EchoHacks Speech Trainer enables the user to speak into the microphone and
to hear back the user's own voice through headphones after a specific delay in seconds.
The voice is echoed back automatically, while standard audio recorders
would require multiple button clicks to duplicate this process.

for accent reduction, foreign language pronunciation, diction, articulation,

foreign accent, and improve his public speaking skills. He developed the app
after realizing that no tools were available that would assist him to focus on
deliberate practice (focused high repetition drills) in speech training.
IMPORTANT:
* The app will only function with a phone headset.
* The app is a speech training tool and does not record audio.
* The app will run in the background.
*** Troubleshooting : Device is not recognizing the headset connection ***
There are some devices that do not auto-detect a headset connection, so the
the app won't run. In this case, you can use the SoundAbout app to overwrite
the default headset setting. Click on the Media Audio section and select Wired Headset.
In most cases, this will solve this issue.

The software is good. But as a stammer its better. However, it doesn't work with bluetooth ear-phone. I cant move always with wired earphone or talk to one with earphones on using the echo hacks, quite rude I guess. Pls fix this problem.

I have to speak with the public all day selling cars and I'm not the greatest speaker. Maybe a little nervous probably confident problem. I think people like me that's why they buy from me so they overlook my problem. I had this app for about a hour and it's helping clean up my vocabulary now that's fast. Everyone knows it's important to record one's own speech. But it's just too much pain in the butt. I find this app incredibly useful for a lazy bum like me. All you have to do is just speak and the phone plays back what you just said. You'll look like a maniac, but who cares. I love this. I think everyone who needs to speak in public should get this. Or anyone who wants to correct their accent.

This is amazing. If you are concerned about your foreign language accent, or are a singer wanting to improve your diction, get this app. You will be able to get immediate feedback of your pronunciation and hear what you really sound like. It is a real eye (ear) opener

This app is amazing! I don't have to adjust my schedule to fit in hours to go see my language tutor for help on my pronunciation anymore. After major surgery on my upper jaw my speech had become very hard to understand. This app allows me to hear myself exactly as others hear me and to judge objectively my voice quality. Using short delays before replay I can pick one by one the sounds of speech that are slurred, work on each in turn, repeating words and phrases as often as necessary to re-educate my oral muscles and reflexes to form sounds that are recognizable again. . . - After 2 days of training my speech quality has improved a lot, speech is still partly off but understandable. This is a huge emotional step for me as I was despairing of being able to achieve this before finding the speech trainer.

Simple, but it has an adjustable slider that goes from a moment's delay to maybe 30 seconds, and that's pretty cool.
