This app is life changing. My Samsung skyrocketed would usually die around 5 PM after being charged all night. With the free app it lasted much longer, so u bought the ultimate version and now my phone lasts 24 hours and more. It is like buying a spare battery for 5$

Downloaded it about a week ago. Before I would never be able to go out for the day without having to top up the charge. Now I can confidently give my phone one charge at night and let that be it! Love it. Best battery saving app. Essential for any smartphone, even if you can get a full day out of your battery already. Thinking about upgrading to Plus for even more power.

JD is by far the most advanced battery saver out there right now. But the UI is starting to show it's age. With the help of a better interface and perhaps some better written descriptions of the various functions it could be a lot better. The real reason I stopped using JD was the fact that it was USING more battery than it saving me. After installing Better Battery Stats you can clearly see that it is consistently waking the phone up in upwards of 1000+ times a day in my case.

Really does what it says it increased my battery a lot and it made my phone last for 2 days in a row without being in the plug!!!! If you haven't download it dont think about it twice just do it and you will see results in 48 hours best app ever!!!! Just go to the settings and select the aggressive option and select accept/okay and enjoy. In some phones you might have to put mobile data fix if you have limited data and unlimited. But first try it without messing with it. Just use the aggressive option 72hrs

I just bought my Skyrocket and my battery was completely gone in 5 hours without hardly using the phone. I'd used app killers and saw very little difference. I was ready to return my phone when I read about Juice Defender and installed it. From the first day it improved my battery life almost 4 times more. Now at 8 pm I still have over 30% of my battery left. Don't hesitate, download it now.

I have never found an app that works so well at controlling my battery consumption! As we all know, smartphones consume a lot of battery power, especially if you like to actually use the features of your phone. And I like to use everything and all of the time! This app does a remarkable job of managing my downtime and maximizing my battery life! I love having the freedom of not having to remember to turn off wifi or Bluetooth. I can even leave GPS on without worrying. I highly recommend it!!!

My gnex never lasted for more than 11 hours even on standby. Now I easily get 36 hours. Earlier I wasn't sure about getting any battery life extending apps. But this one doesn't really fiddle with the H/w rather gets rid of unnecessary bg apps. I would recommend this app to anybody looking for optimum battery performance from their devices.

I've used this app since 2011. Amazing functions, very user friendly, developer options and root options, and gave me about 1.5x normal batter life. (Sometimes up to 2.3 depending on usage) but unfortunately, it's not compatible with the S6 edge. Which sucks. A lot. So if you have a lower android platform, this will save you battery if you stay off your phone.

I've been using Android since the beginning, never thought I'd need this until now -- Galaxy S2 chews through battery like nothing I've seen. After half a day with Defender I'm already seeing a noticeable difference -- only about 20% down after biking with GPS, bluetooth and mp3 running, an activity that used to just about kill an almost full charge. Incredible!

I have been using this application since I got my HTC one x about a month ago and loved this app, considering it a must have. Now I find the application causes my phone to drain battery while plugged in to AC power. I uninstalled and the issue was resolved. Reinstalled and the issue came back. Have since switched to JuiceDefender. Please fix bug so I can use your great app again.

Ultimate version rocks! Works perfectly on my LG 9 and my Acer A500! Moderate phone useage gives me a full three days and with light use even better (been on now for 1 day 22 hours and still has 72% capacity). The tablet, which is supposed to only have an 8 hour battery will last all day with moderate to heavy use! Love it, wouldn't trade it!

T70%
by T####:

By far the best power management I have used so far. I especially like the wifi hotspot on/off settings (and it allows me to tweak the area range, without enabling the power-hog GPS). Well worth its price of the full version. Best if you root your phone to allow some of the more refine settings. Small details do make a difference.

Samsung Galaxy S3 went from 6hrs battery life to lasting all day. Increased battery life 2.32x! Turned off phone's auto brightness, set display to zero, then set JD so it adjusts brightness. Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Still working well. Keeps aggressive apps from killing my battery. UI helps me know what each setting does and if I need to use them.

