This is to me is a real improvement over Gmail mobile. This to me is what Gmail mobile should have been.
Marking done and snoozing is great, but I would like to mark as read/unread. Also someone really needs to implement an automatic open of the next or previous conversation on marking as done! I like powering through emails, but only after glancing at the contents!
Changed how I view email somewhat and has made it less of a chore which is always good. Needs a widget tho. ALSO: issues with multiple notifications. Currently only notified for the first email, all following (regardless of label) lack notification. Settings all fine.
I have 3 email accounts, so I wish there was an unread counter next to each icon like Gmail has. Also, the unread emails don't stand out as much as Gmail. It would be nice if they stood out a little more so they were more distinguishable from read emails. I wish I got notifications and could reply from my gear s2 like I do with Gmail.
I've been using this client for a while and the only thing I have missed is the ability to print emails. I would like to send the occasional email to my printer which the phone supports via the HP printer service. Failing that, at minimum output to PDF to save to drive or send via Bluetooth to my PC. I have fed this back to Google but you have to wonder if feedback ever gets read. I can't be the only person who would use a print feature.
Why can't i print my emails from it? Seems like a fairly important feature to miss! I have to revert to Gmail whenever I need to print out an e-ticket or receipt etc.... That's just plain stupid and means I have to have both apps on my phone...
Awesome integration with calendars and reminders, and I love it scraping my emails and putting important info (flight numbers, tracking numbers, etc) at the front. BUT no Exchange support means it still can't be my do-all email app. Desperately needs to support Microsoft Exchange email accounts.
I've had a Hotmail account since the Vikings were invading Europe, and it's just sort of become my spam folder, writ large. Just to see what it would do, I plugged the account into my gmail, and over the next two days, the spam filter actually did it's job! Not sure how they got it done, but well done! To add a further complication, I use InBox for Gmail. Like I said, it took a day or two for things to fully integrate, but now I'll get a a monthly bill from the Hotmail account, and I can "snooze" it until w
I have stopped my gmail app but noticed some of the best Gmail features are not migrating here.. will inbox get the new features recently launched for Gmail regarding content being pasted in?
I want to see a duplicate link remover option for my saved links; in future updates. Also worth mentioning is that links in the spam emails are not clickable; even after transferring them to inbox label; please fix. Thanks.
The latest update just doesn't work, I click the app, try loading an email and have to wait about a minute before I get anything. Everything else on the phone works fine so don't think the phone is faulty
So I've forced myself to use this over Gmail and I'm glad I did until you have to respond to an email. If it's a deep in conversation email the fact it bounces up to the email and highlights it is frustrating. The fact you have to save as a draft so you can easily scroll down is very annoying.
I appreciate the effort, but I "lose" too many emails in the attempt to "organize" everything. Too many clicks at times, too little info at many other times. Tried it for a few weeks, but am going back to the old system. Will check on it again after it matures.
I wish I could make it give me only one of my emails instead of insisting on both. If it did, I'd use it for my Comcast address, since their entire system sucks, but it insists on picking up both that and my gmail, and worsw, defaulting to the gmail, so I don't use it much.
Stopped using because I couldn't mark an email as unread. If I read the email, but didn't have time to respond, I mark it unread so I can remember to respond to it later. Can't do it with Inbox. Other than that it was a good app as long as used it.
I'm going on holiday in a few days, but all my emails aren't bundled in a trip. Very annoying that you can't help Google realise its error.
1.)Please give us the option to integrate with all our other mail accounts. 2.)Give us the option to make this app our default mail app instead of the- sorry to say but the boaring default Gmail app. 5 stars after that.
After making Gmail my primary email account over 3yrs ago, I loved it. So when Google came out with Inbox, I'm sure glad that I switched, it's so much easier... For everyone that has a Google account, you should at least just try it. You'll love it. Keep updating & thanks for all your hard work.
Since the most recent update, I keep getting messages regularly and consistently from Inbox staying that "Oops. Something went wrong. Most recent changes may not have been saved."
I don't think Google are really invested in this app anymore. I'd like to see this app replace the mundane Gmail app but as this only supports Gmail accounts - i have no further use for it. (Did try it ever since initial release).
Gmail works like a charm. Inbox (settings the same) falls short...
I love this app when it's working. On a laptop it's fantastic. Unfortunately, even after several updates it constantly crashes on my Moto G3 to the point that it is unusable. Please fix.
I downgraded to 4 stars because I wish I could use it with Google apps for education and work, because I can't use it as my main mail app without support for those. It'd be 5+ stars otherwise.
Everything is nice. Just add option to mark messages as read or unread. That will make this app complete for me. Just because of this missing feature I switch back to gmail app everytime.
I really like it but I still have to use Gmail since Inbox is still missing many features and it lags so much when you reply to long email chain it's nearly useless in those cases that's when I have to use Gmail app
Bundling information in one place is good but I noticed if a message is received that is not part of any group, no notification is provided. Once that is fixed I'll give it a 5 star.
Design-wise, it's got the Material feel Gmail's lacking. Super clean, intuitive interface. It's also optimized to reflect your upcoming events/agenda.
I like this app but a tablet view mode would be immensely useful. Also if they would add an easier way to download your attachments. My tablet does not always have wifi so it would be useful to be able to download them a little easier.
I use this app more than all the others on my phone combined. I love it. The bundling and procrastination features are especially productive.
Just sits whirling around not loading any content of any email. Was great until this over the last few days
I was very used to Gmail, but after a trying inbox I got hooked, very simple to use. Got nearly all the options I need. But I'm happy the way it is.
Fails to do this simple thing. Adds signature at the very end of quote, that too inside it! Uhh. This is not just in the app but on the web interface too.
We are quite safe here from your pitiful little friends Skywalker!
Please add the feature to download attachments just like in Gmail. With inbox you can only view them!
It's very intelligent organise all the stuff and smater than Gmail, and once you are using to it, it would be very helpful and improve your efficiency
Really starting to like the inbox by Gmail stacking all your mail in one spot works better for me
Use it all the time. Still cannot delete selective email in the same thread. Insists on deleting the entire thread. Please fix
It's easy to operate and it's has a nice layout. One more feature would be great, forward multiple emails.
Even with rules set up doesn't folder/label automatically which makes this no better than any other email app. Plus spam filter is hyper aggressive and even when I remove puts other emails from same sender in spam.
It had a "Select All" option, please add this feature!
