Excellent app, though I only have one complaint. (Would easily be 5 stars and worth more $$$ if this were fixed) Basically, as it currently functions, you have to choose a specific target, and then with that "Folder" for that target type, you have sessions. I would like to be able to create a session, and then have multiple targets of different types in that session, and the PDF/heatmap generated for that session and all targets. For example, I shoot NRA Precision (Bullseye) matches. One example of a match is the B-16 target for slow fire, and two B-16 targets (timed and rapid). That constitutes one session, and they should be scored together, for a total possible of 300 points. Also the ability to export individual targets as PDFs, even if they're part of a session, would be an incredible addition to the program. Overall, great app, highly recommended, and almost perfect, but not quite.

Excellent app - does exactly what it says ; and is accurate.

Fantastic. Downloaded it yesterday and it worked accurately in today's ISSF air pistol comp. I would like to see notes included in the saved report for future reference. Highly recommend.

The only paid app I've ever downloaded. Simple, useful and constantly improving.

Note: Take the picture farther out, no need to go close! .. This app is very likely the best there is.

Works very well most of the time, white printed targets don't always scan well. Great app for NRA gallery shooter's.

LG G3 D855. Android 5.0. I have tested this App with Airpistol & Airrifle in 10 Meter ISSF Distance and it works very good.

I saw TargetScan last week at the range and wondered if it would work on my Blackberry Passport (after recently installing everything I needed to get Google Play Store working). Short answer is it doesn't work on BB Passport. Don't try - it squished the camera image and doesn't allow you to take a picture. I knew it was a long shot. What really impressed me was Thomas' quick responses to my emails and the level of support offered. When I provided the screenshots and issues - there was no nonsense or question and the refund was issued immediately. I then installed it on my daughter's Samsung S7 Edge and it works like a charm! Great product. Intuitive and easy to use. Now if it could only give me better scores than my daughter gets!

I downloaded this app a couple of months ago and only now started exploring it. I find it well worth the cost -- after all, this equals ten rounds of .30 cal. ammunition, and in a high-power match one will go through that in about a minute. So it's just part of the cost of your competition equipment. At first, from online descriptions, it didn't look like it covered my disciplines -- NRA and CMP high power. But the templates for those targets, at the required distances, are indeed included. For NRA and CMP, this app is most useful in situations where there are no target pullers -- where competitors have to walk up and score targets after a stage. This helps with the arithmetic and provides valuable feedback on group displacement and size. I'm new to the Android platform and not all of the functions and controls are intuitively obvious (they would be obvious to more experienced Android users). Author Thomas Gabrowski was very quick to answer questions, both before and after purchase.

Very fast to scan and correct shots on a S7 Edge, altough can behave weirdly when moving them around: a 'slow' mode to correct would be great. GUI is easy to navigate and the app is all around very simple. Can't wait to see the iOS features come over to Android. The app makes it very easy to do general shot tendencies analysis and already helped me correct some technical mistakes and match pacing. Very valuable tool and I'm looking forward to see further developments.

The application's idea is good. It needs a lot of work in order to get it to work. Best results are if you stick the target to your laptop screen, and focus the camera on the centre of the target. It works OK on ISSF 10m air pistol standard yellow targets with 5 shots, with minimum correction needed for clusters. The developer is responsive, and very helpful, however, the application is missing a crucial 10 m air pistol 14 cm practice target, which is widely used for training by most shooters in my area, a

Best features are email hard copy for archival use. Good analysis of accuracy vs consistency. Needs user input for ammunition. Date on discipline screen would be usefull.

Not as comprehensive as the ios version (but cheaper) and occasionally marks generously near the rings, but it is still a remarkable app. Please change it to record each card as shot in the report rather than grouping by ten shots. Needs top-end phone with good camera. Needs 5 diagram rifle cards to be scored in one go rather than 5. Won't bother taking one scan for every rifle shot. Life is too short.

L70%
by L####:

Does recognize known targets very well, and it is simple to adjust misread "hits". Check with support for adding new targets, which in my case has worked swiftly.

D70%

Does.not work. Tried under different lighting conditions, back and front. Picks up the target numbers as shots, but not all the shots. Frustrating. Installed on Sony Z5. Gave to a friend to use, whom has an earlier version on an iPhone. Frustrated him too. Not alone. Gone back to the camera and counting.

So good that I backed it before it was released. Keeps getting better, with new features.

Not as comprehensive as the ios version (but cheaper) and occasionally marks generously near the rings, but it is still a remarkable app. Needs to record cards as shot in the report rather than grouping by ten shots. I use a frosted sheet of perspex as backer when photographing as I shoot a lot in the white! Needs top end phone with good camera. Needs 5 diagram rifle cards to be scored in one go rather than 5. Won't bother taking 5 scans per card. Life is too short.

Awesome score recognition and scoring app!

X70%
by X####:

This is the best scoring app! The others I've looked at in the Play store require the shooter to enter each shot manually. Have used this app on an S4 and S6. Shot detection has improved greatly such that a backlight is unnecessary. Now TS scores great with a target on a sheet of white paper and overhead 60 watt halogen. Also find great value in the group analysis: location, size, distribution, etc. Also PDF report export is useful. Thomas (the developer) is great with personal correspondence.

Works very well on my S6. I would recommend this to target shooters. I really like the PDF report of a particular session and the individual series and the combined shots. Good work all on the development team.

I'm From NZ after noticing our local targets were not on the app, I sent through all the details. I received an email back quite quickly, and an assurance the targets would be added. I purchased the app and soon after noticed an update including the NZ targets. Highly recommended app.

I just recorded my first 10m air pistol shoot and it worked perfectly. Is there a setting to enable the flash somewhere? Because it doesn't like to work in dim-lit situations. Otherwise... it's perfect.

R70%

This is a nice app, clean and simple to use. I wish however that the selection of disciplines where the same for Android as it is for the IOS version. There are no USBR targets yet on Android, but IBS and such on the IOS version. I will still give it 4 stars, would be a 5 star app if it had a way of adding your own targets (editor)

I70%
by I####:

Continual developments have made this app extremely useful and stable. I only use it for 10m air so can't comment on other disciplines.

L70%
by L####:

Every target shooter needs to have this app. A pocket diary and a history, broken up into 10 shot segments. Wonderful! No more physical diaries and collection of paper targets. The app detects the shots well most of the time, and it the rare event there are shots out, it is possible to simply move the shots back into place. Thomas the developer is very responsive to emails and questions, also receptive to ideas to make the app even better than it already is. A definite mainstay for every target shooter.

Excellent way to analyze your groups - gives solid data for making meaningful, informed adjustments. The new session reports are great - looking forward to the Android version catching up to the iOS one for features & target types.

X70%

I have used this app for the past week of practice and its already shown my team where their flaws are over 10 shots, either natural point of aim or breath control, it helps me analyze each of them

X70%
by X####:

Seems to be extremely accurate, if you properly back light the targets. Nicely done - I have been hoping for an android version. Well worth the money! Would love to be able to change calibers when setting up the folders, perhaps in a future update?

X70%
by X####:

Out of ten shots, I will often throw one in the white. I can't get the app to pick up on those. It also tends to be more generous on close shots than I am. Otherwise, it gives excellent analysis that a human could not. Great app.

O70%
by O####:

This app could be a great foundation upon which you could build a great postal/online league or competition. Shoot it, scan it, post it, perhaps even keeping a photographic record to settle dispute. As it stands, great app to record my not so great performances. Thank you.

X70%
by X####:

Works good. But on Android 4.4.2, we only get the version 1.6.0 of this app. Score analysis and the option to print/email the session report are not there.
