About IBM Mobile Systems Remote
IBM Mobile Systems Remote (IBM Remote) is an application that allows system administrators to monitor and manage IBM BladeCenters along with their installed blades and components, System x rack mounted systems, or zEnterprise ensembles and CPCs.
Machines can be added to a list kept on the mobile device simply by specifying the hostname of the management module along with the user credentials (userid and password). Once this information is entered, the app will connect to those systems and provide an intuitive, drill-down user interface used to monitor their health and configuration. The app can also be used to perform some management functions such as:
Powering systems on/off
Clearing the event logs
Changing ownership of the KVM or Media Tray
Toggling the system locator lights
Mobile security is a primary concern with business applications. All machine credentials are kept in a secur data store. The app also requires the user to specify an application password on startup. This password is used to avoid unintended access to your machines and as a confirmation step for any significant action that will alter your machines.

Looks good but I can't get it to work and your support site is down! I point it at the IMM IP, using port 80 (it validates both settings OK), but it doesn't like the login details - I'm using the stock USERID account. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Brilliant idea, poorly executed. After installing this app I found the functionality great, although I was concerned about the ease at which you can turn off blades. My concerns were validated when I rebooted a blade from the app while doing some testing, and then a few worlds later, I logged in to check the health of the blade center and as soon as I accessed the app, it shut down the same blade from testing a few weeks earlier. USE WITH EXTREME CAUTION!

Well, the app asks you for the password before powering down a blade or chassis. So it is not that dangerous after all. We will be looking into your issue though to make sure that spurious power cycle events are in fact impossible, as I would assume it right now.
