Sometimes the auto-capitalisation feature does not work. Not all the times, just sometimes. I have to go back to the settings to off and on it again. Tell me when it is fix led and I will give 5 stars. Also, I would like to have easier access to the equal symbol (=). It will be good if the symbol button doesn't not need to wait for longpress delay.

T70%
by T####:

It works fairly well for me. I find it to be quite accurate. All that is missing though are arrow keys. Also, when the long press for symbols is enabled for the main keyboard, there is an issue with the"forward slash". There isn't one. There is the backslash on the "w" key but on the"e" key next to it, where I think the forward slash should go, it is a straight up and down vertical line instead. That needs to be fixed. Then I'll give it 5 stars. Well done!

Does not support Android for work profile. I couldn't synchronize my learned words because it is not supported on Android for Work Profile. Do I have to do something to my phone or google account to make it sync? Or will you be releasing an update which will tackle this security. When you fix this issue via an update or I get directives to achieving this, I will rate it 5 star. Thanks.

I've encountered a very annoying bug. Whenever I try to type something while using the phone's default internet browser, be it in a search bar or somewhere else, I can only do it once. If I try typing again after closing the keyboard, the next time it pops up any key I press does nothing. I then have to close and reopen the browser to be able to type something again (still only once). The issue also affects the Facebook login pop up in apps that support it.

N70%
by N####:

I thought giving it time to learn would help, but I still find the word prediction and correction very poor. My typing speed has slowed down significantly because this app is so much worse at correcting typing errors than the old Google keyboard.

T70%
by T####:

Not showing suggestions for Google products / apps is silly. I know g already has this feature, but when you click in a g app it doesn't correct it ENTERS it then executes. Annoying if it's only the second word in a 5 word string. Please fix!

M70%
by M####:

Weirdly, no suggestions in certain situations. I'm going to write the next sentences without any corrections and as fast as I can: finger typing is this accurate. Which is way better than it used to be. Actually, I'm not sure it has made a mistake yet. Yep. No mistakes. Nada. Zip. Zero. Let's try something tricky like: mallard is a type of duck.

i'm using xiaomi mi5, and typing with Google Keyboard. This keyboard is missing recently, and whole keyboard layout is covered by a black box above it, but i still able to type with guessing the letter position. lol. After a moment, a dialog box appear and it said Gkeyboard has stopped working. My phone is not rooted, and i'm using official global miui rom from xiaomi. I've been reinstall the miui rom few times, but the bugs still occurs. Please fix this, google. thanks

Used to work fine, but the latest "updates" ruined it. Misses suggestions, doesn't learn, is veeeery slow, looks like the dictionary is now online. Becomes useless in places with a spotty signal. Useless for two or more language speakers. Slow, stupid and a downgrade to my stock keyboard. Used to love it. Update for February: you are actually making it worse. Update for march: uninstalling

N70%
by N####:

Please just give us the option of cursor keys at the bottom of the keyboard like other keyboards have. The gesture method of moving the cursor is too cumbersome and inaccurate, it simply isn't as quick as a dedicated button. The extra padding would also stop my phone's home button from being accidentally activated whenever I press the space bar too low.

J70%
by J####:

Nice, but it's annoying how in Chrome and some other apps it hides the word suggestion row. ∆∆∆∆ Also annoying that it refuses to auto-capitalise the letter i. ∆∆∆∆ If you swipe from delete key to letter Z, it deletes whole words at a time. Move up or down a row when swiping and delete is cancelled. Accidentally delete too much, and you can undelete by tapping in top row as deleted text appears there. Very useful!

T70%
by T####:

Overall excellent - fast, responsive and the predictive text is pretty good. Only two problems I have with it are that its Hebrew vocabulary is limited and there's no native gif input for WhatsApp despite the fact that the app has supported the format for quite some time.

Where is option for stopping pop up while typing. It is not given till now?? I have to uninstall it for such a small feature you could not give and have to go to swift keyboard which is much great than yours....Hope you make a good update next time thanks

T70%
by T####:

A good effort, especially the themes. But there are some necessary improvements to bring it up to speed with SwiftKey: 1. Suggested words don't appear in every app. 2. Speed up how quickly you can delete words. 3. Make the suggested words more accurate at predicting, SwiftKey does this very well. 4. It should automatically take a space after adding a comma. 5. It would be good to be able to hide the keyboard in some way, with SwiftKey you can swipe down through the keys to hide the keyboard. (Typing this review took a lot longer than it should have.) Back to SwiftKey for now.

