Had been using the free version happily for the last couple months with no problem. Paid for this to support the developer, and now it won't work at all. Repeatedly asks me to enable it (even though I don't turn off my device) every backup of every app gives me an error message, and reinstalling the app on my device and desktop made no difference. What had been a great app is now completely useless

It is able to backup & restore app data of my apps without root permission (The app is only one of its kind). I just need to connect & disconnect with PC over USB once after device reboot. As I rarely reboot my devices, it's not a big sacrifice for such a big feature. What I loved most: App Data sync across devices. Superb work, man!

Does a great job backing up to the cloud but could only get Drop Box to work with it. Would rather have used Google or have gone device to device via Wi Fi. While the software offers a sync function between devices it would not work between my LG G3 and my Samsung Note 3.

Really good. I like the intetface quite a bit . Its relatively simple to setup but alot of steps . It would be nice have a clearer idea what it is doing .The first time I tried it said "banking" all night I cancelled in the morning. Im not sure what it was doing but it wasnt using any data on my moble or through my router it worked fine aftrer that.

I am very experienced with computers and phones being a service tech, This app just does not work. It managed to make a backup(So it said) It took me 3 hours to get restore to run. The Cloud method is the only one that actually connects. When it was done "restoring" NONE of my old apps were on the new phone..

Excellent and fast app that easily does backups of the data that Google doesn't. Doesn't require root to accomplish this! I'm not sure why this app has gotten so many negative reviews as I have been using it for years with many different devices. In addition to backing up data locally and to Google Drive I also use this excellent app to sync data between my Samsung S6 and my Samsung Tab S2.

Galaxy Note 4 --> Galaxy Note 5. Needed to transfer a few apps to my new phone l that do not have cloud sync or a way to backup the data workout root. Since the AT&T Note 4 and Note 5 cannot be rooted, without this app, I would have lost all of my data between the phones. Transferred via Dropbox and this app flawlessly. Thank you! !!

Bought this to back up my apps contacts text pics ect. While i updated my cell and it does not work as intended at all it confirmed all my saved files but when i went to restore yup i guessed it nothing could not find the files great lost important text pics and other great stuff thanks to this amazing app. Great potential but fails miserably to deliver.

The only decent app I've found that backups actual appdata without root access. It supports a lot of different options for saving your data. The pc activation is just a limitation of Android so I don't really care. Used it several times now to start fresh on both my nexus as cm12 device. On both devices it hasn't made a single error yet. Really satisfied, recommend buying the pro version

There are some apps like whatsapp and netflix that do not work with this app. Not the fault of the developer i know but it would be better if we knew that before getting to the backup screen. Truth be told i only really downloaded thos app to save my whatsapp messages. However, the apps that it is compatible with, it transfers over without too much of a problem

Moved data from one Galaxy Nexus to another, as well as to a OnePlus One. OPO requires the following changes to the Helium instructions: #1. install Helium Backup extension to the Chrome browser on Windows 7 desktop, then connect Android devices to PC via USB data cable. #2. Install the Samsung adb Drivers from the Helium website onto Windows 7 to provide USB support for the OPO.

Easiest backup app i have ever used. Definitely worth the upgrade. Only complaint is it couldn't back up some of my apps. It said it was because the app developers wouldn't allow backups, but Titanium handled them without issue so I don't know. Without a doubt the best no root option though.

Completely worth the price. Enabled me to transfer to a new phone, whilst taking my apps with me. Normally I go for just downloading them all again, but the facility to transfer all the app data is amazing. Kept all my game progress, and login details for others. For non rooted, you need a computer on hand to enable it, but that's a limitation on android, so I have no beef with that.

Wanted it to automatically backup my preferences at midnight every night. However, on my S7 using a wireless charger, it won't do so because it says that the phone is not charging because it's actually fully charged. I can turn off the "backup only while charging" but then that will back up even if the battery is low. It also offers to remember a group of apps for which I want to backup preferences but then there is no way of automatically recalling this for the backup.

Google's "automatic backup" of app data works about half the time for me. In the past helium backup worked consistently. But now, it works about half the time. The whole magic autofill of desktop password seems mostly broken, and it seems like pop-up dialogs are often hidden behind done other screen. It still kind-of works though.

I love this app. Backed up my game saves and was able to transfer them to my new device - all without root access. Update: Something has broken with backup to google drive. It says that the backups are successful, but the files on google drive are not getting replaced with updated versions. The dates on the files are not changing. Is this a new bug? My last successful updates to google drive were on June 22, 2014. Looks like the latest update fixes google drive issues.

Yes...Pun intended. Just picked up a new Galaxy Tab 4. Never one for rooting, I just plugged it into my computer once and started restoring from my Note 3. And still works with my old Motorola Xoom. Definitely worth paying for Premium version.

Backup app data without root. One limitation is it backs up ALL data for an app. This is an issue where, e.g. an app itself is 25mb, but requires an additional 200mb of download - common for games. Say you just want to backup your save files, even if the save file is just a few kb, you have to backup the other downloaded 200mb as well.

I was getting a new phone when I needed to save some data from my games but nothing would allow it. I even needed it for Subway Surfers which is a game that does not have cloud save so I wanted to save my high scores. I got this app and it really helped. The only con is that you need to connect it to your computer everytime you need to use it.

Y70%

This app is a lifesaver. You can backup the data and/or the app of what you have installed on your phone. It takes careful installation and it doesn't work on all phones. So read the information about the app and try the free version first. Their support is fantastic too. My question was answered in 4 hours. It doesn't get much better.

