SMail - Secure Email

It appears the app has been abandon. Wrote the developer several times and no answer. In the past Gimy was always very fast to respond. Excellent app and developer but no longer working properly. Many problems in sending and receiving. This email client has EVERYTHING you could ask for or need if you want a great interface and utilize smime digital signature and encryption. Was the only true android alternative Outlook desktop and Thunderbird.

Doesn't seem to support Oauth 2.0. Gmail connections are prevented with error "cannot connect securely to server", certificate changed. Why doesn't it auto-update certificates?

Looks stable and user friendly and has edge over other free apps. ..how to search inbox ?

Smail shows mails body with too small font and I must zoom each mail to read it. It's very uncomfortable. Second useless - I don't find option to compose mails inline like on phone without separate window. Third thing - SMail often lose original mail when I reply. As result recipient receives only my unswer without previous conversation. I can't send mail after update my htc one 9 with Android 6 "file can't be encrypted"

Had some issues with my yahoo account & imap settings . Also messy layout with lots of ads. There's better apps out there.

I have changed the setting to silent for notifications 10x, yet it doesn't save and my phone keeps chiming every time I receive an email. This should be a basic function but does not work! Uninstalling, this is a deal breaker to not be able to turn sound off. Also no led light notification, this is a basic feature that I am shocked is not included!

Pros: fast to open email, notifies before desktop sometimes, fully featured, separates mails by date on list view. Cons: old gui, sometimes it stops notifying for 15 minutes, no full message preview in notification bar, when tapping an email from notification bar it takes you to the app but doesn't open email directly, when mark email unread it doesn't go to the mail list, when deleting unopened email you get notification that a new email arrived (in the trash)

Solved my purpose. Able to send receive emails. Only problem is to search enterprise address book.

I have already paid for all 3 levels/algorithms and still am getting "No decryptable entry found" when trying to open encypted emails. I have tried with 2k and 4k rsa certs generated in Smail and 3des... and plenty others option and always the same. Weather I'm sending emails to my self or to my colleagues within the same or other domain, having my contact cert registered/imported -always the same error and others have same error. Previous or newest soft ver does not matter.

Cannot delete Exchange emails from one user (even after they have been deleted from the server). Also people are telling me that some digitally signed messages I send (with Comodo cert) are coming through blank. Minor annoyances in an otherwise useful and full-featured application.

Just switched to an Android phone and tried just about every Exchange ActiveSync mail app on the market. All of them had one issue or another: requires paid subscription, duplicates emails, won't connect, slow to forever sync...etc. Finally found an app that was stress free to setup, completely free to use, and makes my life easier now that I'm connected to my corporate account.

Like all of the little things about the SMail GUI that makes it a workhorse and helps me be more productive. It's a very good mail client overall, even if you dont need the excellent SMime security features. Less eye candy "iOS" styling, more about function. Developer is very responsive. Don't understand why more people don't know about or use this app.

This the actual email client which I am looking for ..and best thing is HTML editing with bold,underline etc....1 star less due to font color options is not enable place fix it..

This is the best android app I've found so far that supports inbound and outbound encryption on an Exchange account.

Update: I've always liked all of the little things about the SMail GUI that makes it a workhorse and helps me be more productive. Had deal-breaker issues with it and our old Exchange 2003 server, but SMail is working great on our new 2010 server. Not using the secure functions, but it's a very good mail client overall. Less eye candy "iOS" styling, more about function.

After this last update it just doesn't work hardly at all. Stuff gets stuck in the drafts file now have inter errors at the server. What ever you did you broke it. Have to find one that works bye bye.

Hi Gimy.. Since last upgrade I have advertising with my paid pro version ??? Also keeps showing error messages "can not log in. Check settings passwords etc !! CAN YOU PLEASE FIX ASAP ??? after trying several times to create the local key store and failing, i'm giving up. for a program that's supposed to do S/MIME, this is sort of a bad bug (and a deal killer.)

Maybe it's for super humans and mega professionals but us ordinary people with only degrees aren't allowed to understand it. I guess it's to much to ask to make it easy. useless software.

I've tried every Android client on the market looking for one that does all of the following: Exchange activesync, S/MIME, IMAP, unified inbox, and handles Gmail folders and deleting properly and conversation view. This one does it all except for conversation view! Not only that, the developer is very responsive and has updated the software to promptly fix every problem is reported. He has also indicated that conversation view will likely be added in the future.

Reliable IMAP idle(push) and s/mime. My wishlist for this app: - Swipe to delete/archive from msg list - Options to always load pics or load pics from contacts - Control over account colors - Unread count on widget - Checkboxes on compose for sig/encryption vs pop-up - Better app icon - Contact pictures in message list (see Aquamail) - More options in notification (sender/subject/mark read/reply) Above are minor. Signing, encryption, and push work perfectly are the most important points.

Lacking some options. Most importantly the option to keep a copy of deleted mail on the server and not in the servers trash bin.

Hi, I have installed SMAIL (configured for corporate exchange account), incoming is ok but am having problem 1. Out going not working, Its not sending mails. 2. Signature is not showing properly 3. No option to activate Out of Office. Plz help Supravin
