This is a super slow app. It doesn't located me on the map and crashed every 3 minutes. . Useless

I installed this app on a Google Nexus (2013) tablet, which has a Quad-core processor, and even then, the app seems to be slow and heavy on the tablet. The maps are among the best available in Google Play, but like other reviewers pointed out, the app keeps crashing all the time for no apparent reason. When this happens, I usually restart the app and it will work fine for a while, then crash again.

Purchased and tried to use it when driving from Santo Domingo to Samana. App constantly crashes, cannot locate me on the map. In the same conditions, Google maps and Waze worked perfectly (but I obviously had to pay for data connectivity). I was using Nexus 4 phone and Nexus 7 tablet.

I travel to the DR a couple times a year. I was sick of brining my GPS device, laptop and now I have a Google Nexus 7 tablet. Too many devices! I left my GPS device at home. I was thrilled to buy and use this Dominican Republic GPS map on my Android device. This time around, my wife and I drove through and to Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Playa del Macao, Eastern National Park, Altos de Chavon and Samaná Peninsula. The trip was very enjoyable due to this GPS app. My wife did not have to ask me to stop and ask for directions once! (Funny... apps are saving marriages now!) The GPS app gave us clear and accurate turn by turn directions. I have to say this is one of the better apps I have downloaded from Google Play - especially for the price! Good GPS App.
