Dream Payments

Very convenient for accepting payments. Pos software not as good as square but the ability to take debit makes it better in my opinion.

Our machines (we have 2) work awesome. Yes we still have to log in again after 1 hour inactivity but we don't seem to have issues with that. What I do not like is the fact that it does not allow for inventory control of any kind. We have our catalog entered but cannot enter quantities leaving us to either manually count our Stock or use a completely separate program. This to me does not make any sense.

Any time I have the opportunity to use it I can't log in, its trying to update, or the reader doesn't connect. In fact I'm trying to update now. It's been 1/2 an hour and the it's still at 0% transferred files. I'm just getting more and more frustrated with this system. I think I'm just going to say screw it and stick with square.

What kind of payment system doesnt allow you to enter the information on the card reader. You have to use your phone then the reader. Awful. Then when you call customer service and they give you no answers. I was left on hold for an hour. Then i left a message and no return phone call. I was left unable to do business. Because i got locked out.

So im in the middle of a park vending when i go to use the machine and the app logs out due to inactivity. So you keep relogging in over and over while your customers wait. Then i misenter the pin and the system locks me out. No security question so you can keep doing business. Just a lockout. So i call customer service and no one answers the phone. So i now am trying to sell and i have no debit or credit. And having to use your phone and the reader. You cant enter your transaction into the machine.

Wow... I have a brand new s7 edge and would never considered rooting my new phone ever. I have proof my phone isn't rooted because my knox isn't tripped and I just received my system update. Wow.... useless.

Would love to try it but the app will not work on a "rooted" phone. Never had that problem with any applications before!? I will keep on using Square.....

It's an easy to use system that doesn't require all the credit and background info the traditional terminals need and was set up and taking payments in an hour. The one draw back I wish so bad could be better is the App freezes or times out and sometimes it takes me going on to another phone to try logging in. This has cost me time and customers as well as lack of trust from customers when it doesn't work properly. If your App worked better I would give 5 stars.

The app constantly hangs and does not work.

I really like this unit I just wish I can build my Catalog online on my laptop. Support interface needs to be more user-friendly.

Works great on my phone but keeps shutting down on my tablet. Why?

They do not support the business type PHARMACY. Such a waste of time. I wonder what else they do not support.

App won't start because it claims I have a rooted phone. This phone has never been rooted.

This app works great on my phone, but will not open on my tablet. Do you have another app that is specifically for tablets?

So far so good can You pls increase inactivety Time at least minimum 6 hrs to 12hrs

It is excellent for accepting debit card, and credit card, and apple pay, but weakness is every time when I need to use it in hurry, always need to sign in again, waste my time to log in, I use it all time in street festival event, seriously, if compare with square, I never need to sign in again once I login

Don't use. If they don't like what you sell, you will not get approved after you send all info including bank information. WASTE OF TIME!!

Dealing with Dream Payments was an extended nightmare that lasted a full month ending with a disappointing conclusion.

I switched from square to dream payments to be able to accept interac cards and the fact that customers have bigger trust into this reader that uses the chip with pin. Been using it for 2 months now and I love it!!

The main reason I switched to this from my square-shaped card reader was to accept Interac cards, and I'm glad I did! Contactless credit cards are a bonus. Interact Flash would be awesome - hopefully that's coming soon. Customers love it and comment on how it's different than other vendors. Vendors are interested in it to be able to accept Interac. The app and reports aren't as polished as what I'm used to, but Dream Payments is fresh, coming out with updates, and they accept suggestions to make it better.

The unit I received stopped working with 2 weeks, concerned about future problems I soon found out after the 1 year warranty you are on your own, it's going back to Telus for a refund!! Another issue is you can not manually enter a Credit Card for a offsite customer. As much as I hate sending my $$$$$ outside Canada I still find The Square to be a better product, although they don't take Debit as of yet I am told it is in the works hopefully before the end of the year.

This app is easy to use and set up. The customer service representatives were helpful answering all our questions and the manager was really helpful and efficient helping me get everything going. Highly recommend!!!!

Overall my experience has been a great one. From purchase of the pinpad to setup of accounts, I was up and running, accepting payments within a few hours. The app has its bugs and some features to be desired, but being a new provider to the market, DreamPayments has plenty of room to grow. The biggest drawback currently with the app for my use is that it times out (without any warning until you're ready to accept a payment), as well as no quick login feature.

Had to drive an hour to return 1st reader which I bought online, now the 2nd reader has the same tamper issue, they won't let me return to the closest Telus store, instead I have to drive an hour to a store to get my $ back. Absolutely ridiculous customer service!!!

I have enjoyed my experience with Dream Payments thus far. I perform IT services in Rural Canada, and there is the occasional instance where a customer wants to pay via card. It is not often, but it happens. I tried to get a reader through my bank, but they made it a pretty big deal; Large security deposit required, monthly fees, thorough background check, etc.. Not worth the hassle for the amount that I process cards. Dream Payments doesn't require any of that stuff. All you need is a)A bank account, b)A DP Card reader, and c)Proof that you run a legitimate business. I have had no issues with the app or the reader thus far. Will update this review if my experience changes.

Finally a simple solution for mobile payments particularly the ability to accept debit. Would give it five stars if you could use the system to also take payment over the phone. Did have to perform a reset on the unit once but customer support was helpful and got me up and running quickly.

A little bit of a hassle setting up my account took 3 days to set up my account. Before using it give yourself about a week before hand to get everything verified. The actual debit machine is really easy to use and the application is great as well. Hope this helps.
