About Camera FV-5

Camera FV-5 is a professional camera application for mobile devices, that puts DSLR-like manual controls in your fingertips. Tailored to enthusiast and professional photographers, with this camera application you can capture the best raw photographs so that you can post-process them later and get stunning results. The only limit is your imagination and creativity!

Major features:

● All photographic parameters are adjustable and always at hand: exposure compensation, ISO, light metering mode, focus mode, white balance and program mode.
● DSLR-like viewfinder display: see exposure time, aperture and stops display with EV and bracketing settings, in real-time!
● Full fledged exposure bracketing: from 3 to 7 frames, unlimited stops spacing, plus custom EV shifting.
● Built-in intervalometer: make stunning timelapses (even bracketed/HDR timelapses) and time-controlled picture series.
● Program and Speed-priority modes.
● Long exposure support: take beautiful night photos and light trails with long exposure times up to 30 seconds**.
● JPEG, true 16-bit RAW in DNG format*, and lossless PNG photo capturing formats, perfect for post-processing.
● Manual shutter speed: from 1/80000 to 2", or the range available on your device*.
● All camera functions assignable to volume keys. You can adjust EV, ISO, color temperature and more using volume keys. Devices with hardware camera shutter key are also supported.
● EXIF and XMP sidecar metadata support.
● Autofocus, macro, touch-to-focus, true manual focus* and infinity focus modes. Autofocus lock feature (AF-L).
● Autoexposure (AE-L) and auto white balance (AWB-L) locks in Android 4.0+.
● In background photo and RAW developing and processing allows a smooth, uninterrupted camera operation.
● Digital zoom using multitouch pinch gesture. Also shows 35mm equivalent focal length!
● The most advanced electronic viewfinder: live RGB histogram, 10 composition grid overlays and 9 crop guides available.
● Powerful organization options: different storage locations and fully customizable file names (even with variables).

This camera application completely avoids scene modes, instead you get full manual control over all photographic parameters, just like you do with a reflex camera, so you can ultimately control every aspect of the picture, and leave the post-processing to the computer. So after your DSLR, you will never miss a photo opportunity again, being able to capture it with the closer sensation to your DSLR as possible.

IMPORTANT: If you find a bug using the application, PLEASE, visit the web page http://www.camerafv5.com/ or write to support@camerafv5.com with your phone model name and the description of the problem, before writing a negative comment. ** Requires Android 5.0+. Compatible as well on the Samsung Galaxy Camera (1 and 2), Galaxy S4 Zoom and HTC One (M8). Permissions explained:

- Approximate location and precise location: only used for geotagging functionality (disabled by default, and requires manual GPS activation).
- Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage and take pictures and videos: required for the usual camera operation.

It's the best camera app I've found and I've tried more than 6 of the top rated camera apps. Camera FV-5 has the most professional settings and is very easy to use. The best, great job Flavio!

Great app with some issues. Have been using it for a few months and I have to say the features are amazing. You can control almost all aspects of a DSLR. Only issue is that it has been crashing frequently for past couple of months and when reset, date is set to January 1970. Emailed support... No response yet. If resolved, my rating will definitely change to 5 stars.

1. It's getting slow the more I use it, especially if I try to review the images from within the app. Currently it's better to unload the camera and then use another photo viewer 2. Shutter sound can't be turned off 3. If I try to make the photo with the front camera from google hangouts, image don't get loaded into the chat. Rear camera is OK 4. Press AE lock, apply some exposure compensation (i.e. minus 2 ), make a photo. After that exposure changes like it's ignoring exposure compensation (becomes brighter). Doesn't happen with no AE lock 5. Shooting is way slower then stock camera

It's nice to have manual controls on the MotoG5plus. However I noticed that when I slide up to landscape or infinity the focus is blur for far off objects and nearby objects are in focus. Shouldn't it be the opposite? this is after this update. In addition while using manual focus there seems to be a moment lag wherein the screen becomes blur. I hope it will be rectified.

App crashing on OnePlus 5. It opens but as soon as I try to change any options like manual focus, ISO, shutter speed etc, the app crashes. I've sent 2 mails to the developer about it but no reply hence I'm posting here on the play store.

Installed the paid version and it does not work. I can only do one picture and then have to exit app to take another. I his is really bad. I heard other one plus phone users says it's really good but not for me unless this is fixed. I will submit for full refund if I don't hear from developer on how to fix this issue

Could've been better! The viewfinder is straightforward, manual controls are at best, if not lacking. My complains are: - Why does it take so long so capture and save? After pressing the shutter button, it takes a few seconds before the photo captures and saves - Switching to the front camera is so slow… the app relaunches when switching to the front camera - The built-in gallery app of this app, is sooooo slow, especially in pinch to zoom actions. - The viewfinder is a bit laggy, compared to my phone's first-party camera app Overall, the photos it shoots, are of great quality, ITS JUST SO SLOW!!! Fix it! Cause we paid for this.

Purchased to do bracketed photos on S8 with raw files. App is slow & glitchey. Tech support is terrible. They never get back to you. I had to resolve the freezing issue on my own, which I finally did. But, at least now is working. Still, I would switch to a better app if available in a heartbeat.

???? what happened to this app?! It was working awesome when I first got my Oneplus 3t about a year ago. Now the camera is taking very terrible quality images when taking raw photos. Forced to use something else in the mean time ????.

D70%

It does not slow shutter speed for rear camera but it sure does it for front camera. How's it so? I've been using Moto X4 right now. It used to work great previously on Moto G4 Plus. Fix it please.

