EBSCO eBooks

Downloaded this to get an e book through Caledon public library. Caledon directs you to the website for this purpose but wanted to try the Android app. Of course, caledon isn't on the list. The only Ontario listing seems to be North York regional hospital. Totally useless for me.

The app easily allows me to checkout ebooks, but I receive an error every time I try to download them for offline use. I tried reinstalling the app, but that did not help. The app is useless to me if I can't read the books offline. This app needs some serious work!

Had to make an account to access a book for class. Fine, that's okay. The print is insanely tiny and I can not find a way o make it a decent size. Will change my review if I figure out how.

Just like the rest of the reviewers mentioned, it pretty sad. Biggest issue is you can't change the font size -- which one would think is a pretty basic function of a READING app -- so almost useless on a phone. If they could fix that, it would be passable but as is not so much.

Worst ebook reader I have tried. Chrome works better. Can't even adjust font size. Page flip way too sensitive. I hate that my library made a deal with this product.

Often has blank pages and app needs to be restarted, sometimes this helps, often it doesn't. Nearly useless. Highlighting may or may not work, depending on the book.

Ummm ... what is this app supposed to do? I have a company-provided subscription to EBSCOHost, but I don't see that listed as one of the supported Libraries. So, either this app doesn't do what I expected, or it hides that capability really well. Either way ... Uninstalled.

This app takes ages to download any book for offline reading. It then often crashes after viewing the first couple of pages. The interface when viewing book content is abysmal.

Please contact your institution for assistance. [Authentication Error Code 104] I refuse to believe "my institution" has anything to do with this app not being able to even ID me properly..

Utterly useless. My library is on the app but it refused to connect to it, even after having registered on EBSCO. Disappointing!

I can't open any of my REQUIRED TEXTS from the EBSCO website because they just won't open on the app. There is absolutely no way for the app to recognize the .acsm files despite what it tells you.

This app is way too glitchy and you cant change the text size and it stops workig whenever you open another window or turn the page.

It tells me my user ID and password combination does not exist but I know it is the right ones and tried it many times it does not work!

Just a poorly coded app. I could probably do better.

I can't search for a word in the ebook. It shuts down the apps saying unfortunately the app stopped working.

I have checked and double checked and triple checked my account and password. This app will not allow me in, but at least the website still works. Please fix.

This app would be way better if it hadn't been developed by a sentient potato.

Does not let me sign in to my library on my Android device... Works on my iPad but not my phone :(

Second attempt to download succesful. Yay! But then the pages were invisible. This app is in serious need of improvement.

App is super complicated to use. Should have a better user interface like HOOPLA or something. But this app....just didnt do what i wanted it to.

It's difficult to download I don't know why I tired using WiFi and my data takes time to download

In my institution I can connect online into ebsco database, but with android app there is some problem with it and can´t connect.

I can't login to my institution. I keep getting some error 101 code. Completely useless!!!

As a librarian and a proponent of accessibility and digital fluency, I find the intuitive interface of the EBSCO ebooks application allows for easy searching, downloading, and reading of any of the ebooks in my library's EBSCO collections. This app provides a mobile friendly access point for myself and my students to utilize on the go.

The app launches every time I try to download any PDF from the web but fails to open them.
