Remote for Apple TV - CiderTV

Everything went great, until it says use your AppleTV remote to turn it on and pair the devices..if i knew where my remote was i would just use it and not spend my time and data downloading an app. Tried to go to support and the link just took me to a blank page. Thanks for tryin...i guess.

One cannot use this as a 'replacement remote' for apple tv unless one has the original Apple TV remote top connect this asp.... ... um yeah.... I'm no rocket scientist but doesn't the 'original remote' requirement completely negate the entire point of utilizing this remote? I mean isn't that why we're ALL downloading it to begin with.......to replace another dysfunctional or missing Apple TV remote.... no?

When it works it's perfect for my apple tv. Problem is, it only connects about 20% of the time. Otherwise I just get the same error over and over no matter how many times I restart the application or my devices.

Finally got it to connect to my Apple TV via iTunes, but then it just sits there and loads.. It will not load the remote control, so I can't get the Apple TV to work without iTunes.. Laaame. I was willing to buy the full version if this worked.

So, I lost my Apple TV controller and then I was looking for an app to control my Apple TV, and I found this app and it works sooooo...... much!! Download it guys now it may look like it doesn't work, but it actually does DOWNLOAD IT RIGHT NOW!! ????????????????????????????????

Very Frustrating! Have to hit a very exact micro center for selecting. If u don't hit just right, u will go up, down, right, or left. Am so glad I found my Apple remote. Just in time for receiving a Firestick for Christmas!

The remote works reliably but the interface is not the best. If I was able to control the sensitivity of the swipes and the taps and double taps it would be much better. As it is, my double taps get mixed with swipe + select and it makes navigating very frustrating.

It would be super awesome if this app actually had all the functions that an Apple TV remote has, instead of just most of them. You cannot close apps once you open them because you can't double click the home button, also it's impossible to play games because the touch screen doesn't really work you have to slide your finger all the way to the side and then it responds and doesn't move in real time.

Never was able to get this app to pair to my Apple TV 4th gen. Two others downloaded the app and weren't able to either. The iPhone user was able to get their remote app to pair no problem. Support didn't answer my email either.

Didn't work with my 2nd Gen ATV. App says to go to settings - - >remotes and look for cider tv. Doesn't show up. Connected to the iPhone address manually, but no go. Oh well. Off to try another app.

Worked for a while but now it doesn't. Cannot get it to work on other phone either. Too bad. Good while it lasted.

I've paid my subscription, it didn't work. I bought an extra slot, that didn't work. The, app is stuck in "processing my payment". So it took my money and jammed itself. Worked well until I tried to show support and purchase it.

I have tried many times to ad second control and it won't let me. You can't rewind or fast forward all the time.

This app works great! Well done! It can be a bit laggy and not responsive, but it works! I always lose my Apple remote, but I don't always lose my phone, so this is great!

This App is remarkably convenient IF you have a Samsung Galaxy or any other type of phone/tablet with an infrared sensor. Apple's entire business model is based on their products to only be compatible with each other, but this App works well if you happen to have a device with the built in infrared transmitter.

Requires you to enter a passcode from the Apple device. Which you have to get to via Apple remote. Which makes no sense because why would I be using this app if I still had my Apple remote? Other apps don't require me to put in a passcode... EDIT- Dev Null's Apple Remote was the one I used to use that didn't ask me for a passcode. It isn't compatible with my new phone.

You need a remote to set it up. I don't have one that's why I'm using this app. Well thought out... not.

Doesn't work without an Apple tv remote. What's the point? If I had an Apple tv remote, I wouldn't have sought out an alternative in the first place.

This used to work, but now it's useless. Once installed, NONE of the buttons work. They all just act as "enter". Completely broken app. Do NOT bother with it.

Best available Apple TV remote app on Android. Only issue is it's hard to figure out how to go back - you have to double tap.

The app does what it says, I just don't like how the navigation works, it should allow you to customize how you want the remote to work, instead of swiping and tapping and tapping and holding to go between screens, you should simply be able to tap on a button to simulate a press of a button on a standard remote.

This app is terrible, why all the fuss with pressing one button 50 different ways. Just seriously dumb just make it work like the actual remote

In order to use this app for the first time u need ur apple TV remote. I downloaded this app cause I lost my remote. Ugh going back to the other remote app.

I tried to add a tv and it just kept loading and then stopping and it never worked in the end. It was really frustrating do NOT get this app

Waste of time to download. Does not work as advertised. Article at XDA must have been posted by dev as it is just false advertising

Don't switch phones! Once you do, anything you paid for goes away - still haven't heard from developer about fixing the issue

Every button, whatever i press, is sent to my Apple TV as "enter". I try to go sideways, back, up, whatever. Always just clicks whatever button/title i am on. No functionality. Crap.

The menu button dosent work and the buttons arent easy to press

This has been my favorite apple TV remote for android but I just wish the play/pause button and slide would work. Such a pain without it and the only reason I keep thinking about using a different app.

Buttons are poorly done. Apple TV doesn't respond at time and when it does, it's very delayed. No "back" option to exit screens and menus

The app worked for 2 days then for some unknown reason could not find the apple tv. Bought the pro app hoping it would work. It didnt. The lite app and pro app support screen is completely blank. Don't waste your time or money on this hoax. Its a rip off X

Upset since my IPad broke and I liked using the remote. This app is awesome. Once I figured out how to work it it's been great. Hint: read directions. Took me forever to figure out how to go back.

It doesnt work at all. And it will give you a hard time to uninstall it. Unistall it in google play coz it wont let you uninstall in your system.

This app is more stable in response. My iOS app tends to miss signals & words when typed. This app's multiple text sending is ingenious!

This app is really good in working as a touch apple remote, the only problem is that in most cases the app will hang and you have to restart the app to get it to work. I hope they fix it soon.

Really happy with this app. Easy to use and being wifi based doesn't need to be pointed at the Apple TV to work. No problems with setting up, took a few seconds.

They'll make sure you know everything. You can do a lot of stuff, easier and faster than the Apple TV remote.

Need remote to setup. Derrr whole point is if you don't have remote. Genius apple. Fail as usual.

Am I reading them correctly? Take Apple remote & go to settings to enter code? If I had the Apple remote, why would I have downloaded this one?
