Why use eWicca ?
There's a great variety of sources about performing various magick rituals: from Egyptian papyri to witchcraft spell books (or books of shadows) . However in most cases such sources either:
- state ambiguous instructions like "absorb energy from the Universe", which is at least unfair because, for example, "absorbing energy" requires explicit instructions to perform;
- list fantastic ingredients, like "mandragora", therefore taking out responsibility for effectiveness of magick ritual, and what is even more disappointing, leaving no ways for novice witch for self-development;
- require manipulation with unconscious mind, including taking drugs or practicing self-hypnosis, so occasional results or hallucinations may attributed to outcomes of magick ritual or witchcraft spell;
- or simply forget to include instructions on how to prepare for wiccan rituals, stimulating widespread belief that magick spells are charlatanry, because they failed. Forgetting to consider than wiccan ritual requires preparation, like any professional activity.
Thus, most of witchcraft rituals fail because of:
- wrong intentions: no reason and effect analysis and goal visualization;
- wrong preparation: poor physical conditions and weak mental state;

As with all versions and tellings of folklore there are always differences in which the way a story is told. The same goes for beliefs and ritual. One witch may carry out a different cast compared to how another witch carries thier cast of words but yet both may still aim for the same result. Its all about belief and how that can structure into your own life. Same as coven rituals and initiations vary from one another.

It has a lot of flaws that say u HAVE to do this or it won't work. That's is not true. You can wear anything in any ritual rite and magical spell. I'm not much into this app because of that. But other than that it's quite educational.

It's very descriptive and knowledgeable and is useful for a wiccan or another celtic pagan. As a wiccan it's hard to find true facts and knowledge that you can trust, especially since it's such an old religion and when so many things are tampered or unreliable.

I flicked through it thinking there was a chapter/heading on becoming Wiccan but nope. I was disappointed to say the least, I have dreamed about Wicca for a few years I've read books but this app got recommended to me by a friend because of my interest in Wicca. Nothing there was useful to me in any way, not even a sentence saying 'Not for those looking to start out' how had can it be? Also spelling mistakes.

Read the reviews and noticed a common theme- add a zoom feature. Downloaded anyway, due to positive reviews. Sure enough, the text is too small to read. Maybe on a tablet, but definitely not on my phone. Hopefully this feature will be added. I would also suggest adding table of contents to help filter to information relevant to what you're looking for.

I found a various about of mistakes, like they were writing fast and didn't read through, how are you going to talk about wicca if you can't even spell magic (they spelt it "magick"). And I thought I was going to have something like a note pad to take notes, it says assistant, not just a bunch of reading.

This book is good for beginners ,as you start your path ,this helps you to discover your own how you do you spells ,how to begin your rituals o er time there is other books you must read ..but do not forget true majick is from within ,and there is a Wiccan's rede ,for whence you must have ,keep your daily journals ,practice ,celebrate our sabbats matter of fact ,HAPPY LITHRA to all true wiccans ,celebrate and always remember ..true majik,true wiccan cause no harm to others !!! As a real wiccan of the old religion, this book is excellent for any wiccan or curious person to read. It stresses the most important part of wicca, which is resonance with your surroundings and belief in what you are doing. That is the deciding factor in magic. Will it work? Or will it not work? The answer is up to you. And both answers are correct. Blessed be my friends!!

Okay, so out of curriosity, I downloaded this app, and started cross referencing things that was said in it... look, all my Wiccan and pagan books, and frankly, most of what was said here, was wrong. There were a few correct things, but it was only like 3 things. Look, if you are wanting aide in being a starter pagan or wiccan, don't rely in apps like this, use a real book, they are far more reliable.

When your a wiccan nothing is written in stone because wiccans can hold almost any belief of there own. This is good for beginners and I can make sense of how you use the information. I just wish people would stop being close minded when being a wiccan almost requires an open mind in every way. Their will never be one type of wiccan.

Yes, there are some mistakes and grammatical snafus. However, overall, this isn't that bad of an app. While I would warn my craft students of the mistakes (or errors), I would recommend they at least peruse this app for some of the basics of ritual. The books listed as recommended reading are sound as I have read most of them myself over the last several years. I would suggest further research and a future update with corrections included. At least someone is making an effort though. Keep it up.

I'm giving this 5 stars because of time & effort involved in making this wonderful app and because it is full of readable & easy to understand information. True majick only works when it is "personal" and following a specific set of another's idea limits your energy commanding abilities. This app is useful as an idea on what to do but in the end, it is YOUR spell so use this app as an aid.

Ok I read 34% of it (page numbers would have been better) I am not a Wiccan but I am a Pagan. In the 1/3 of it that I read yes there are some typos (but who really gives a rats poop maker) over all I do like the information that has been set out for you. Remember people who say that they should have done more research. Wicca is a NEW RELIGION (not looking up the year but it was founded around 1940 and around that time is the same as the LDS, JW and SDA) I was going to uninstall the app right after a install and a review. But I will be keeping it tell I read the whole thing a few times. And before uninstalling I will be sending a E-mail to them with a few suggestions. For improvement. But for all the other people out there Remember Wican is jest one of many religions under the Pagan umbrella. Like Christianity before the year 316 there is no hard set way to go about your practices. (And yes it was stated that this was a work derived from the attempt to standardize of it.) The one thing I should add Gardner's development of it was with the full balance of genders and most only use the women form (Goddess and skip the God part) will up date later

I like the app. It would be great if I could zoom in to read it better. Contrary to what some people have posted about this app, Magick is spelled correctly, real Witches know the difference between Magick and magic.
