Since upgrading to latest version, using android 7 and emui 5 I regularly get "logged out" and cannot log in again. Restarting app fixes issue, but this occurs every morning. I may be related to Huawei's battery saving policy, but I've done what I can to keep it protected from that. The app is not very fast either. I'm looking at other options, prime candidate is Gmail app which I use for my Gmail account.

by L####:

Fastmail is great. The mobile website used in this app also works well, and I like the integrated notifications and the functionality they provide. Unfortunately, the app has gotten too slow on my aging phone - it sometimes takes upwards of 45 seconds just to open my inbox. The app also takes up a lot of memory (65 MB) for what it is.

Z70%
by Z####:

Please add a simple checkbox to show device notifications for emails filed in to folders as well! Frustrating to have to keep manually checking. Great app otherwise. EDIT: As of the latest version it is impossible to login. Most of the time it will not accept your correct credentials. The app is now unusable, please fix this.

L70%
by L####:

Unlike some other reviewers I'm not bothered about offline access to my mailbox, so this app does the trick. My biggest gripe is the lack of notifications for subfolders, i.e. non inbox measages. 95℅ of my mail is organised in folders so I constantly have to open the app to see if new messages have been received. Please fix this!

Z70%
by Z####:

Why does it keep saying this for no reason and fail to actually connect? Have to restart the app every time it does this. Also still get random editing errors where the cursor jumps around and prints gobbledegook. Useless offline, just a front end for the website. When are you going to give paying customers a decent app that does what they need it to efficiently?

G70%
by G####:

Functionality overall appears to be the same as what you get with the Mobile Web interface (as accessed by any mobile web browser). Minor issue where For some reason, logged me out and then wouldn't accept my credentials (worked via the browser but not via the app). Had to completely reset app / clear data to get back in.

Z70%
by Z####:

Recently bought a new phone and with it, I keep on having to log in. It's very frustrating. On my old phone, I would have given the app 5 stars. Now, I find myself using other email clients to access Fastmail!

Z70%
by Z####:

I have to go to the app and compose a new message everytime i want to send something. Every other mail client supports the share protocol.. This one is stuck in the stone age.

Z70%
by Z####:

I love fastmail but this app is horrendous. I routinely can't login for no apparent reason. Then five minutes later, suddenly I can. No rhyme or reason behind it. Very unreliable. For first time in five years considering switching...

B70%
by B####:

It has logged me out frequently and then try to log back in would not accept my logging details. Had to uninstal and instal back again on several different occasions. I am so fed up with it that once my subscription is finished I will not renew it. Apps are supposed to make accessing data easier and quicker, not this one

L70%
by L####:

I have had a problem with the latest update, wouldn't let me login. It was still checking email in the background. A quick uninstall then reinstall and its working fine!

Z70%
by Z####:

Every time i run it, I just get a black screen. Uninstal then re-install doesn't fix the issue. Since I can't use it anymore, I can't give it a better rating.

Z70%
by Z####:

This app used to work efficiently but since the last update the login function doesn't work anymore. Neither does uninstalling and reinstalling the app fix the issue. I've abandoned using this as a result. Fastmail need to fix this bug ASAP.

Z70%
by Z####:

I hope the plan is to throw this app away and rewrite it natively. It's often slow and needs to pull down all my emails every time I open it. I'm having a better experience using Aquamail / K9 mail via imap.

P70%
by P####:

Looks good and pretty responsive, but it needs better support for native functions and offline usage. I like to send emails from the London Underground but can't using this email client because there is no outbox

Z70%
by Z####:

Difficult to access email management options such as delete the current message. Does not work well without an internet connection. Will probably uninstall this disappointment of an app soon that fails to make common functionality accessible.

Z70%
by Z####:

I like the consistency with the web interface and that it uses Google's own cloud messaging for better battery life with push notifications. But when a new notification comes in it overwrites the old one instead of stacking, which is a shame. App does not appear to be in active development.

Z70%
by Z####:

Email needs to be utterly re-thought, so much spam these days it should ALL go to spam folder and an aggregated list of addresses should be provided that the user ticks as safe, something like that, anything. Prior review: App was OK enough, then poor, can't download any emailed photos etc. Shame really (given cost of service.

Z70%
by Z####:

Superb mail, calendar, contacts and notes app. Lightening fast and it manages all my accounts perfectly via imap/pop. Worth the small fee for premium. Can't recommend enough!

