Really cute app, I haven't used it for very long, but I'm enjoying it so far! :) The only issue I have is that the audio is too loud. I tried to mute it using the buttons in the top right corner, but it didn't work. The audio doesn't seem adjustable (using the phone's volume controls) either. Will rate 5 stars once this is fixed. Other than that, keep up the good work!

So far so good! Really like the option to just have 한글 (helps my reading a lot). Great notes about the grammar which is super helpful and good example sentences. However in the Negation lesson one of the sentences (그것은 일본의 사과가 아닙니다) was translated into "that is not a computer from Japan" when 사과 is apple? Is this a mistake or is it referring to the Apple brand?

So far it's really good! The best I have tried so far. But yes, it would be wise to add a test to determine someone's level (in case someone is unsure), no app I've tried has such a thing yet. Also on "write the sentence" exercise, let us type thrl ugh our keyboard. It would help more. Keep it up!

I find, it only sinks in if you write it. Just rushing through the leason, does not. At first I would screenshot to trace and write the alphabet. Now I've purchased a notebook to write everything else. Even writing each repeatedly, if I feel the need. Having to learn 3 different alphabets for Japanese alone, really puts the brain to work! haha

I almost never write a review for a product, but this is the greatest app for ppl who want and or like to learn languages, especially chn/jpn/kr. But I must say that I need a jump level button. Because it such a waste of time to learn it all over again from the basic. But so far this is the best language app out here.

Right off the bat, I feel this app addresses one of the major shortcomings of Duolingo's mobile app: it has an information section with notes about grammar and the particles. This is crucial for speakers of western languages learning Asian languages as they are hugely different. Don't get me wrong, I love Duolingo, but it's really a problem. I've only done just a tiny amount of the beginning of the Japanese course (Nationality). I've given 4 stars because, from what I've looked up, Japanese is not in fact restricted to an SOV order. Even English has some valid sentences that are not SVO, but it is even more so the case in Japanese because of the subject and object particles, and they can be ordered in any way, the only real rule being that the verb has to come at the end. So from what I understand, OSV would also make perfect sense in Japanese. (I haven't gone far enough to see how さよなら is handled, so may update.)

This app is the best thing to ever happen to me. Currently 40% through the Japanese course and I'm having a blast. I also really like the Studying Tips, they could be right out of a textbook. No ads, no IAPs, just a really good learning experience! Thank you so much for this! There is literally only one thing that I'd love to have changed: For the "Type in the sentence" exercises - please scramble the Hiragana more or let us type in the Hiragana ourselves via keyboard. I feel like they're not scrambled enough. It takes away the effort on my end to arrange the sentence in a grammatically correct order, since the placement of the Hiragana in the roster roughly corresponds to their placement in the sentence. Thanks again! Keep up the good work!

This is THE BEST app ever! It's really engaging and looks really good on top of that! I've been looking for an app like this but haven't found one but until now! I'm very surprised it's free but I'll certainly buy it as well! Well worth your time .

Incredible app!! I've used several other language learning apps and this one impressed me immediately. Simple layout with intuitive controls, a wide variety of problem structures to really test your understanding of the lessons, and and great features to encourage continued daily use. It seems to only have Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, but it's done so well that I'd highly recommend Lingodeer if you're interested in those languages. Maybe we'll see additional languages added if this app continues to gain the praise and recognition it deserves!

Although the selection of languages is quite limited, what is currently available is very high quality. The explanations are in depth and,as far as I can tell, the people in video are native speakers. I would like an option to test to skip ahead though. Otherwise, great!

I loved it, its everything and anything you want to get a head start in learning the Asian languages. Its just love. Very accurate and precise learning and the user interface is great as well. It couldn't be more fun.

Only just started using this app. Presently, it's still too easy for me BUT it has been fun and I think the repetition and the different ways you are required to answer the questions will go a long way to drilling the words into your head. I hope it will continue to be as fun and engaging as it already is.

