Akita - Japanese Dictionary

This dictionary is great. It has many, many practical Japanese definitions, expressions, and slang other Japanese dictionary apps don't. Even swear words! Highly recommended.

Its a great app. But can you add romaji reading for on/kun in there?

It's nice to know what those japanese words actually mean. Some suggestion: English to Japanese. When we type english word, it can be translated to japanese (which we can read. For example : Cute - kawaii. Instead of Japanese characters.) Oh by the way, some words are inaccurate? But overall it's good. You can learn nihongo.

Simple but very ogranized. It does what it says as dictionary. Just for the sake of improvement, and if it does not ruin simple organization, I would love to see some practice elements - possible suggestions would be 1) short passages or sentences in Japanese, perhaps in a separate folder; 2) past jlpt questions also perhaps in a separate folder so it does not interrupt other folders; they and the answers are pulicly available; would be good to include full tests (listening, grammar, reading, vocab.).

not bad

This is probably the best overall app I've found for Japanese study. There are only 2 things that are problems for me. 1) For some reason Akita interferes with the Default Launcher settings causing my phone to constantly ask about selecting a launcher. 2) If only this dictionary had an Examples function like several other dictionaries, showing the word in a typical Japanese sentence. These two things addressed, I'd need no other. In particular I had to uninstall because of Launcher issue. Please fix!

Make student learn more easy

The best. Featured with any option needed. No rival in Japanese dictionaries.

Takes too much space. Doesn't support sentences translation. Nice view tho.

Simple yet Effective

I really loved it. It is easy and fast to navigate through the app.

I've long been waiting for an app that integrates dictionary and aozora bunko reading material. Even in testing mode, I can see it will grow into a great app. If you can make it highlite the exact kanji, that would be great. Aside from that, this is a very good app for studying japanese. Cheers

I like how this app provides features not available in other dictionary apps such as the online library and a nice view showing JLPT kanji by level. Good work.

Every time I hit home it would ask me what home launcher I would like to use. This application caused the problem. Would reinstall if this was fixed.
