Gitden Reader: EPUB3 & EPUB2

This is the best epub/ebook reader app I've found on android. I tried all sorts of epub readers but none were up to the mark. I love how you can import books, and when importing it won't show u old files (that you've already imported) which is an excellent feature for a forgetful person like me. Most as would just show an error message and even ignore the request to import other files. Overall a great app. Although, I wish the UI was more attractive but I don't think it matters much.

With my screen settings on dim/auto (i.e.screen should be dim except in bright sunlight), this app immediately puts my screen at full brightness. Thanks for the reply but I can't even see the screen to put the settings back to normal. Needs to be easier! And why not leave the Android stock brightness controls available. Still one star, sorry. It's honestly useless to me like this.

I open a epub in the gitden and showing incompatible ebook or limited drm or epub file source not found. But the same epub I can open in ade and fb reader and in this two readers epub is showing perfectly. Very disappointed!!!!

Love this reader! But please, can you black mode make more soft black color? More grayish, couse very dark black hurts eyes at night. Please

No mobi support. Pdf requires 3rd party app and no cover in shelf. Swipe to flip page is laggy.

It opens standard epubs fine but whenever I try to open an epub3 file the screen just stays black.

Embedded videos can only play in Single Page mode. I can read horizontal Japanese text but vertical text does not display.

I installed this in order to read Games Workshop epub3 books stored on an SD card in my tablet. Kobo displays the books perfectly but now cannot find the SD card for some reason. Gitden allows me to import the books but only displays a graduated grey tint as the page image.

Please, help me change font from Original to another, only Original active, other item don't be choosen. My device is Intel based

Good day, Thank you so much for the amazing app,please can you extend the limit size the book is supposed to be, because I have a really large eBook epub and unfortunately it can't open because the file is too large. Please and thank you.

Used to view some complex HTML tables and ePub3 files, never disappointed! The only catch seems to be no option to view the first line of a paragraph indented... Add this function and it'll be a 5 star :)

Slow to open big books but otherwise works fine

Glad that my friend recommended this app to me. It's really easy to use and it's sort of all in one. I can read different formats of books using just one app. Truly satisfied.

Why its laggy when turing pages,theres 1s delaywhen i swipe

It's great and fantastic with publisher CSS but adding an option to open colordict in one pressure would make it perfect. Sorry for rating it's 3 but really hope to see that option.

Have been using this for 3 months now. Simple and easy to use yet comes with many features. Great job.

I tried many apps to read persian epubs. Gitden is the only one that overcomes persian epub reading. Its the best one for RTL languages.

It take space in memory because it coby the epube file in its folder

Initial impression is really good. However, some minor issues (or requests). I would like to be able to (as an option) invert the page-turning with my volume-buttons so that + turns to the next page and - goes to the previous page. // I read on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in landscape mode. This means that it is most convenient to have the volume buttons facing downwards, which in turn means that + faces to the right and - to the left and is very counter-intuitive to use to turn pages. // I have also experienced some sluggishness in the tap-to-turn-page function and sometimes it even turns to the previous page instead. // Finally, when I change rotation of my device, the app doesn't seem to recall what part of the text it was displaying but rather jumps back to the start of the chapter. // Despite the above, this is by far the best epub reader I've tried so far, mostly because it conforms to the epub 3.0 standard as well as CSS3. Fix that (or tell me how to solve it if it's on my end) and you'll get a solid 5-star from me!

Some of my book didn't have cover displayed, how can I make gitden show my book cover?

I love the app. My only problem is when i update I lose all my previous stuff

I can now use the custom fonts feature. I realised that the fonts must be imported as a zip. The feature is very advanced and customised. This is an excellent work. Keep up the good work.

Used to be I couldn't load any book. Thought I'd try it again. Even worse now. Can't even open the app.

Works as advertised! I just want to ask two questions: 1) Colordict window is a little too big for me? Do we have any option to resize it? 2) Epub download in aozora opds does not work (but pdf does). Could you fix this?
