TouchPal Keyboard for HTC

Worst keyboard I've ever used and embarrassed that it comes pre loaded on my htc10. A keyboard so bad that it almost cost me my job because of how easy it is to misspell words and autocorrect to complete irrelevance. Thank goodness I cought the email before it sent.

First of all lack of Georgian language for HTC10. Thanks for having 'Zulu' and such.

Totally rubbish keyboard. I have no idea why my HTC tried to force me to use it and won't let me uninstall. Prediction didn't work and didnt put a space after words when taping a word from selection at top. Also kept trying to add words as if I'd swiped when I hadn't. Wouldn't remember the spelling of my partner's name. Hopeless!

Very poor for my HTC 10. Google keyboard and swiftkey are a lot better.

Inaccurate Persian input... Please include "zh" and "α:" i can't type without them...

I like it, but I hate that I can't put my own picture as the keyboard theme, if that can be fix them it definitely be a 5 star

EDIT: Workaround to fix my issue below is to tap somewhere to type, drag down the top bar of Android screen and switch from TouchPal to Android voice and then back to TouchPal. I was then able to open the app and themes section with no errors. Will not open since Android 7.0 (HTC10) and it says "network disconnected" (when it's fine) and the power saving optimization disable didn't help it unlike other apps.

HTC used to have great keyboard until M9. I just can't understand why they struck a deal with TouchPal for 10. This app is just malware and trash. Why on earth would I want to have news provided by keyboard? Idiotic themes? Who's that for? And why is this pitty app installing dozens of languages I never ever used in my phone? What's that for? I hope this is the first and the last time HTC installed such a garbage.

PUT THE ARROW KEYS ON THE KEYBOARD. I do not want to go to a seperate menu to do something I should be able to do from the keyboard. More time needs to be spent on making a decent user friendly reliable keyboard and less time creating gimmicky themes. I have read the reviews as well as the responses, give folks what they are asking for and stop packing the app full of junk.

I've gotten multiple unwanted status bar notifications and there is no way to turn them off. I'm not buying your crappy keyboard skins. Stop spamming me. HTC needs to cut ties with this spamware.

HTC, really do need to consider if you're going to advertise almost stock and stick with stock apps including Google's board keyboard. Third-party crappy keyboards, I'm not going to help your rating for your devices. your app needs to support Google screen reader TalkBack. As a blind person, I have to forego my device setup due to lack of accessibility support.

It is embedded adware. How to disable it. Just first install google keyboard, or reinstall htc m8 and below keyboard (google HTC m8 keyboard apk) make sure to enable install from other source in settings. Then install keyboard. Then uninstall this app if your rooted like me else you'll need to disable the keyboard app.

Pathetic keypad experience. Where are the arrow keys? Previous HTC keypads had the option. As a mobile publisher, I'm constantly typing and this keypad doesn't make for a rewarding typing experience. ----------------------- 5th Jan: Your response is not satisfactory. Terrible keyboard. Predictive text can't string common sentences together. No Japanese language support at all, despite on forums promising it would be released soon. At least 3 years of empty promises. Sorry, see you later.

I want to customize the toolbar. When you switch keyboards to say bitmoji, you can't text words and they make it easy to switch back to TouchPal of course but then you can't switch back to bitmoji without going into settings. For this alone I am trying to figure out how to get rid of this app.

This is horrific, I actually had to add "it" to my dictionary so that it would stop auto correcting it to "if". Just bring back the old keyboards because I never had a problem with them, even after three different HTC phones spanning over 6 years, their auto corrects worked better than this

HTC has resolved the problem with the 30+ language packs and they have been removed. I still prefer the keypad on my HTC-8, but I can live with this one. I AM NOW EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH HTC AGAIN AND I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH MY HTC 10.

It pisses me off. I don't want the app but it is stuck on my phone, has changed my settings and when I disable TouchPal my phone won't let me text, I can only tell google what to write.

I like the ability to customize the keyboard. There are so many options! I miss the arrows that used to be included in HTC keyboards, but I can manage. Biggest complaint is the number of errors I now make when swiping words on this keyboard compared to HTC's old keyboard and Google's keyboard.

I like this keyboard so much. It's awesome! Cannot download any new themes since 1Jan17. Tried to force stop nothing works. Just keeps trying to download, no success! Sent feedback.

Please give us back our htc keyboard. I don't want emoji's or predictive rubbish at my age. Nothing wrong with just having basic functioning software, as an option.

I love the app just hate the annoying ads. I've never hated ads so much. They overdo it with the ads. Then the floating bubble just kills it. I have been using this keyboard for years and it's been my favorite. Please make a paid version to get rid of the ads. For now I'm uninstalling.

I want my beautiful HTC M9 keyboard back! All of my punctuation is thrown off and the keyboard is very ugly. And unneeded ugly icons everywhere.... Almost makes me regret upgrading my phone...

Utterly horrible. Can't delete as it came with phone HTC 10 and its blocking use of my favourite keyboard. I am forced to use this trash. We F angry!

Well keybaord is fine, except for emoji selection. Idk why but clicking on emoji feels like takes some time like a lil lag, on HTC10 lag is something you don't know but this keyboard makes you feel that. I used Gboard and everything was smooth as silk. Please resolve the lag issue, other than that it's pretty much okay

A bit baffled at the lack of love for this keyboard. It's ad free, prediction and swiping are accurate etc. It's highly customisable. What's not to like? I've compared it against other, highly regarded keyboards and it stacks up well.

What are you thinking HTC putting this crapware as the default keyboard on the 10? I'm guessing money. I get times are hard but this will lose you loyal followers.

There are some cool things about this keyboard, but..... It's mostly annoying. I'm not sure why HTC didn't just stick with the keyboard they used on their previous phones. I liked the HTC keyboard a lot better! This keyboard is a bit glitchy and there just isn't a whole lot I like about it.

Up to two week's ago I loved this keyboard but it has steadily gotten worse during that time. Started out where it would freeze for about a minute than it was good but last night I could only type one letter before freezing. The reason for 3 stars is because of how it used to work. Please fix!

There was nothing wrong with the sense keyboard used in M8, this is just so tacky. The themes are horrible and unnecessary, and it doesn't allow you to customise it in conjunction with HTC themes so the keyboard just sticks out. Really wish there was a way to uninstall this as I'm getting fed up with it. And I hate having the buttons above the keyboard like the little t shirt thing. So irritating.

I have no issues with this keyboard. For some reason my phone keeps telling me I have a "dangerous app" that will track my location. When I tap okay it then uninstalls my keyboard and I'm stuck using voice text. Very frustrating.
