nearly two minutes and that's when it works!

Great app with plenty of info about my leaf. You can really test your skills on eco driving, but the real benefit is being able to set your heater, ac or remote charging from your smart phone. I can't understand why the rating's are so low, the only reason I did not go for 5 stars is the slow update time. If you own a leaf this app is a must.

N70%
by N####:

This application is a necessary evil of Nissan leaf ownership. Remotely watching charging is a huge help at service stations and the data helps use the car effectively, but the application is horribly slow and unstable. I'm sure that a bit of ux effort code make this work really well.

X70%
by X####:

Was surprised to find this now available after the security issue, but called Nissan and discovered that the security issue has been fixed. Have now tried the app on both iOS and Android and it seems to work fine, albeit VERY slowly.

X70%
by X####:

Mainly due to poor effort and lack of development as other simpler 3rd party apps are more reliable. Barely able to connect the past few weeks yet an alternative app seems to cope better with these problems and is already more simple to use with less need for multiple clicks and continual communication attempts at each step that now mostly fail and require restart of this app.

X70%
by X####:

It needs a minute or so to update, and is riddled with bugs and errors. Most 3rd part apps are better. This app is garbage, and complete work of amateurs.

X70%
by X####:

Amazingly bad app. Does not allow me to log in. Forgets my email address. Nissan should stop advertising the benefits because it is misrepresentation of services. Have contacted my friends who have bought a Leaf within the last 2 weeks, and all of them are having the same problem.

X70%
by X####:

Takes forever to load and allow me to make changes, then takes even longer to turn on the heater. It's been years, Nissan should know what is causing this and fix it. One of the selling points of the leaf made by the salesman is the remote heater function, I can hardly ever use it!

N70%
by N####:

Great idea and format but absolutely unreliable and pathetic. LEAF Manager is much better and a must for LEAF owners!

Q70%
by Q####:

Slow (non-functional while data queries are pending). Would prefer a more modern UI and a Widget, it does work as-is though.

Q70%
by Q####:

I really like this app. I can only imagine the people who are calling it out are impatient.

X70%
by X####:

Updating the car's status is extremely slow, when it works, and often fails or shows old data. No text/alert when charged option. I rarely bother with it any more.

Y70%
by Y####:

Very slow and not always reliable. This is partly due to the Nissan servers but Leaf Manager does a better job

I'm surprised a major Japanese automotive company, usually noted for "Takumi" in their products, would release software of such substandard quality. Sure it is slow and clunky; not great but I can take that. Some bugs however are just not OK. I only recently (3 days ago) got my Leaf. Last night the weather forecast predicted snow and dropping temperatures well below freezing. Great! I thought, time to test the "auto heat before travel" function. Installed the app, logged in, waited an age for the car data to update (again I'll take that). Set heater timer for 6:30 the following morning. It refused; stating that time must be set farther away than 5 minutes in the future. OK, I thought, perhaps I made a mistake in entering the time. Try again, same result. Try a different time and date; this time 72h in the future. Again it refused with time needs to be 5 min or more in the future. Found a few other bugs as well but that is another story. Downloaded a 3rd party app. Also a bit clunky but at least it worked a charm. You paid someone to develop this app for you Nissan? You were robbed!

X70%
by X####:

Absolutely pointless. Because Nissan's website has crashed and won't enable can't use this. Waste of time.
