A note on battery:
We've spent years developing the location technology that powers Foursquare City Guide, making it extremely power efficient. But, as with all apps of this type, please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
App tries to do too much. There is a lot involved and I got mixed up a few times trying to remember how I arrived at a review. Lots of good content and accurate info, but it might benefit the app to scale back, or change up the appearance maybe
As a software Quality Assurance engineer, I am impressed with this app. Foursquare and Swarm are both very quick and responsive on my phone, which is a very rare find because my phone is bogged down due to being overloaded with many different apps. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the functionality of the two apps are no longer integrated. Dear Foursquare, I'd like to work for you and provide assistance with the QA of this app to continue maintaining and improving its resounding quality!
I enjoy reading what others have to say about the places they check-in to. Be it positive or negative, curiosity can sometimes make you want to check out the place anyway! The "taste" feature is useful for more personal recommendations. I started using this app enjoying earning points and monitoring the leaderboard with my friends, but it became more exciting to share tips, help others, and know how much they appreciate the help you give. Adding "tags" made photo uploads slightly more interesting. :)
I remember when Foursquare was the one and only app that could give us tips. Then it got stuck in time. The navigation is limited and the tips are out of date.
It's useful but a terrible design, that makes no sense and will frustrate a saint. Trip Advisor is 100x better but doesn't cover the same things
So much better than the cluttered and negative mess that is Yelp. Easy to find stuff, save stuff. But I can't get a profile photo to upload.
It got worse after swarm was created. Now it gives you just one point if you don't apply stickers. This is a joke!
I only wish it were more responsive when you try to edit locations, especially if you're trying to update then.
Really helpful apps to discover new place. Once you get used to this apps, its no longer a complicated apps
I started using it while on a trip to Myanmar and now I just refer to it everywhere I go. Great usability and food recommendation
I have a Note 5 and I received the error message again so I uninstalled it.
It's best app for who dnt knw hotel or any kind of eatery at new places & also who is gastronome wants to try delicious food at new eating places for that this is the A1 app.
Everything is good BUT please add a note that the place is halal or not based on visitor.
Much better alternative to Yelp. Lots to discover and explore through Foursquare
The CSC's volume has increased dramatically. There are not enough weight machines to accommodate members. Conflicts arise due to the shortage of weight equipment.
C'mon. Where is the option to work offline? Even Google maps supports offline mode. Fix it and I'll give five stars!
Without a doubt, Foursquare is the smartest service for discovering, searching, and learning about your city.
I used it back in days i had iphone like 4 years ago it really improved by now 5/5
Can you ever get hungry with this app? Nah
It is a handy reference for good places even in new neighbourhoods & cities. User tips and ratings are very helpful as well

Spam emails about Dr Oz show? I'm not a fan of either. No thanks
Easy to locate good place to go.
I cannot seem to upload photos anymore. Any photos I upload stay gray regardless of whether I refresh later. Happens on mobile data and Wi-Fi
One of the best apps I've used in my life and I have used a lot of apps.
It crashes when I log in
