This seems largly ok and has all I need but, even though it claims "easy to use" its only easy if you know your birds & with scientific name while hanging upside down with the lights of. The search method isnt easy to isolate birds either. I'm very experienced myself In the field and I struggle with this app. I recommend beginners to try a few other apps instead of this- there are far easier apps to use out there (this is the hardest ive tried). Easy apps should be obvious & SIMPLE to operate straight away.

This is an excellent app to record sightings and then upload to websites such as eBird to contribute to citizen scientist database projects. Gina's technical support with making sure the app works is unparalleled! Definitely worthy of 5 stars!

I've been using MBO for about 18 months now and it is easily the best suited app I've found for keeping track of all bird sightings across multiple locations. I have one main area that I do most of my birding (near to where I work), but I also like to keep track of birds I see in my garden, in my local patch, and any other areas I visit. MBO allows me to keep all those sightings together under separate location names. I also have templates set up with the birds I'm most likely to see, this allows me to just press a single button next to a species name to increment the current count for the current list. There's also a freeform comment field for making extra notes if something needs to be remembered. In short, this app keeps it simple, is easy to learn, and allows lists to be maintained with the minimum of fuss. The developer is perfectly accessible via the website for any queries about the application - I got a response (well several!) to an awkward issue I was having because I hadn't backed up my data correctly and was struggling to get everything back after a phone crash. Considering the price of the app, Gina went above and beyond what I expected to sort me out. Amazing!

Don't listen to the negative reviews about the developer being unreachable. She is far and above the most accessible app creater out there. You can email, facebook, or find her on her website! She takes suggestions to heart and is willing to do just about anything you ask of her. This app has everything that a birder who is listing needs! I keep about 7 lists going all the time and this is super easy to use! LOVE it. I recently went on a trip to Costa Rica and had a trip list of 430 birds over 10 days, I had ZERO issue entering such a huge list and was so excited to see the "Life Bird" notification every time I saw a new bird! I recommend this app to every, beginner to advanced birders :)

After installing I discovered it didn't work as expected (list of names on checklist was nonsense, perhaps abbreviations of some kind but not eBird abbreviations). When I tried to contact the developer I filled in all the fields in the support page but it kept reloading the page, insisting I needed to input my email, which I actually had done - tried a few times to fill out that form but it never accepted it. Also even though I uninstalled from my phone within a few minutes, I still couldn't get a refund. I write software myself so I know what I'm talking about.

Listers will be happy to have observations collected and moved to ebird or personal files

This is a really simple app to use and that is its strength. There is no need for tedious setup beforehand - just get on and use it! Great support.

This is excellent app! This is the only app that i found that don't limit your trip list to a specific area. Setup your life list and trip list for any place and bird in the world! Quick response from the developer and very helpful.
