Wahguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahguru Ji Ki Fateh!
Sikh Rehat Maryada Nitnem is a collaboration of Nitnem (as per Sikh Rehat Maryada from Sri Akal Takhat Sahib) and other Banis' that were designated to be read by Sikhs every day. This app is based on Vishrams and Shudh Ucharan from Sikh Missionary College Chauntan Kalan Gutka sahib. The banis' contain orange color vishram with extra spacing to show where to take a brief pause during recital.
Gurbani Vyakarn is very important for Sikhs and utmost importance should be given to ucharan and vishram during recital. Guru Arjun Patshah has given respect to Bhai Gurdas Ji's bani by saying that its the key to opening the treasure of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Bhai Gurdas Ji's Kabit shows the importance of shudh Ucharan.
ਜੈਸੇ ਲਗ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਹੀਨ, ਪੜਤ ਅਉਰ ਕਉ ਅਉਰ, ਪਿਤਾ ਪੂਤ ਪੂਤ ਪਿਤਾ, ਸਮਸਰਿ ਜਾਨੀਐ ||
If all the characters (ਲਗ) in a word are not properly pronounced, the word loses its literal meaning. It’s like calling a father the son, or a son the father.
ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਨਿ ਤਿਲ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਨਮੋ ਨਮੋ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦਰਸ ਸਬਦ ਸ੍ਰੋਤ ਕੈ||
The praise of viewing and visualizing (ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦਰਸ) Bani and hearing it with your ears (ਸ੍ਰੋਤ) cannot be written down.
FEATURES:

✔ Page wise Bani structure including knowing how many pages are there per bani.
✔ Every page has the correct Ucharan (pronunciation) that can be accessed by swiping up with one finger. Touching anywhere in the page, or swiping down will hide it again.
✔ Jump amongst pages using the page viewer, as well as go to the first or last page with one click
✔ View banis in full screen without the navigation or status bar taking precious real estate away. Perfect for casting/screen mirroring on the big screen (TV) in a guruduara setting.
✔ Keep screen awake while reading the Banis (turn on in Settings).
✔ Choose amongst various gurmukhi fonts to your liking.

Love your app. Hope you can compile all our daily Nitnem especially the morning 5 Bania Nitnem in one menu or group. Please add Ardas into the list too. My humble request if you can add an extra option to choose to read the meanings in Punjabi as well. Adding accurate and authentic meaning would be really great. Thank you very much and keep up this great Sewa to make this app even better.
