Asha, really good explanations but not all the videos work fine. I'm really disappointed with the advanced 1 and 2 apps which are so buggy. I almost can see no video. Otherwise, really good explanations. I learned to skate pretty fast.

You may think the price for this app is high but what you get is amazing. Every thing in the video is broken down into a step by step guide which is very thorough you will definitely be watching it over & over again. Each of the videos has a comprehensive set of notes attached which helps even more with breaking down the moves. I was so impressed with this app I also down loaded Skate Lessons Advanced-2 which is the same high standard. These apps will certainly improve my skating at a far faster and safer rate. Definitely worth every penny.

This stuff is pretty advanced. If you are only buying one app, I would suggest choosing if anything a level down, rather than up, from where you think your skating is. The app is wrapper for a set of videos (offline, and does not duplicate what Asha has put on youtube). The videos are high quality as is the instruction. Asha emphasises getting the building blocks of the skills right and learning properly, with a depth and detail which is not covered in any youtube videos I have seen. You could use it to supplement lessons, and if you cannot get lessons it is certainly a lot better than no guidance. For me the Intermediate app would be right, but at time of writing it is still having teething trouble sorted out, so I tried this one. This app is all about backwards skating, which must be fun, though for street skating, about as useful as a reverse gear on a bike. Still it does look cool. I got enough value from this app to justify the price, even though I am still working on forwards skating. For a skater at level it is aimed it, it is great value: a lot to pay for an app, but not a lot for a top notch instruction video which to some extent replaces the need for private lessons.

This whole series is excellent - I wish I could find similar for figure skating (on-ice) too. Being able to take this tuition along with you to skate is invaluable. The only thing that could possibly be better is taking actual lessons from Asha herself. Brilliantly and clearly taught - plenty to learn and for the stuff I can do it has helped me to review my technique. I have bought the Intermediate and Advanced and they come highly recommended. Very good value too, when you consider what this would cost as private tuition. No running issues on Galaxy S4 Mini. I may be in the office but skates are on..........now if only my skating was as sublime as my tutors..........

I've followed the Skatefresh series through Intermediate and am now working on Advanced, thanks to Asha. I've watched all the YouTube videos on skating I can find and nothing comes close to this for real instruction, not just watching someone do it for thirty seconds. Asha is an amazing skater with a talent for teaching others.

Very thorough instructions. And teaches how to skate backwards that I need. But it say 50 minutes of video time, I can only make that a bit over 30 minutes. Had hoped I got a few more tricks for the money. Maybe in an update? :-)