I have tried every task killer/manager out there. Along with hrs spent learning how to close all background & system apps that constantly run. This app IS NOT A TASK KILLER but is much better at controlling all the apps & the constant stream of data & sticky broadcasts. By doing this & explaining quite clearly how to use it totally transforms your phone & stock & background processes. Plus it instantly makes battery LAST LONGER on simplest of settings. ALMOST DOUBE DAILY BATTERY POWER. BEST APP EVER 10*

M70%
by M####:

I went from my previous best minimal usage runtime of 40hrs to 50hrs after installing this app. That's just using the default balanced setting. It's great for extending battery life during idle/sleep time. Doesn't really help when the screen is on when you're doing stuff with it, then again nothing short of a high capacity battery can extend screen runtime. The best part is that it's free!

Juice Defender simply works. Upgrading to Ultimate was an awesome choice for me because it gave me way more control and way better battery life. I had a 1.35x battery life with Balanced and I know get 2.38x with my custom settings. I was skeptical at first, but I am now convinced. Pros: - Increased battery life - Easy to Use Cons: - Have to wait for data connection when turning on phone (takes about 5 seconds for me) - Updates from Facebook, Twitter, Email, etc do not come in right away

M70%
by M####:

i am always connected to the internet via LTE Mobile Data. Thus battery life is eaten up by it. using juicedefender, it really helps extend my phone's battery life if i dont open my unit often. by controlling and scheduling when internet connectivity must be activated. Balance profile already gives me significant savings and significantly longer charging intervals

I have a mytouch 4g and my battery life is very short, after installing the app my phone can literally last all day. I only have to charge it over night and my day starts at 5am to 10pm and my battery is still green, not even yellow! It is great bc I can still use media apps too wo slowing ir down or killing battery life.

Just great saving my battery in galaxy tab 2. I can get my tab stay alive for the whole day with normal use. Before using this it only last for 6 to 7 hours. But when you play games or other activity, it will help you no more... trust me. It not gonna save your battery when you play games alot haha.

A great app, if you want to squeeze max out of your battery. My battery stats improved significantly over the past 3 days, so i decided to buy the JD Plus, since i wanted to tweak around with some apps. Sadly, it didn't work!! Though i enabled some apps, to be connected even after the screen is off, the software shut these apps down anyways. Probably you are good without the plus version, as its not working out!!

M70%
by M####:

Downloaded the free version about a week ago. Battery used to be almost dead after 12 hours of idle time with only a little data use here and there. Now after the same amount of time I still have 70%! I have only used balanced mode so it could improve my battery life even more if I changed the settings. Definitely a thumbs up!

I wasn't expecting a lot from this, but for a free app it's great. JuiceDefender has saved me a lot on battery life, so I thought I should return the favor by rating it. It's great for when you didn't charge your phone because you thought it had enough juice and the next day when you look at the battery find out you were wrong. It gets a few more hours out of it.

M70%
by M####:

It's a great app. I've had this on the Samsung Galaxy Samsung S then the S 2 and 3 now the Note 3. And on all devices I was getting 20 hours on aggressive setting. And that's with normal to heavy use. So yeah it is good. But there's still room for improvement. But other than that it is good if you're looking for longer battery life as simple as that.

M70%
by M####:

It does save my battery and does it very well. The downside is that it severely limits the overall experience of the phone. Mms don't send without turning it off and I have all data enabled but it still wont send. Goes right through when the App is killed though. The applications that require data don't work as fast with juice defender enabled. I like the App but I wish I didn't have to sacrifice the performance of my phone, galaxy s2.

M70%
by M####:

If you're looking for an app that is going to manage your apps, than this is not the app for you. Most battery consumption comes from your display, Bluetooth and data or WiFi connection. Juice defender is that kind of utility. With ultimate you can configure apps. You can set data or Wi-Fi to connect for certain apps, and you can set data and Wi-Fi to disconnect for other data hungry apps. Of all other battery utilities, this one doesn't touch your apps, and still saves more juice than the rest!!

M70%
by M####:

The basic mode in the few version has a trick for saving battery. It switches off 3G while the phone is not being used and turns it on every time you unlock the phone. And this does wonders to the battery life. The pro version has some additional features like location based auromatic Wi-Fi access. So basically, a must have app if you are not in the habit of using 3G data continuously, and are okay with periodic data sync.