D70%
by D####:

Dear Developers/s I am using the pro version on my moto g5 plus mobile but the performance is not smooth as an application. Also, the application UI is complicated and disappoints. I would request you to kindly implement dials like features to adjust WB,ISO, Focus etc which is more simplistic and practical. I would appreciate if various formats of image can be implemented, as well.

I actually started using this camera more often than others installed on my phone and which I have liked for a long time. FV-5 takes the cake with manual exposure control for me. The option to save photos in raw format is a great selling point. I haven't been disappointed with this app. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gives great control to take pictures the way you want. Biggest draw back app force closes in no time and Everytime. Quite annoying ????

Y70%
by Y####:

Honestly, its an Ok app (i use this for a class).. I just wish i could make the shutter speed go faster than one second! It is really very annoying that every time we are working on ANYTHING basically, i have to borrow my friend's camera because this app won't do what is necessary.

waiting for this to be a five star experience. S8+. Although more infrequent, this app still crashes too much. also when tasking back to app, sometimes it hangs forcing a restart. both not cool when trying to capture a moment.

Dear Support, I am unable to manually set ISO to higher than 800 on a Samsung Note 8. Is this as designed?

Q70%

A bit unpolished. You can't disable camera shutter sound and the hold to set exposure gets locked even after you reset it to frame average.

Today I was in a zoo lion safari trying to capture lions coming near the vehicle. The app froze and the phone suddenly started to heat. I was more afraid of the phone burning up rather than the lion coming near the vehicle. So I didn't want to miss the moment so I borrowed my wife's mobile and took the picture. Then after some time an error message popped up "FV 5 had stopped responding". This is not the first time this happens. Was impressed by this app in the beginning but not now. Please fix the lagging.

Bought this some time ago and it was OK, but it's become unreliable. If I try and use the flash it crashes my phone completely and I have to take the battery out to get things going again. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall, but it's telling me is already installed when it isn't. Hopeless.

D70%
by D####:

Huge bug in s8. Screen dims completely when taking time lapsed photos so you can't SEE. It also takes hours to render photos in time lapse and drops like crazy. It's a great idea but it very unreliable please fix this or I want a refund

by D####:

I love this app.. n so I have bought this app... But 2 things that stopped me from giving you 5 stars is, 1st on resolution on long exposure should be more on a paid app n the other one is, I am a Moto x play user n if I lock my phone on this app it is a big task to unlock my phone as it keep switching my lock screen to landscape & portrait mode repeatedly disallowing me to enter my unlock code... I'll be back with 5 even if you solve either of the problems... Processing has gone dead slow... Sometimes when you click back to back I'd observe there were a few shots that app showed captured but didn't really get captured.. :(

D70%

App saves photos as being taken in January 1970. Would be 5 stars but for that. It renders photo management useless. And emails to support are pretty much ignored.

Images are unsharp compared to what my phone can accomplish. I don't understand what is so special about this app. At first I thought it was my phone but I did a side by side comparison and the FV image is abysmal.

V70%

It's a great app but jpg saves with a date in 1970. Kind of a deal breaker. I emailed support but I never got a response. Very disappointing, might have to switch to a new app if they can't help.

D70%
by D####:

I moved from Sony note 5 to pixel 2 .finding warped white balances I decided to buy this app I still can't find aperture control and custom white balance. If the app brags about Bing a DSLR mimic then it should have the ability to control white balance in custom values and the aperture like my note 5 used to in pro mode. Once I discover these two features I am might increase the rating from three stars to five stars not having these two controls in custom mode is a show stopper for me I hope to see these two implemented in future upgrades

D70%

Good to be able to select slow shutter for night pics. Annoyingly EV is locked out unless ISO set to auto. It also struggles to focus and seems to just have a spinning circle at times.

D70%
by D####:

I'm not able to click long exposure photos. The shutter speed doesn't seem to be having any effect on the shots. I was able to click low res long exposure in lite version, but the oaid version just doesn't support it.

This is my favorite camera app, however for my phone at least it was a bit buggy. I got real weird behavior when launching from the lock screen and though once launched, the app desirably remains available above the lock screen when toggling the phone on and off. However at times it would freeze when doing that.... so this may be related to the first mentioned problem. I use an atypical phone brand so those things may apply just to my phone. The pictures were the most consistently sharp of all the apps I tested, and I LOVE that it shows the shutter speed/ISO of the last taken photo. This is very useful in determining whether you might want to change the ISO. I like that it retains the ISO when you close/re-open the app. I like the layout of the screen, though the left band of icons (which you can swipe out of the way), I instead found I often didn't and therefore my framing was off.... though I'm sure I could train myself to not do that. This phone has a kazillion settings, so it gets really high marks for that. As I said this was the best app I found, except for my phone-specific bugginess.

Excellent controls but if you leave the app open to multitask, it freezes my Nexus 6. Better than the default camera though. Update: still works herky jerky, and freezes. Getting other camera apps.

Works great on Sony Xperia Z3. My only problem is with the viewfinder orientation, which only provides Landscape and auto-rotation (Landscape or Reverse Landscape). I used to take photos in Portrait. Shutter button and the rest keeps rotating. Not only once or twice I got it on the top side of my screen. It's kinda frustrating and inconvenient. I would really appreciate if Camera FV-5 has a feature of Portrait mode. Please make it happen. Thank you.

I like this app and it takes pretty good pictures compared to all the other apps I've tried, but I cannot get my pictures to be right side up. I have tried several combinations of settings, but they are all rotated left 90 degrees and it's so freaking annoying because I have to rotate them all manually

Don't have option to manual focus. I had camera2 api but still not support Raw image. Why does it reduce to 2MP in long shutter speed for light trailer photo