I absolutely love the cloud backup and restore with premium however I do have some recommendations (1) Doesnt backup apps samsung bundles part of the rom Please resolve.(2) I really wish there is a way to backup account & settings. (3) Also i cannot restore or backup to & from SD directly. (4) ability to save helium app groups (I flash my device frequently & I don't want to reconfigure app groups everytime). I thank the developer as I'm closer to stress free android backup without root

Y70%
by Y####:

This app works great, my only wish is that backup groups on one device could be seen by another device for faster selection and restoration process, other than that I love it! Also, not all of my apps get their data restored using helium no matter what method (SD card or cloud) will change back to five stars when this is fixed.

I bought this app for one reason only: to transfer my save files of Final Fantasy (3, 4, 5) from my HTC One S to my new Nexus 5 without root access. It worked perfectly and easily. Took less than 10 minutes. Great job to the devs! P.S. Shame on SquareEnix for not allowing file sync or cloud storage for their apps. It results in users having to resort to other options.

I had been using the free version without any issues. But because it's saved me so many times, it was only fair to spend the few dollars to support it and purchase it. Thanks for an awesome app! Would be good if you could add features like T.B to freeze apps ;) then it would be the ultimate. Unfortunately you cannot delete backups from your cloud like Google drive .. Loses a star for me.

Got it to transfer from my rooted galaxy s ii on kit Kat, to my note 3 on lollipop. It worked great. I think it was able to transfer all the things I needed. Thanks a lot! EDIT: the only thing it didn't move across, as far as I can see, we're my Kindle books. But it did transfer the settings so I just had to download some books.

Fantastic app. Came across it when one of my games would no longer load on my Nexus 7 1st generation and I was desperate to save my game achievements before moving it to my new Nexus phone. It did the job and there is no need to root your device. The premium price is well worth it and will pay for itself in no time. All in all I'm very happy with it!

Required closing with task manager and restarting many times to effectuate transfer over wifi between devices. Couldn't get copy to p.c. to work. Didn't allow selection of backup directory or placement on ext. SD card. Excludes several downloaded apps for some reason. Will give it a + for copying app data.

Y70%
by Y####:

1. Please add support for Copy, the best cloud storage option. 2. Whenever I try and backup all my apps to Box, it constantly crashes and gives me errors 3. There's needs to be a quick setting for backing up all your apps to the cloud. Making a scheduled backup is nice, but it seems to be limited by the apps I have installed at the time of creating the scheduled backup. What happens if I create a scheduled backup for all my current apps today, and then tomorrow download a new app. Helium won't back it up.

I always wanted to back up my games app data, and hated to lose all the data and start over again. With this app not only back up game data, it back up pictures, messages etc. The best thing is that you don't need to use your personal storage for back up it use you cloud storage of preference. I use Google drive. Any way love it, love it. I have an idea for the future, create something that we can use multiple accounts (Family) up to 3 accounts.

How many times does this app expect me to verify? With Nexus 5 I can't verify in windows. Seriously make something that easy to use by the end user. After enabling this is the best backup app I've come across for android, until you have to do it all over again. Grrrr!

I have issues with the drivers available. Android yes, but not popular brands as Samsung, Sony, etc. These brands already have their own backup systems. The reason for choosing to pay for this app, is simple. In my case I have a Caterpillar S50 and a Hisense S20 King Kong 2. So I'm left alone again for not being a mainstream consumer. Sorry, but I have to ask for a refund till you can give me a solution to my needs.

It has just enough features to be useful without getting overly complex, and the cloud sync is wonderful. Haven't had much luck with Google Drive but Box works a treat! Working both rooted and not is also very nice.

Once it has connected and the app functions on your phone, it works! I don't know why but I also had a lot of trouble getting it to that part but I worked! I checked a few games by playing the game before the save data, and then doing the sync. And yes it was able to get the game right back where I was on a different phone! This is awesome!!

Not working after even I bought the premium version to backup on google drive. Do not see backup made from galaxy s2 root android 5.1 to galaxy s4 no root android 5.0. It seems that I am not alone with these problems. I can see the backup only if I try to restore in the same phone. Not able to restore even from local and sd card.

I've used this on several different devices and versions of Android. It's always performed as promised and has done so on both rooted and non rooted devices. I purchased the "pro"version and it was worth every penny. I used titanium backup before this, and still do for some features this one doesn't have, however, for me, it's much quicker and easier to do the app and app data backups with Helium. ***Moving from a GS3 to a Galaxy Note 3 recently was easy and simple thanks to Helium.***

Tried to recently backup game data (past successful backup was about 45 days ago) and nothing happened. It would say backup in progress but it doesn't work anymore. Please fix. This has been the only backup app that I've found so far that works for me and I really don't want to look for another app. (Samsung galaxy note 4 - tmobile)

sadly i had to install this fondle with it a little just to get it to verify and restore from an old backup on google drive. heads up after installing this. force stop the free version to make abosolutly sure it has shut off. then reload it so it will see the premuim.

I got the paid version to do some batch backup and restore, but the last thing I thought I would have to do after backing up was having to go to the playstore and manually download every single app one at a time, just to be able to restore my data, what a pain, after years of rooted phones, having a locked phone without any root as of now can't do simple Titanium backup/restore, or something like it.

This app has saved me many times now. I know my data is backed up and safe. I can't even count the amount of hours it has saved me. It's so simple it's genius!

if only sometimes would communicate troubles better: like the fact that app is being updated or uses its data atm, insteqdvof hanging in the middle of the process. But it's worth it :)