Z70%
by Z####:

I am afraid that the app is nowhere as good as the browser interface. Emails are not synced to the app, and as result there is no offline access to emails (this can be hugely annoying when you need a critical piece of information in a place with poor reception or abroad). Moreover, the app has just failed to save a draft properly, which cost me 30 minutes of work. Sorry, this app has to go.

Z70%
by Z####:

The app has solid functionality, but it has some serious quirks. It's often unusable due to 'connecting to server' issues, and the calendar portion is missing the ability to click on a time of day and create an event for that time (need to add the time manually).

Z70%
by Z####:

Used to work fine, now after logging in it just black screens. Reinstalled, same problem. Very frustrating!

Z70%
by Z####:

Works well most of the time but sometimes disconnects and doesn't reconnect quickly - have to restart the app. Also would be nice if it supported tablets properly

Z70%
by Z####:

Edit 2: No updates since july and not a word from the developers. How come? This is a review of the app, which unfortunately does an otherwise good service great injustice. You can of course choose to use an IMAP/POP3 client but I feel that defeats the purpose. I've decided to look for a new mail host for my domains. The app uses the Crosswalk app platform (read HTML wrapper) but not to its full potential. Slow, not very intuitive nor streamlined use, lacking intents such as sharing a file to the app. It is powerful though, as the web interface, for example including both simple and advanced editing of rules (SIEVE).

Z70%
by Z####:

This used to be a great app, but after the last update, it 'hangs' when typing emails. A reinstall doesn't fix it, and, as I send multiple emails from my galaxy S6 every day, it's painful. I type, and the app catches up with me after a few (up to ten) seconds. Some words are garbled, some are types in multiples of each other. Very painful. That being said, I've been a fast mail customer for 10+ years (I believe since 1997). Amazing service, no problems ever, fast, reliable.

R70%
by R####:

**After a day of outstanding customer service by technical support this was fixed.* Can log into my account on laptop but not on my phone. Fastmail rejects my credentials here every time. Samsung S5, I marshmallow. Shame, because it used to be good.

N70%
by N####:

It won't let me log on. Been working for months and now just won't let me in. Username and password are good as I can log on using browser but app won't let me.

W70%
by W####:

I am often logged out and told that correct credentials are wrong when I attempt to log back in. The app is very slow on a mid range phone. Everytime you open the app you must look at a loading screen for a second or more. I recommend using a third party app.

Z70%
by Z####:

App is a bit slow but functionality is OK. It fails to cache the password for very long though which is very annoying if you use long passwords.

T70%
by T####:

I have officially switched to FastMail and have been very pleased with my experience thus far. 2 things I think the Gmail app does better: accessing message options (delete, report spam, etc.) while the message is open and accessing the inbox from a notification. The former is actually pretty frustrating, because you need to find a place in the message to tap that isn't a link. It doesn't always work either. For the latter, I would prefer to go to the inbox if I have >1 unread message, so more of a nitpick.

S70%
by S####:

Works nicely, but some convenience features are missing. Notifications for folders other than the inbox would be great, and sync (e.g. keep messages of last 14 days offline) would be cool, too. Oh and contact sync with Android contacts would be great. But it's a nice email client and calendar without these, too.

S70%
by S####:

Use to be slow to load and would hang occasionally; now I get "Fastmail has stopped" before other even opens. Have installed & reinstalled, no go. Useless.

C70%
by C####:

please...... Is it possible to get the device notifications for arrived emails when we use disposable address's, and this disposable is with the filter automatically transferred into his label (not inbox)?

T70%
by T####:

Contact sync through this app would be great. Having to use a third party one is a bit clunky.

L70%
by L####:

Sick of getting thrown out of my account every week. Please fix.

Z70%
by Z####:

It is a little sluggish. No client caching. No native controls or integration. Too bad, I hope they plan to make a real one.

Z70%
by Z####:

I have been using the app for a few months and so far it has been working for me. At times it takes a while to retrieve mail or reconnect to the server. It would be helpful to access multiple accounts. I am able to switch users from the browser version why not from the mobile app? The page Fast mail has on the app states it will be a future update but there is no timeline as to how long until it is implemented.

A70%
by A####:

Every once in a while the app won't let me login unless I reinstall it which is quite annoying. Nice clean app otherwise

Z70%
by Z####:

I'm on Xperia Z3. After update it asked for the password. It was not accepted. I asked for a new password and then it works only once. Next login it asks again for password which is again not accepted. so I have to do the same again. I now had to use another general client to access my account on android!

Z70%
by Z####:

I was logged in yesterday. And now I can't login. I already had a problem with the fact that it constantly requires you to login again.
