EcoCash (Data App)

I had this splendid application on my previous Android and I really liked it. It's been a couple of days since I bought a new phone and this application keeps saying: 'You are not allowed to have this application running in two phones simultaneously', yet I made sure to delete it from my previous phone!

It was working fine. But now I can't use it, all I get is a error message about sim

Econet is not even ashamed to design an app that works only with an internet connection. They should have provisioned free data bundles specifically for that. After all the app seems to have security flaws. Use it with care.

This whole business of not being able to use the app on another phone after changing phones is disappointing. Econet really doesn't make an effort.

Great app! Please add a text box for entering the OTP if logging in from another device because I am tired of changing sim cards just to access your app!

Why are you bothering us with questions like childhood nicknames? Most of us dont have one and I guess this is someway to make us sign up for something that will cost us money. Please take that question thing off - everyone is annoyed by it!

I signed up using a different phone sometime ago now that I have changed phones the app locks me out and tells me I can only access the app on only 1 device. How do I reset my account so that I can move with the app each time I switch phones?

Love this app, saves me a lot of time and the hustle with dialing a ussd code. One of the features I also like is the ability to search for a number in your contacts, which is a really cool feature because I don't have to 1st write down a number 1st before sending money or buying airtime for it.

This app is just too slow to open. I think you have to update it to something faster otherwise its better to resort to the traditional *151#.

I wish there was a zero star rating...what the point of havin an app if am.to.put econet sim in primary slot.....wats the difference with ussd...useless all three apps are rubish

This app does not give me the option to change accounts. I wanted to use my other account but had no options

Why can't it run in 2 different fons, since its a data app, t shld allow me me to log out of previously logged in devices just like Facebook, gmail

What is this ensure sim card is enabled in the primary slot for ecocash app to work.

It doesn't work. It just hangs on the "Waiting for OTP ..." page. I receive the text message but it does not automatically accept it nor does it give a box for me to enter the OTP. Useless to me.

This is a super convenient way to do transaction without hustles and unnecessary restrictions. Love it!

Cannot purchase or view virtual master card... Crap

Try to come up with an ecosure application or one which encompasses all your services,anywhere your app is great!!

Well thought it was super awesome till my phone was stolen. Replaced my phone and now I can't login coz I am only allowed this app on "one" device!!

Was working fine but now not opening, really disappointed it was good

Nice app. Why not make it link or get numbers from the phone book. It's a handy feature that is on the non data based version.

sim card in primary slot??? what if im not with my sim card or out of netwrk zone but under wifi?

This App is wonderful it works even abroad using Data connection. But one needs to install and active it while in Zim.

Very convenient for lazy bones like me who hate going through the several USSD stages

This is the easiest way to transact through EcoCash but it doesn't confirm agent code before cashing out and why should i get my data charged for using this app, how about making it work even with a $0.00 balance in my phone?

Great app but just need to add a field that will show agent name when cashing out. Errors in entering agent code will result in inconviniencies

Why do u guys slack on updating your apps you take literally months to update them and also add WhatsApp bundles option on data app

Bundles section, now only has 2 options and the *143# platform is not working very well with Ecocash. Please fix it.
