Not gonna lie, I think this is becoming one of my favorite apps ever. It's simple, clean, tucked away in my notifications and with the click of one button I can turn on the most used hue bulb which is in my room. It's shockingly more useful than I expected and easier to get to than the app on my screen and waiting for the Phillips hue app to open.

Update:- The application has broken for me a number of times in the past and each time the issue has been resolved either with an update or most recently by contacting the developer directly. His insight into the issue was professional, fast and efficient. Turns out the most recent issue I had been suffering was actually due to a faulty Network configuration within my own home! - Overall I would certainly rate this application a 10/10 for simplicity, ease of use and pure practicality. - I would also rate the Dev a 10/10 for his legitimate kindness and willingness to resolve issues that arise. Update:- I have now purchased the Pro Version to support the Dev!

Wow I had another app that kept crashing and it needed a constant notification on going. This one is totally awesome. Can't wait for the pro version, really hope that in the future the pro supports the Hue "out of home" thing for toggling the lights when not on local network.

Brilliant! Exactly what I've been looking for. It still amazes me that Hue lights have been out so long and yet the official Philips app doesn't offer this kind of feature. Good work!

I am very surprised Philips hadn't come out with this already. I love this app! One would be surprised how useful this simple app can be, as the main hue app can be a little bulky. Is there paid version still in the works? Would love to be able to add multiple buttons.

Please allow us to choose battery life vs. not knowing via the tile if the lights are on or off. I'm willing to give up a small amount of battery life in order to know if the lights are on or off. Thanks.

Not sure why, but doesn't work anymore. When entering the settings, the app loads forever and does nothing. Worked before though. Edit: I gave it another try and installed it. It works again!

Works well, but lacking multiple tiles. Also toggeling scences would be nice, but not sure if hue api allows that. Great app though!

D70%
by D####:

Please add a feature to know if the lights are on or off, and maybe add a little disclaimer for 2 second delay. :) Great app! :D

Great execution. Much snappier than the hue app as well! I second the request of adding some fine tuning to the long press.

D70%

Icon appears constantly on, why is it not an outline when lights off like the rest of quick settings?

D70%
by D####:

This is a great app, and almost exactly what I was looking for. It would be perfect, if you could have multiple tiles for different groups of lights.

I downloaded this, tested it out, then immediately came here to rate it five stars. This is so good, and it's easy to set up. Well done

Me standing in front of my dark front door shouting "OK Google, turn on entrance lights" just became a lot less awkward for the neighbors. ^^

D70%
by D####:

I love this very fast switching on/off my lights. I think you must find a way to work also seperate on each lamp. Thank you for your free app

S70%
by S####:

Super clean and useful app! Easy to access but out of the way when you don't need it! It just works! It'd be nice if it showed the status of the light, but functionally that's not really important!

D70%
by D####:

just perfect app. not sure if slider is a possibility, but would be great! as well as multiple sets up.

D70%
by D####:

Only thing missing from a perfect 5 star app is having the icon reflect the on/off state. Currently the icon is always "on". Great job and keep up the great work!

D70%
by D####:

Amazing app, does exactly what it says on the tin. Could do with a few extra features such as groups and perhaps scenes in a pro mode. Would be worth paying for. Being able to customise the tile name would be awesome

D70%
by D####:

This app is super useful but I do wish you would add the ability to add more than on quick tile. I'm even willing to pay to add more tiles.

D70%
by D####:

too slow. takes 3-4sec sometimes even longer to toggle light state. deinstalled.

D70%
by D####:

This does the one thing the actual Hue Dimmer Switch is supposed to do out the box, but doesn't. This app fixes that. Thank you!

D70%
by D####:

Near Perfect! Just a few suggestions: Would be great if you could change the icon state depending on when off and on, also long press with more options and multiple tiles for different rooms, thanks

D70%
by D####:

I cannot adjust colour or intensity and the light is barely visible. This app promises but doesn't deliver. Sad.

P70%
by P####:

Great now we need more icons representative of other rooms

D70%

Usually I don't write reviews, but I couldn't pass this amazing app. It just works! Great idea, perfectly implemented. Philips should hire you.

S70%
by S####:

Loving it so far. Wish that you could have multiple switches as I have multiple rooms that I would like to control. Edit: Reading the developers feedback and it looks like this might be coming.

D70%
by D####:

When I press the tile a random number of my lights turn on and off. Doesn't turn them all on and off at once.

S70%
by S####:

Great app. Would love to see the ability to add more then one tile to the quick settings

D70%
by D####:

I really like it but after a couple uses I have to uninstall and reinstall as it won't work anymore and repeat. Please fix on Nexus 6

Feature requests: having multiple tiles for multiple bulbs, long pressing the tile to tweak the luminosity

D70%
by D####:

Doesn't seem to work with Samsung devices. Probably not the developer's fault, as TouchWiz uses some UI tweaks that may get in the way. Still, a work around for As Samsung devices would be welcome. 3 stars simply because I have to rate in order to comment. Since I wasn't able to use it, I can only guess at a middle-of-the-road rating.

The check boxes used to select lights clear at random on scrolling. I effectively can't select more than six lights, since that's how many fit on my screen. This app does not load rooms or scenes, nor does it appear that the pro version does. In-fact, to extreme frustration, it doesn't even have an "all lights" option. With this, I'd have to create 4 tiles and push each of them to turn off all lights. And, wouldn't you know it, I can't even test that without buying the pro version since this one doesn't support more than one tile. I'll just use the Phillips widget - it has all the features this lacks. I will say, of the one bulb I did test it with, it did turn it off.

After every update it works for a while and then stops, this time it thinks it's on a different WiFi network to my lights...

N70%
by N####:

Since the update all it does is crash. Crashes at the picking lights area. Worked perfect before the update.

D70%
by D####:

Wish we can set a default color and brightness. Also should include different pre-set custom modes once you click on the "Switch Lights". That way you can change the colors, & brightness in the quick toggle setting. Besides my suggestions, app works exactly on how it should.

D70%
by D####:

Is this also supposed to work when I am out of my home network?

Z70%
by Z####:

Quite nice, please add scene support. I would be willing to buy the proversion if that came with scene buttons.

D70%
by D####:

Setup was easy enough. Just install, add to quick tiles, then click to configure. A great idea if only it worked. For me, all it does is turn off my hue color lights, while my white ones stay on. The app seems to be aware that some lights are still on, since the icon does not go grey (something I assume it will when all lights are off). Since some lights are still on, this is where it stops. A new press does not turn the colored lights back on. Hue Bridge v1, latest software (apr. 12 2017), Nexus 6P with Android O Beta.

Excellent application. Makes my Flic button totally useless now! Push the pro version out and I'll buy that in a blink of an eye. It's so rare to find such a easy, true to form and material-ish app you definitely deserve recognition for that. 2 wishes for next version: multiple tiles for granular control, fine tuning on long press.
