Easy DIY Wooden Cupcake Stand

A cupcake is a small cake designed to serve one person, which may be baked in a small thin paper or aluminum cup. As with larger cakes, icing and other cake decorations, such as candy, may be applied. in this application will share you step by step to make cupcake stand for your table party.

1. Turn the largest circle upside down and find the center. Draw a cross intersecting the middle point of the circle. Drill a 1/4″ hole (don’t drill completely through the plywood to avoid holes being seen) 2″ from the outside of the circle on these lines.

2. Screw one of the table legs into each of the holes, this will become your base, flip it over (so that the base is resting on the four legs).

3. Drill 1/4″ hole in the center of the circle, screw another leg into this hole from the top.

4. Center the 18″ circle on top of this leg, attach with screws (do not screw in the center, you’ll need the center point to attach the next table leg).

5. Repeat these steps until you reach the top.

6. The top leg is optional for the top, it isn’t for support.

7. Prime and paint.

Tips :

-This cupcake stand is large. It easily held 5 dozen cupcakes and the back wasn’t full on the bottom layers. Adjust the size of the circles to your needs.

-we are not sure if glue would hold this together, we says no, but I tend to believe in the power of hot glue. If you make yours smaller, it’s worth a shot. Also, look at using lighter materials for the circles. The concept will stay the same.

- We cut the circles out of plywood wee already had, may be able to cut the circles for you to save money.

- we painted mine an off-white color so we could us it in the future, you could embellish with ribbon to customize it for different parties.
