What are users saying about Melbourne Film Festival 2017

A very clunky and non user friendly interface. Feels like a very dated app. Movie tickets purchased are tucked away in the account settings area, not thought out well.

R70%
by R####:

It's a bit clunky and not always intuitive eg search located top right in grey (hard to read, additional step) but it does the job.

I70%
by I####:

Clunky, yes, but it all seems to work.

R70%
by R####:

Clunky to search for films: 1) old searches have to have settings cleared manually; 2)cant quickly go to my tickets from main menu. Have seen Apple phones have a menu at the bottom of screen to help with this. That's not visible on my Samsung phone so assume not available with Samsung app.

R70%
by R####:

Usability is poor and frustrating. I signed into my account in the app which somehow made the wishlist that I'd created on my account in the Web browser disappear. It would be good if, when going back to the A-Z list after clicking on a film, it took you back to the same place in the list rather than having to scroll through all the films again. I booked a film for my boyfriend on his pass but now it's showing up in my schedule. I would like to be able to only see the films I'm going to (i.e. the ones booked on the pass that is linked to my account).

R70%
by R####:

Really not intuitive and missing obvious search options. Selling fast list feature is misaligned so you click on a film and the description for something else comes up.

R70%
by R####:

It's missing a favourite button so you can keep track of what you're interested in, before buying. It's a feature that makes it so much easier to plan your festival. :(

B70%
by B####:

Searching the whole list is easier this year, but contrary to the description, you cannot browse by director. This feature will probably be added later.

T70%
by T####:

Couldnt believe that it wasnt possible to click on a letter of the alphabet to be taken to films beginning with that letter. Instead you have to scroll like mad through the enormous list of films!

It makes it quite handy to find, book and have your tickets in onw app. However the UI is terrible, needs a bit of UX love, and freezes on me quite a bit. It's better than last year's version but still work.

K70%
by K####:

Briefly had an issue with the dimming being stuck really dim and unreadable in the day, and some of the navigation was awkward, but mostly a very good app.

O70%
by O####:

But does the job well enough. Especially like the ticket wallet.

K70%
by K####:

Fast forwards to a date 12 days away - very frustrating! Not nearly as good as two years ago because of this.

K70%
by K####:

Does everything u need to get u to your session

B70%
by B####:

Its clunky with plenty of bugs. Even missed a film because of it.

K70%
by K####:

Ticket browser is fantastic, movie search to. The UI and don't is a little outdated but all in all super handy

D70%
by D####:

Enjoying the use of the app - easy to use, all the info we need, great to be able to browse and be kept up to date.

A70%
by A####:

great app. One issue, saving to calender is terrific, but wiill not share if you share your calendar.

O70%
by O####:

Can access tickets pretty easily, all movies and locations listed.

F70%
by F####:

More stable than previous years, a lot of improvements. Room for a few more

T70%
by T####:

The in app tickets are great, everything else could be improved. Does the job.

K70%
by K####:

Nothing to complain, pretty handy for tickets as well.

Confirm Booking button looks like it's permanently greyed out. Please fix this devs!!

K70%
by K####:

Many bugs. Sometimes the Selling Fast/Stand by just doesn't load or is very slow to respond. Then when list finally load, when you select a movie to see more details, it opens the description for another movie. Feelsvery clumsy & amateurish. Hard to go from one section to another. List of directors is by alphabetical order but with their first name (seriously, wtf!). The search section is just so badly designed (it took me 5 min to find the search button greyed out in the top right corner (once again wtf!).

Y70%
by Y####:

Should have just used a responsive website

K70%
by K####:

Simply excellent.

K70%
by K####:

Easy to buy tickets, hard to find films. Have to use the Browse features because the Search feature is awful.

K70%
by K####:

Not user friendly at all. Needs a complete overhaul.

K70%
by K####:

One of the best booking apps around. Would get 5 stars if it was available on more devices.

feels easier & quicker to use.

C70%

Program comes out but this isn't updated on time??

C70%
by C####:

I agree the app would be better if I could read the description of the film once it has loaded into my tickets. Exchanging tickets is much more user friendly than previous years. First year I've used e tickets without scanning dramas. Look forward to an ever better android version in 2015!

C70%
by C####:

fantastic app! The only improvement would be if you could have a "my membership" section, so if you forget your MIFF membership card you can show an electronic copy!

C70%
by C####:

Super easy to use, fabulously convenient to have.

C70%
by C####:

I had an issue with the app on the middle weekend - my films' barcodes wouldn't show (just as well I had hardcopy tickets) - it was fixed by uninstalling then reinstalling

H70%
by H####:

Just a brilliant little thing to festival going easy. Hope more festival follow suit
