What are users saying about FreeAgent Mobile

Q70%
by Q####:

The app is really slow shuffling through screens, regardless of whether you are on a 3G or wireless link, a slow phone or a top of the line new one. More importantly though, pray to $DEITY that you do not lose connectivity mid-request to their servers as this will log you out. Of course this is not a problem if you are okay with securing the accounts of your Limited company with the password '1234', but for those that like something a bit more secure, this is a regular kick in the nether regions. It is hard to believe the developers and staff at FreeAgent dogfood this app, which is a shame as it drags down a product that otherwise is rather marvelous.

N70%
by N####:

Problem found, my subscription wasn't valid for a day. The app could/shoud notify the user.

M70%
by M####:

As a first time sole trader this app and the accompanying online system have been a real help. Everything is laid out logically. I have linked my company bank account so I get regular balance and transaction updates, which in turn creates transaction data in the app for spends. I've not used other systems but I'm very happy with this one.

L70%
by L####:

Very slow, mileage doesn't work at all, I was going to get freeagent but the poor app is making me think twice

Q70%
by Q####:

I think I may be going blind because I cannot find the time-tracker anywhere. I wanted to try doing direct into Freeagent instead of current workflow of Toggl to track in realtime before manually entering into Freeagent it is much better than it used to be for sure

Q70%
by Q####:

Very poor UI for entering numbers e.g. for expenses - defaults to the previous entered value (which is rarely what you need) so you backspace over it and then the cursor jumps to the start of the number when you reach the decimal, so you have to move the cursor again! Other than this silly annoyance, it is ok, and I rarely have to use the web site.

Q70%
by Q####:

Creating and sending invoices from my mobile? EXCELLENT! Would be even better if the app supported Google auth like the website. Using it every day.

V70%
by V####:

This app for me is a loading screen with a cat staring at me. I never managed to use it. Not matter how much I wait, and how many chances I give it every update that comes out.

M70%
by M####:

Not bad. Should have the option for monthly/weekly/bi-weekly expenses so we don't have to keep adding them such as rent, mobile phone contract, car hire/leasing etc

F70%
by F####:

Android Oreo Dev os + the app crashes on boot

Q70%
by Q####:

App continues to fail and close whenever I attempt to attach a file (jpeg receipt) to explain a transaction

Q70%
by Q####:

Good app, issue has now been fixed in relation to the cursor jumping when entering the expense value.

M70%
by M####:

A great addition to the web site allowing me to check my figures while at the client site. A nice clean ui

P70%

Something has happened to the interface since upgrading os to Nougat. Please fix as a useful application.

X70%
by X####:

Quite good, but needs the ability to add projects and estimates

Q70%
by Q####:

I am a self employed electrician and was looking to simplify my accounting system. I downloaded two apps this and a well known TV advertised one, I found this app hard to navigate and often irrelevant to a sole trader like myself. I often have multiple invoices and bills to file each day and freeagent doesnt really help matters, It's also 3 times the price of the far better rival which is simple to use.

Q70%
by Q####:

I only really use the live time tracking and currently this isn't available in the app. But it works nicely in the mobile website. An example of mobile web being a good option.

I70%
by I####:

Guys, We need to be able to get to estimates from the app. Been asking since it launched!

Q70%
by Q####:

Seriously needs manual payment options added ASAP!

Q70%
by Q####:

And app is slowly coming along. Quotes / estimates on app next please ;)

S70%
by S####:

Come on guys! You can do better then that! The client's field doesn't populate when trying to start a timesheet. There is not even a button to start a new project for that new timesheet! The interface looks like year 2000 app. Your online app is such a great tool, you can do better for the mobile side of your business. Go, go go!

U70%
by U####:

After logging in, i found the app haa not properly populated information from my account to the app. It seems to have loaded up one project. No invoices, no profit/loss margin, no expenses. Not sure what this app is for if it can't seamlessly bounce info back abd forth with normal server data?

S70%
by S####:

Invoices recorded not available if paid for checking...

S70%
by S####:

Mobile Internet version is far better.

S70%
by S####:

When you add new invoices on the mobile app it would be nice if it used the charging rates like it does on the web version for projects. It would also be nice to incorporate OCR into receipt scanning so we don't have to use 3rd parties.

S70%
by S####:

The one thing ALL apps of this type should have is access and control of the timers. The one thing this doesn't have is that access.

S70%
by S####:

the ability to mark a invoice as paid from the app would be very handy

A70%
by A####:

This is 99% perfect. All we need is running timers - ability to start, stop and edit timers that are already running, and which have been started either on the smartphone or desktop. Once this is done, I will change my rating to a "5". Meanwhile, the existing features are great and convenient. Fingerprint logon, being able to enter expenses on the go, attachments, project overview, invoicing, mileage, add contacts, timeslips, banking, accounts payable and receivable, and more. If you use FreeAgent, you can't be without the smartphone version.

S70%
by S####:

A lot was writed by other people already so I wouldn't duplicate (assuming no one write it yet) so I will just share what improvements could be usefull for me and maybe others in construcion industry. so 1. set up users/employers wages then by adding timeslips, ability to create weekly (or monthly) report that will calculate also ammount to be paid to that person + option to convert to "bill". 2. users/employees opportunity to start stop timetracking on site with adding pictures from sites or gps markers.

S70%
by S####:

Dnloaded this to set up a new project ready to invoice against. Not an option yet. Will watch this space.

S70%
by S####:

Why is the start time so long with the latest update?

S70%
by S####:

Thanks for fixing the attachments issue. Just tried it and it worked fine. Actually gives you more options now e.g google drive or locally stored files whereas previously it was only showing One drive and Dropbox. Excellent turn around. Thanks

S70%
by S####:

Takes forever to start and to save an expense with photo, if this was streamlined it would be perfect. Going to try ExpenseAgent

V70%
by V####:

I can't believe it didn't have time tracking out of the box. I would have taken an app that ONLY tracks time. It's the feature that is most neccesarry when at a clients but don't have WiFi. A vault to take pictures of receipts that won't come up for a few days on the bank feed would be useful as well.

H70%
by H####:

Why the need for changing company details from your phhone and adding pictures from third party apps? Straight after you launched this we were all telling you it needs time tracking feature what are you doing?

S70%
by S####:

Great to have an official app, but no timeslips and no bills, the two features I use most.

S70%
by S####:

Why the in app purchases permission?

Y70%
by Y####:

It's ok, feels a bit like a web page inside of an app (I'm sorry to be harsh). It's disappointing that after waiting this long that it doesn't follow the Material design guidelines, it only loosely looks like it. The home page is very poorly structured (in my opinion) and looks like a mishmash of information. And the app icon on my home screen is far too big, even the Netflix icon isn't that big. The plus side is it's pretty responsive and it's now easier to check my balance and recent expenses on the go. I'm sure FreeAgent have their reasons for developing the app the way they have, like supporting more devices but I just wonder for how long the app can be maintained and if it will take advantage of features offered by newer updates to Android.

E70%
by E####:

Limited functionality compared to the mobile site. Would be nice to create and send new quotes on the fly. What about system notifications for new unexplained transactions, or maybe when an invoice is paid? Time slips are missed, I think this could be a feature incorporated into a home screen widget? I won't use this app until it does more and shows me more content than the mobile site (which I have a shortcut to on my home screen). This is very pared down but definitely a good start!

N70%
by N####:

I think this will be great once the bugs are sorted. Mime got stuxk repeatedly asking me if I wanted to discard changes when trying a new invoice