I downloaded it today and started using .. I love the default themes it has and love the way it works .. I usually try an app for 7 to 10 days before reviewing it however This time I couldn't stop myself from reviewing it on the first day of its download.. I don't like predections and all and just like a beautiful keyboard and I have got the same.. Themes are as beautiful as I like .. perfect replacement for my samsung keyboard .. Seems like google can never go wrong with there products .. I am a Software Tester and likes to find bugs in whatever I download or use and if I am saying it's good then trust me .. it is good :)

So far I'm liking most of the features the prediction and spell correction algorithm is fantastic and I like that it supports multiple simultaneous English dictionaries. BUT and for me it's a really big But the keyboard has no way to view and/or access the clipboard history. In some text entry fields It can be viewed (long press gives you paste and clipboard options) but in many others ie in chrome or here. In fact in here I cannot paste at all using Gboard whilst the stock samsung keyboard gives me the ability to paste and always gives me the ability to access full clipboard history

Well, I love G-board. Using it almost 3 years. Everything is cool - both design and suggestions, swipe as well. But on my new phone - meizu m5 it doesn't work for Ukrainian language. I was waiting for the update, but nothing happened... So now I can't use my favorite keyboard with the same enjoyment. No suggestions, no swipe for this language... Although it always shows "downloading: suggestions for Ukrainian will be ready soon", nothing happens. Every time I open the keyboard or switch into Ukrainian... Hope u'll fix it or make some measures.

Thanks to the developers. It's a very beautiful, fast and probably best keyboard for Android. But it seems there is a bug in it. Suggestions work fine on some apps but they just don't show up on some other apps. Like Google chrome. They work right now as I'm using them typing this comment. I searched the web for a solution, and it seems many many people have the same issue but there's no real fix. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it didn't help. I'm on HTC 10, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Tnx.

Best keyboard by a long shot for Android users. I have the pixel now but even before this I had this keyboard on my Samsung. If you understand how to use, it's so easy to change autocorrect and add new words for it to learn. Keyboard is nice and customizable, I'm about to but a new picture for my background now. The borders separating the keys option is nice too so I use that. I rarely mess up typing on it. About the closest thing in accuracy speed typing I can find that compares to a iPhone.

by T####:

Very accurate typing for sliding/swyping... Even better than Swype! I also really like the inline Google searching and voice input! Some features that would make this keyboard a lot more productive: 1) availability in all apps for suggestions, corrections, and sliding. 2) gesture to capitalize the current word (first letter, or entire word). 3) gesture to hide keyboard. 4) gesture to select all, cut, copy and paste (sometimes long press does not bring up this menu... Like this feedback page!). 5) gesture to highlight word currently on even if in middle... For fast delete In a word, this does many things that Swype keyboard does not do well but Swype keyboard does a lot well that this keyboard doesn't do well.

It's ok. Why can this app not auto-capitalise a letter i standing on its own? I'd love to see an easier way of gliding to get a capital letter - gliding up from the letter and off the keyboard before continuing to glide over the rest of the word would be one way, there may be others. Long pressing letters to get to the punctuation marks and special characters on the second keyboard would be another addition which would speed things up. Word prediction accuracy is excellent.

Love it! The only complaint I have is the microphone. In the description of the app, there claims to be one, but there isn't one here. That's the only reason for holding back on the 5th star. I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't mentioned in the description. Update: I updated the app, and now I have the microphone, and works great. Thanks for the fix. I did notice, however, that running this same app on my cell phone I get a "popup on keypress". I miss that on my tablet. There is actually a setting for it on the phone version, but not the tablet version. Maybe the next update!?

This is an OK keyboard, but there are other options out there that do a much better job. When I type a specific word in, I expect that when I hit the space bar for it to enter that word. However, this is not the case with Gboard. Maybe because I have been using SwiftKey for over 5 years I am use to their predictions and functions. I tried this keyboard for a few hours and was not able to get it to work the way I wanted.

Would really appreciate if the developer team would add the Nepali keyboard, too. There are many native users who would be using the keyboard. Thanks in advance Edit: Not sure whether you noticed my request but now that you've added support for the Nepali language, I'd like to thank the team once again.

Great app! Just got even better. Love the new update with seamless switching between typing and speech to text input! Also, Google speech to text is far superior to Siri and Apple. I hardly have to go back and make corrections, I have friends who use Siri on their iPhones and are always sending the wrong messages. Siri is notorious for mixing up different words. Google's Text to speech learns very quickly and will always be superior over Apple and Siri.

This is by far the best keyboard that there is on the market today. My stock keyboard was very slow and bulky so I downloaded this one and I do not regret my decision. The swiping feature on this keyboard is extremely easy and fun to learn and makes typing on my phone and tablet a lot more enjoyable. And all of this is free and doesn't cost money like the other keyboards. I came back to this keyboard from Swiftkey when this got the big Gboard update. The prediction engine has become incredibly good and I think I'm going to stick to this keyboard. The emoji prediction is also pretty sweet

H70%
by H####:

The keyboard is very fast and responsive with cool features. It finally got a number row at the top of keyboard and emoji search. The emoji search is much easier. Just type what you want right from the keyboard and pops up as a emoji. Not all the emojis pop up like If I put happy no smiley face. Google finally made the most convenient and smooth keyboard I have ever used. The integrated search is really handy.

