Bartr

Bartr is a free location based, peer to peer mobile application which allows individuals to meet and exchange cash denominated in two different currencies or the same currency. Bartr allows you to forego transaction commissions charged by traditional currency brokerages and meet up with like minded people in your area!

Sitting at the airport lobby or hotel or conference or for that matter anywhere with currency you don't need. Use Bartr as it connects people and lets them decide on what exchange rate they would like to change currency and only giving guidance on where the spot market is quoted.

This is how it works:

- Input the currency you have (e.g. USD) and the currency you want (e.g. GBP).
- Bartr will display the current market rate of your selected currencies: GBP vs USD.
- Users can decide to look at various different exchange rate combinations for guidance using the current market spot rate calculator
- The ‘Matches’ screen will show you all the people who have matched your search criteria and sort them by distance and rating
- Bartr allows you to chat with each of your matches and understand each others currency needs.
- Every chat window has an interactive map and displays your location and a mid point between you and the other user. The interactive map further allows you to set a meeting point with your match at a location of your choice and provides the fastest route to that meeting point.
- Meet your match and exchange cash!

- Bartr also allows users to get rid of change or get change in the same currency