Very nice Japanese voice to listen to, many good features and overall better compared to certain other apps. Gonna change this review if I encounter some negative aspects

at first I was frustrated at the lack of a placement test and having to start from the beginning, but everything is so well organized that it was very useful review! a good app for studying Asian languages!! very helpful for review and practice and new vocabulary. grammar tips are very helpful at the beginning of lessons. better than duolingo!!

I usually don't write reviews, but so far I'm really liking the app. It's easy to use and pretty cute designed. ☺

A70%

This is very good and helpful! I love the fact that I can opt to do the exercises in 사글 only, which makes it even more difficult, but soon I'll be more used to the characters only. This app is really amazing!!

P70%

Seems good but can't skip lessons, so unless you're a complete beginner you need to spend ages going through things you already know. Boring

This app is so fluffy it makes me want to hug whoever made it... I'm just starting and all the the things I'm learning I already know cause I've been studying Korean for a while now but I guess I'm revising everything haha ... I can't wait to get to new stuff, thank you creator(s) of Lingodeer, you managed to create the dream app, please always keep it like this, I reeeally like it ♡

Great app, too bad it's only available for people who speak English. I'm brazilian and I'd love to learn Japanese using Brazilian Portuguese as first language!!!

A great way to learn japanese It doesn't just teach rote translations but explains grammar and phrases in a helpful manner. I've tested all kinds of japanese learning apps on the play store and this is one of the best ones. It's WAY better than Tako Japanese and Duolingo and it doesn't price gouge like Rosetta Stone

Better than memrise and fluentu in certain ways. Dear developer if you read this I want to let you know that you are helping poor people in third world countries have an opportunity to learn major global languages by combing elements of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and examples- a combination that I have come to find is hard to come by in many apps . I wish I could give you hug as you have managed to make my hunger for learning languages burn again_ in less then 10 minutes I was hooked . >_< Thank you so much <3 Jesus bless you!

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot! This app is perfect. The grammar explanations are super handy and to the point. Awesome job! It would be nice to be able to test out a lesson in case you already know it.

I'm learning korean through this amazing app. After working with several apps ,even the famous ones, this is working for me the best. Thank you so much for such a useful app.

For absolute beginners only. No one else will have the patience to see how far this game goes since you have to progress from level 1. Needs to be labeled as for beginners on the play store or else have an easy way to fast track unlocking levels.

This is one THE best app to learn Japanese after you have a bit of basic knowledge. Having fun revising and all the exercises are to the point, effective and well designed. If you use Memrise....this is Memrise's Big brother who goes to college and your sister has a crush on. BTW I still love memrise and it has its place In the learning process. But dayum this app is good!!!

From Duolingo to lingo deer I see a great difference in my understanding the way the explain each syllable is easy for a child and and other person that has troubles with learning a language each lesson is helpful and I knew just from the start that this would be helpful thank you !

The order in which lessons are taught is very useful. Having learn the terms and then learning sentence structure and now to insert the new terms is an efficient way of teaching a new language (in my opinion). After using LingoDeer for a bit now, I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere with my Korean!

Rarely when I write a review but when I do the app should be perfect , and this case it is .So creative and well designed, plus the explanation is so good and understandable ,also ,the fact that I can download offline courses for free is so encouraging , and I hope it continuous to be free like Khan academy .From now on this is the app I will suggest to all who wants learning Asian languages.

Im rating 5 stars because when it worked it was honestly the best thing. But ever since the update, it won't open which is a little frustrating. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Great app, great design, absolutely free and no hidden charges! Please don't ever change but if you need revenue so badly just put minimal ads like how duolingo does. Blessings & kudos to the makers

It's super easy to use, and you learn fast. I really love that they have notes/rules and summarise what you have learned and how to use it after each lesson, it makes me understand what I have learned and remember it better. I also love that they told me the secret to building a sentence in korean, because that was the hardest part for me.

I love trying apps for learning Japanese especially when it's a game too! Definitely useful to already know the alphabet before playing. Don't think "あなた~" should be used as it is sometimes considered rude. Thanks for such a cute game!
