مؤسسة بحر الثقافة

بحر الثقافة: ملتقى ثقافي يمارس نشاطاته وفق برامج أدبية وفنية ومعرفية أسبوعية أو شهرية أو موسمية أو سنوية، انطلق عام 2004 في أبوظبي. وجاءت تسمية هذا الصالون بـ (بحر الثقافة) اقتداءً بوصف الشاعر العربي الكبير حافظ إبراهيم للغة العربية في قصيدة جاء في أحد أبياتها:

أنا البحرُ في أحشائه الدرُّ كامنٌ فَهَل سأَلوا الغوَّاصَ عَن صَدَفاتي

يسعى صالون (بحر الثقافة) إلى تحقيق مجموعة أهداف، منها: التأكيد على دور الثقافة والمعرفة والإبداع في البناء الذاتي للمرأة، وتطوير قدراتها المعرفية والفكرية والثقافية والإبداعية والجمالية لكي تكون قادرة على التفاعل الثقافي مع المجتمع. واستقطاب النساء من مختلف الأعمار والمستويات التعلمية والثقافية، وتنمية المشاركة الحوارية لديها، وترسيخ قيم ومهارات القراءة والكتاب، وتعزيز المعرفة الجمالية في حياتها.