Hey, Google. I'm not sure what might have caused this, but it started happening pretty recently. (Within this last month.) When I use voice to text on Gboard, sometimes it repeats what I voiced several times and types it out. A fix for this would be appreciated. (If it helps any, it looks like every repeat it types out has one word different. (I'm no programmer, but it seems like while the keyboard is thinking about which word you meant, it accidently types all the possibilities out as whole phrases.)) Thank you!

T70%

Why doesn't it show suggestions in search boxes?! You're the only darn keyboard that does this!! Occasionally freezes but pressing the back button and reloading the keyboard fixes this. Swipe is excellent compared to other keyboards and it has a more responsive feel. Overall I am happy with this keyboard and will keep it as my default.

So far, I think this is one of the best keyboards on Play Store. So good that I am writing this review using Gboard. But one thing that really, really upsets me, I never expected this from Google app developers - is that Gboard doesn't have many languages, especially Kazakh keyboard. Please, Google do something. I don't wanna switch to other keyboards. Hope good stuff with the next update.

Google search, emoji suggestion and gif search are awesome to have built-in. Love the gif integration into the keyboard, but it hasn't been working lately on my note 4 - I get an error message stating not connected to the internet emoji suggestion could be improved too. Doesn't suggest many emojis. Other than that I love how silky smooth the key board is and how customizable it is with the beautiful nature scenes,!

I used this keyboard for a long time. But after more than a year after asking the Google team to make word suggestions available also in format fields and browsers search bars I still have no feature and no answer. I'm installing Swiftkey. It's a pity cause the multiple languages feature is impressive. Bye bye G, once again.

T70%
by T####:

I would love if Google made it easier to type correctly in Spanish. There are some basic rules that can be automated. Opening Question and Exclamation marks are hard to access. They could be placed automatically when the question is closed. Also, interrogative words are accented in Spanish. When "Que", "Cuando", "Como", "Donde", "Por/para/de/en que" are typed in a question/exclamation, they should be accented automatically to make "Qué", "Cuéndo", "Cómo", "Dónde", "Por/para/de/en qué" Other than that, the keyboard is easy to use. Love the emoji feature and the fact that I can use two languages as I'm bilingual and never really use a single language in a conversation.

D70%
by D####:

The personal dictionary has a very short character limit and does not handle newline characters and rich text formatting well, unlike Swiftkey. Also it does not have a clipboard history manager to recall cut/copied items, again unlike Swiftkey. Until this keyboard matches these two features, Swiftkey is still king.

T70%
by T####:

Still like Swiftkey better and I really want to like this but most things can be done faster; capatalizing the next sentence, emoji search (without the need to hit a search button), getting to the number pad, putting a space after punctuation, no predictive text in Google search. I'm sure I'm missing some things but that's it so far. Only using because I wanted a change of pace for a sec. Will go back to Swiftkey

E70%
by E####:

Yeeeesssss!!! Finally! This may be the best Gboard has ever been. The previous update added so many glitches I was about to go back to Swiftkey. The suggestions work again and the typing experience is so much better now. Also, the backspace works properly now so it doesn't leave a letter behind when you're trying to delete a word. I am very pleased.

S70%
by S####:

Typing is the biggest issue in Gboard.. At times it does not read the typing command for a letter/character or a word. And some times when the suggestions are used once it types them multiple times (same happens when typing as well). Very frustrating.. Also not to mention the Capitalisation and other errors which many people have already mentioned.. A lot of corrections required in the next update..

Q70%
by Q####:

On the Xperia Z3 with Marshmallow pressing on the right edge of keys like P and backspace results in a keypress but no vibrate. This didn't occur on Lollipop on the same phone, nor on other keyboards under Marshmallow. In Firefox you can't always see what you're highlighting with delete and swiping left/right on space bar.

Y70%
by Y####:

I really like this keyboard and prefer it to Swiftkey and other third party keyboards. My only gripe with it is that it doesn't autocorrect when you type in search and address bars. Sure, Google will suggest corrections after you press enter, but I find that inline autocorrect is still more accurate since Google suggestions can be far-fetched when you've made multiple typographical errors.

T70%
by T####:

Can you please add an option to automatically insert a space after gliding a word? That would make use of predictions much easier. Swiftkey just took that feature off,so there's a whole lot of people waiting for some other keyboard to come up with that feature.