This has been my favorite battery saving app for years now, ever since gingerbread was the latest version of the Android OS. I've tried other top rated apps but I always end up coming back to this one because of its low profile/footprint and superior performance. Perhaps it's because it was originally designed at a time when Android ate cell phone batteries for breakfast. Either way you can't go wrong with it no matter what kind of cell phone you're using. Even older/cheaper phones can benefit from it.

Galaxy Skyrocket rooted, stock rom. JD (paid version) has at least doubled my available battery. With light use such as a couple phone calls, some minimal web browsing, a half dozen photos, etc...I have gotten as much as 22 hours on a charge with 15% still remaining. With heavier use I have gotten well over 14 hours. Great app, worth every penny.

M70%
by M####:

Out of all the apps I been through, this one is best . I like the setting that allows you to go from balanced to aggressive. Aggressive mode goes to extreme at about 15 percent (you can set at what percentage you want )It shuts down background processes unless otherwise told not. I been on 20, maybe 15 percent of battery before and have had my battery last nearly half the day and that's with general texting, calling and slight web surfing . Anyways I'm happy with it.

M70%
by M####:

Pretty good for the money! Doesn't expand your power but a crazy amount. But it does turn off your radios when not in use. That is a double edged sword. If you use apps that are always on dependent, like Skype for example, it will cause them to disconnect when the screen is turned off. However, they come right back when the screen is turned on. If this is ok, then this app will be a good friend of yours.

I love Juice Defender. I had other android apps that claimed to help me save battery life but they all failed. Some didn't even give accurate battery levels. My HTC EVO 4G drains even when I'm not using it. But with Juice Defender I can use my phone all day and the battery still has a lot of charge left. This app is ideal for extending your battery life and making sure you get the most out of your phone. It has a lot of great features that help manage battery usage.

I installed this app on my Galaxy S2 and my wife's Impression. Used phones like normal and batteries in each drained faster than ever. My Galaxy wouldn't even make it through an 8 hour shift at work, before I could go 2 days without a charge. The Impression died overnight. Great idea if it wouod have actually worked.

All I have to say is OMG. Finally I'm not a slave to the charger. Love the Samsung s3 but was always charging it. Since I got juice. Phone now can go a full day and a half On one charge with heavy surfing. Fb Twitter Istagram web podcasts Pandora Whatever and my battery lasts. Was gonna take the phone back until I found this little jewel. Thank u.

I had advanced task killer, but it didn't help my battery at all. I would charge my phone all night and wake up go to school and by 3rd period my phone would be almost dead. But I noticed a big change when I got this, instead of 30% by 3rd period I still had 70%. Awesome app. :)

I bought the Ultimate version of JD and I am happy with it. It does a very decent job keeping my hungry Droid RAZR up extra couple hours. You can easily get through a day with heavy usage and an hour of movie streaming everyday with one full charge. Thanks developers

I've never written a review about an app before, but Juice Defender is such a great app that I had to rate it. Prior to using Juice Defender, I would get around 12 hours of battery life from my SGII Skyrocket. After downloading Juice Defender and setting it to balanced, my phone has lasted for almost 28 hours and I still have 10% battery left. I can't imagine how much better battery life would be using either custom or more aggressive settings. I highly recommend this app.

Initially I was not aware of the importance of battery saving app. When I bought my S4, I just installed the juicedefender as per the rating & best app list and the battery life was good. The day comes when it has shown me the importance of this app. One of my Twitter friend has suggested that the aaa app is good. Hence I uninstalled the juicedefender and installed aaa. Then the battery has started draining like anything. Google play services is keep on running in the background and it is consuming more.

This app can almost double your battery life with the correct settings. The automation and control this app gives you is well worth the $4.99 for the Ultimate version. The free version, however, leaves a lot to be desired. You must have ~at least~ the Plus version to have a good impact. *Update* I hope the developer has not abandoned this project, as most of additional features have been in "not fully tested" for the longest time now.

I think I've had this for about a month. I watch Netflix on the way to and from work and run various programs mostly at lunchtime. Most days my battery is ready to die by 9pm; roughly the same as before installing. I distinctly remember shortly after install "1.30". What determined a baseline for 30% more battery life? Throughout the day, the value typically varies from 1.15 to 1.80. Again, with no training, how is any baseline determined?
