About LugLoc

This App works with LugLoc, which can be ordered at http://www.lugloc.com

Every year, over 30 MM people lose their luggage while travelling.

We created LugLoc with one goal: to bring peace of mind to all travelers around the world.
We know how carefully you pack your items thinking of when and how you are going to use them in your upcoming trip.
We know how much dedication and love you put on buying those special gifts to bring back home.
We know how important it is to get your special driver for starting that golf tournament you were preparing for all year.
We know how important that guitar that was with you since you were in high school is.

This is why we created LugLoc, so you can know where your luggage is, always.

Notes:

• LugLoc utilizes GSM/GPRS Technology to triangulate the location of your luggage and then shows you the image on the Map View in your App.
• LugLoc also comes with a Bluetooth feature that allows you to have peace of mind while waiting at the luggage carousel.

Very accurate

What happened? After upgrading to your new platform, I can't locate my device. It keeps saying that my plan had expired. Wrote to Customer Service who says that no it's not but can't help me with my app. Previous version at least shows where the device is nearby. Now I'm lucky to see it in the same city as I am. I just renewed my yearly tracking and frankly I'm wondering if it's worth it now that LugLoc has lost the plot!

The most recent app update seems to be a home run with this device, at least for me on the same LG G3 I've owned since I bought the LugLoc a couple of yrs ago. The last time I used it was fall of 2015 with the app current as of Sep 29, 2015/version 4.0.3 . I have another trip coming up very soon and figured I'd give it another try.The current version (5.1.2) is far superior and much more accurate using the same LG G3, though now running Android 6.0. . So far, I've only tested it around home, but response is faster & when close enough for BT, pretty darn accurate. The real test was walking around the yard, as I never get more than 2 bars on my cell anywhere within about 1/4 mile of home. Even with the weak signal, accuracy is much improved over my last use. Will be heading from the northeast US to a western state in near future and will make a point of putting it to the test while on the road. Upgraded my prior rating from 1 star to 4 just on my test experience with the new app. If it works well on my upcoming trip, I may rate it even higher.. Let's hope so. Good job to the LugLoc team; the new app has made a big difference for me.

The application works well when installed on IOS, and on Android . I have used it to confirm the fact that my bag is on the same plane I am, if I don't get a confirmation right away, I walk up and down the aisle with my app searching and usually find the bag's approximate location in the hold. Due to the limitations of Bluetooth as to range, I usually see the bag on the conveyor before the app does but the app does reassure me that I and the bag are in the same airport.

Bought 2 devices. Charged both. Downloaded the app. Unplugged both and waited for green light showing good signal. I bought 1 year subscription for both. Received emails verifying both. Opened the app. Tried to synch. 1st one paired with blue tooth. 2nd one needed more time. Ended up pairing manually. App "found" both within 50feet. 1st one was found using cell after I walked away. 2nd one needed more time but was finally able to find it. 2nd one repeatedly said device not activated. Still says that. Cannot check the battery condition in either one nor turn off remotely. 15 hours later neither device can be found even though both devices show green lights. Emailed support 6 times with no answer. Does not look good.

Revert to the old Bluetooth indicator. It provided a better ability to determine what direction the tag was in. The new one doesn't update fast enough.

THE NEWEST VERSION (2017) WORKS PERFECTLY! I Purchased this product a couple of years ago & the software/utilization was a little dodgy. The software has IMPROVED GREATLY in the interim & this product deserves 5 stars today. I have tested my LugLoc worldwide lately and it excels in locating your luggage when it is lost - this is it's principal purpose & it works. (One suggestion to new users is to become familiar with it's use BEFORE you travel. Second tip: on my older version it must be switched "ON" to charge it).

A few hiccups getting this activated and it seems to work now but I'll know after my trip. The product is solid and the app works but this company would have avoided most of the negative reviews by just having a live customer service voice rather than making people wait for email responses

Might want to open your web browser and log onto the lug loc web site... works much better than the app....

