CompTIA Security+ SY0-401 Prep

I used this app in conjunction with his study book and paid web content, Comptia CertMaster, and Professor Messer's videos and labs and passed today on my first attempt. This app was great for "on the go" studying and the explanations were helpful in figuring out why the answers were right and why the others are wrong.

I just want to send my thanks to you and your team for this app. There were several times during the test that remembering the question and flash cards from your app undoubtedly helped me. So yea, Thank You!

I enjoyed using this although it is missing a few key acronyms, and some of them have an explanation saying "it's been replaced". Real definitions should be used. Lastly, if you can actually make the questions random instead of the same order (flash cards and practice questions) that would really make this a solid app.

Great app, does what is supposed to do. Gets you in that exam mentality. I would recommend after reading his book to download this app and practice the questions to see what material you need to review.

Has helped me immensely to prepare for the exam. The practice questions are very helpful and the flash cards really help as well.

I really like the vast number of extensive and in depth questions as compared to other CompTIA Sec + apps and sites.

This is one of the resources I'm using to study for Sec+. | Dropping it down to 4 stars because the mock tests are too repetitive...they randomly use the same 20-25 questions on each test. Please implement a bigger test bank to make this app more challenging. I'd also like to see the Acronyms section organized better...perhaps giving you the option to sort by category or domain.

I waited until I passed the exam to rate (passed on 1st attempt)... Good explanations of answers to understand objectives, Acronym flash cards are very helpful... I wouldn't rely solely on this app but its worth every penny

I'd like to see the mock test questions pulled from a larger pool so I can get some variety, it seems to give me the same questions each time... but I've only had the app for a day

Thanks for creating this app. I did every exercise at least once. I prepped using this app in conjunction with a book, and a practice test engine for Windows. This app filled the gaps not covered in the book. I passed the test on first try with a score of 811. Couldn't have done it without this app! The beauty of a phone app for test prep is you can study wherever you are: on the toilet, in low light, in bed at night, on a bus, on a plane, just like in Green Eggs and Ham, you can study anywhere!

Well worth it. Can't beat being able to study like this on the go, whenever you have the chance. The questions are very good practice (read them in their entirely!)

Alot of recycled questions, all of which are quite easy. There appears to be a small pool of material used to generate the flash cards and test questions. So far it seems a bit overpriced for the amount of content. YMMV based on your level of experience with the material.

Got this app after I failed the sec+ test. It has lots of good information that I did not know the first time I took the test. I believe it will help me be successful when I retake the test.

I was told that I have only 6 weeks to get certified, and have ZERO experience. This app is doing a great job at giving me a base line, crash course.

Waiting to see if this app adequately covers the objectives of the COMPTIA Security + exam. I'm fearful.

Used this a few years ago, and it was a great help. I was surprized to find it was still here when i decided to re-cert.

Useful secondary tool for Sec+ prep, to supplement books, videos, etc. Obviously not an option as the primary tool, but useful for sneaking in study time whenever possible (waiting in a line, break at work, etc.). Passed on my first attempt, and definitely found this app helpful.

Worth the 8 bucks! Consider purchasing this app to supplement your studies but it is NOT a comprehensive guide/tutorial on system security. Rather it is a great tool to refresh and test your knowledge. Overall rating 5 stars for accomplishing it's task thoroughly

This is a good companion app to his book, but there are a lot of overlapping sample questions. That's the only negative.

This is definitely very helpful for studying, but needs more and harder questions, and the fact that it goes to the home if you try to go back is quite annoying.

I used this app to prepare for my exam. It was a great tool to use as I travel alot and can take quick tests here and there to build my knowledge. The flash cards were handy too as it helps for this exam alot because of the large broad knowledge needed for this test.

This was a great tool to help me study! Combined this with my Sec+ book and some videos. Walked away with an 808. It would be even better if you could add matching. Awesome App!

Great for learning the basics and differences between the answers but it turns out it was insufficient... I just failed my security plus test. I've never taken a test with such wretchedly deceptive answers... I studied this app religiously and yet I felt as if almost none of these questions were on the test I took...Could use an acronyms list option that are categorized by topic and some trickier questions.

This is helping me tremendously in my Security+ studies. Worth every penny! My only peeves: Needs more randomness with the questions & more questions about ports.

Just purchased it. I've been using it for one week as a supplement to my other book. So far, I like it. I will let you know after my exam, how well it prepared me for the exam. Wish there was a way to mark questions that I don't know. So I could power study specific questions.

The depth of the flash card system is really impressive. Even better is how simple it is to open and run through a couple cards. When I have a minute or 2 of down time. I just open it and test myself on a few acronyms or policies.

This app helped me score a 844 on my exam! I would highly recommend! The only thing I wish this app had was a place where it held all of your practice test statistics. It would be nice to know what areas I was weak in.

Flash cards and practice exams are useful and informative. Good supplement for studying

There are grammar mistakes and also wrong explanations of acronyms. For example: One of the questions in a mock test explains UTM as unified thread management, while it is supposed to be unified threat management. Don't confuse us.

needs more focus on ports though. Questions are incredibly easy compared to what you'll see on the test.

Best tool i could ever use. Not only tells you why the answer is wrong but why the correct answer fits the question. Very detailed and easy to understand. 3 days of this and passed!

I have to get my security plus cert in 2 weeks to get my 3 level in the Air Force. This app has helped me more than all the book reading combined so far. Highly recommended.
