Welcome to Greenalp. With this app you can essentially do two things:
1.) Show your own location live on Google Maps. This way your family and friends always know where you are and that you are safe.
2.) See the location of your friends and family members right in the app. Just ask them to install this app.

Important for battery saving: By default this app is configured for high frequency tracking and high accuracy, which needs quite much battery. If you would like to save battery it's strongly recommended to run the battery wizard. For extreme power saving, use the remote control to run the tracker on-demand only.

This app has always worked perfectly for us but since the last update it works for a while then goes haywire (something to do with Google not allowing tracking when the screen is on standby for long periods). We use it for safety when out mountain biking, so this latest update renders it useless. Let's hope something is done to sort it soon.

Bike Riding. Love it. Intentionally allow myself to get lost in the labrynth of fire roads in northern Michigan. Turn on the app, orient myself and work my way back out. Also email a link for my wife's piece of mind. She loves it too.

Used to be great; used it all the time. In the past weeks it stops connecting with my wife's phone. We've reconnected and reconnected but it won't keep her on.