The original app was poorly designed, but worked. Newer version us poorly designed, and very buggy. Old version used Bluetooth as a beacon to find luggage nearby. That great feature appears to be gone.

App has started crashing every time I open it. Which means that the actual lugloc devices are useless, too...

Works perfectly and just as expected! Now you can track the device as many times as you wish per month, 6months or a year - it is no longer a "pay per trace" since June. Also i want to clarify again this is NOT a GPS tracker, it uses cell towers to get a coarse location which is enough to know in which airport your luggage is, and works indoors

Another dodgy device that don't work

App crashes when loading the device. Impossible to use on Galaxy S7 Edge. --updated-- I contacted support and they promptly resolved the issue. So kuddos to them. APP should enable changing meaures units to meters instead of feet.

Just bought the tracker and installed app. App kept crashing right after registration. How can I use this tracker if app does not work?!

Don't bother, they don't respond, terrible service.. UPDATE! I have Been contacted, they apologized for their lack of communication during a time when introducting the upgrade to the app. They have made things right. My new rating ABOVE . NEW. .it's just not a dependable product.. Sometimes works sometimes not.. Getting ready to go to Mexico.. 2 were working out of three.. Now none work. AFTER I bought traces for all.. Good concept, poor performance.. Don't buy..

I am unable to register an account with this app and therefore unable to use the trackers I paid for. I would advise looking at other companies with apps and trackers that actually work.

Tried setting up but can't get pass the same error message. Emailed support but did not get any response. It has been more than a month with repeated emails.

I spent too much time trying to get the LUGLOC to pair with my Note 7. After approximately 30 tries, I finally got the thing to pair up. Then I noticed you have to pay a monthly or yearly fee to trace your luggage! This is unacceptable. I'll spend money to have a locator, but no way am I going to pay 5 dollars per month in case I have to trace lost luggage. This is going back to the store.

We purchased 2 lug locs 2 years ago. We immediately had to exchange them because they were defective. They worked fine after that BUT.... We just took them out to use for a trip. They have been in an air conditioned home for the entire year. They won't charge and there is no way to change the battery. This is after we just spent $40 to track them on our trip! Their web/application interface is horrible and it's a major ordeal logging on and purchasing more tracking time. My original account that was set up a year ago didn't work (I have my passwords saved, so I know I was using the correct info). We had to open a new account. Worse of all is that they have NO customer service number, no chat available, and everything must be done by email-- which doesn't get answered on a timely basis. The inventors of this device had an absolutely GREAT idea, with extremely poor execution and support. Don't waste your $$.

Charges for doing traces... Once you purchase the device, you still have to pay to use it! This is ridiculous!!

Even more disappointed than before. First test was at home using LG G3, trace returned a location > 1 mile away. First real use was trip to New Orleans. From hotel, w/bag in room, trace reported bag was located halfway between airport and hotel on St. Charles. Purchased more Traces today, hoping things had improved. Leaving for Europe soon; tested again @ home before leaving. Trace reported location even farther away than initial test trace: nearly 2 miles this time, while device was stationary at my front door. Most recent app update shows as Sept. 29, 2015 to version 4.0.3. I installed app before then, and phone shows version 4.0.3. App has no menu option to check for updates, and I'm not sure I really have latest version. I've requested multiple traces & no history is showing; when I tap the battery icon, it requests another trace and battery charge appears as a notification on my G Watch but not on phone. At present, I'm feeling like I bought a bottle of snake oil.

So far, I'm happy with the device. I had a question for Customer Service about the initial traces and got a very prompt and courteous reply. They not only gave me the info but solved my problem by offering to extend the initial traces - I didn't even have to ask.

The impressions: The luggage pin on the map is displaced by a few km with each zoom-in/zoom-out. Cannot permanently disable the bluetooth beep sounds. Sometimes the app crashes when using bluetooth. No "Back" functionality in Help Center (Android's Back button exits the app).

Don't buy.....update..customer service is working with me and will replace both devices..Will see how that goes.
