Texpand Pro - Text Shortcuts

Installed Texpand free June 2017, used it and saw it could replace an Android app I've used daily since 2011 (that app is saved phrases but doesnt hook into text entry like Texpand). Been on Texpand Pro since and literally use daily. Great job dev!

Text expand functionality is fine. Paid for the app for Tasker support but its pathetic. There should have been a way to fire a Tasker event based on a keyword, which is not there. What is there is a bad implementation which fires a Tasker event at every character typed or any other keyboard interaction. It runs so often that any time this plugin is used, the Run log will be flooded with Textpand Pro event profiles. Can't be good for speed and battery of the phone. This should have triggered on the completion of word.

Would give more stars but Still waiting for response and update from developer, Nice app and good integration with all apps. But please integrate it in email apps like Blackberry Hub too... Missing it in email apps. Wish developer would respond to mails too... Written many times for email integration...

This works sometimes, but it fails to fill in many apps. I understand why this might be. But it would be nice if it would let you copy and paste a shortcut that it isn't able to automatically fill in.

I was searching for this type app long time finally got what I want very useful because I saved my address, account no for neft, same explanations etc. now no need to type just use shortcut of this app Thanks for creating this app

Please allow 1 letter shortcut. I usually type R on Google keyboard and it auto completes it to ARE. Unfortunately Textpand doesnt let you do that which sucks as I want to use it on swiftkey

Not working. Excluded from app optimisation and still the same. Sync across devices is a must. Kindly update ASAP.

Doesn't work in most fields, such as entering your email for subscriptions or entering contests..

Great way to save a lot of typing of repeated phrases. Would be nice if I can sync the data across my devices easily.

Good. I use text shortcuts on my pc and use them a lot. Happy to use them on my phone now. Good implement as well by the developer. I think text shortcuts are even more helpful on phone.

Saves me many taps/key strokes on both my tablet & phone. I use it many times a day. If a 6th star were available, I'd select that for the rating.

Apps like this should be standard on all mobile devices. Its worth the purchase.

I wanted an app that would allow me to input emojis into any other app & Texpand was the answer. It can be deactivated for specific apps as well. Though this app isn't targeted specifically at emoji support, it works perfectly. I just set up the emoji characters I want to use & the shortcut word(s). It also supports backing up directly to Google Drive. So restoring your shortcut list to a fresh install or new device is easy. The price is fair for the pro version & definitely worth paying for. ☺️

Great concept and nicely done app, worked like a charm on my previous device (LG G2). However, since I moved to Xiaomi Redmi 3S, the app loses the accessibility option as soon as it's cleared from the memory, and generally hardly ever works. I disabled battery optimization for it, I allowed it to run in background, I set the memory management to a less aggressive mode, but nothing seems to solve the problem, so I conclude I must be the problem of the app, not the device. Buying the pro version only made it worse. I'll happily give you 5 stars once the app is made actually usable.

I usually don't have the time to review the apps I use but this one has freed up so much time that it's only fair I spend some of it singing its praises. It just works. Ever since the days of BlackBerry where this functionality was built-in, I've been searching for something that comes even close to replicating it's utility. Needless to say, I hadn't found anything until now. Truthfully, I would have paid more. Kudos to the developer. Keep on with the great updates.

I love the concept and execution of the app. As I used it more, I emailed the developer couple of times with some questions, enhancement suggestions and bug reports. That was probably 3-4 months back. But till date I haven't received an acknowledgement of those emails. So looks like the developer is not willing to interact with his app users (even paid app users).
