SuperBeam | WiFi Direct Share

Just connect WI-FI direct with the device you want to share with, select file with this killer app, scan the qr code (free version), and bam! 80 Meg file in like 4 seconds. I wish this was the "bloatware" they included on phones nowadays. It actually deserves to be called software or something better like EPICware. Yea.

Updated now working for me, not sure what changed. Does not do PC transfers w/Windows (do I understand the Pro version does?). GREAT that it transfers DIRECT without requiring internet and not using data plan. Now gets 5 stars. I'll buy it and pay more (name your unique price just to me if you like) if you can make it do data-free voice-to-text or text transfers live (like clipboard) [see Astromouse] to PC w/Windows without internet, not using Bluetooth (I have 1 non-BT device) just the wi-fi direct.

Rated highly when I first got it a long while ago. I was able to transfer files at ~65mbps on WiFi direct. "Updated" version now limits me to around 8mbps. Why is this? Have deleted new version, gone back to old and am happy. Prettier UI at the expense of efficiency is not a good deal. Edit: now it won't work at all.

Lacks write to SD card support. Confusing, especially with transferes between Android and iOS. Where do I save my files? Why cant I save them? Sending multiple files could be easier. Search and Sort capability of files and folders would be helpful. Like the ability to sort and select files by file Type, Size, or Date. This would make it easier to select many files to copy at once, rather than selecting them individually.

Very much worth the nominal fee for pro verdion. I've used more of these apps than I care to count and this is the first one to not only do whAt it claims, it does it with a UI that is intuitive by its nature. John Coffey (like the drink only not spelled the same) would've been able to use this with ease!

"Smart" phones often make simple actions - like copying files to another phone or to a desktop/laptop - much too difficult. SuperBeam makes it easy, and gives lots of options to accommodate different network environments. One of the first things I install on a new device.

I accidentally started this app this morning looking to start YouTube, it was open for about 2 seconds till I closed it out. 2 hours later I noticed it was responsible for more power usage than anything else including almost 3 hours of screen on time.. it was just idling in the background..but was very battery hungry for some reason? What's up with that?

used to be a 5 star program before update. now has a nag screen to update, and has fouled up the system for where to store files, and key history is gone. i will re-rate if they fix it.they have updated and it is now worse. Now sharing keys cannot be typed in. Is it even possible they are testing this?

You can do more with apps like pushbullet - if you pay monthly. I only want easy transfers. This sets up an ad hoc network and works anywhere. Samsung Kies? Please.

I was not able to get 1 file, doc., or app to transfer from one android phone to another. Both are running the same android version. The QR did not even work! When I used "4 ShareApps" I was able to copy files, apps, & folders with no problems at all.

Unlike other just send/receive function. Why the need to have a very long key and always to scan qr all the time? Just saying.. What f the receiver is a distant place?

Constantly failed to send files from phone to PC. Would corrupt files or fail around the 80% mark. I don't experience these issues on my network with other similar apps so not sure why this one would be so unstable.

Used to work so great, I loved it so much, I supported and payed for the Pro. After an update, that wasn't even needed, this hasn't worked since, just like everyone else, just keep getting a cannot connect error, on the receiving device, no matter what I try. This is ridiculous,why did you break it!! It was working fine, put it back to normal. I need this to function again, I use it a lot, even worse I supported by going Pro!

This app doesn't compete with Samsung Smart Switch when you get a different phone and need to move everything over, but it's close. What it is great for is fast file transfers of specific files to another phone. Definitely something everyone should have on their phones.

Not working on my new LG tablet. Larger file transfers disconnect while transferring. I download movies using the unlimited data on my friend's phone, then send them to my tablet. Currently this app is completely useless to me.

After a few successful file transfers it suddenly stopped woking. It only says "the other device is blocking the connection." Please help! I supported your Pro version wholeheartedly so please do not make me regret it.

Worked fine. But can't select entire folders to transfer. Must scan QR code or enter a key for each transfer. I wanted more a client server model so I could connect remotely to a android device in another room. As is we need to shout or email keys.

Can't complain now that I can easily transfer all kinds of files between my devices, one of which does not have NFC nor wifi-direct! Plus the Pro is definitely worth the purchase to transfer between all my devices, including my computer! I don't know why I never discovered this sooner!

got an issue on my xperia t3.. when locking the screen while transfering data sometimes it cant be view anymore.. stuck in the load process.. i wonder if that bcos of low memory issue or something else.. worth to check it.. anyway good program.. works wonder with the pc transfer.. :3

When NFC and WiFi direct fails, Bluetooth takes long time. I used to use FTP client/server to move files. But this makes it a lot easier. Assuming you are connected to the same network of course.

Used to have a useful free version/mode where even ads could be disabled. Now there's just a free trial with an obtrusive sign up process. This app has gone commercial just like all the others, so there's no reason to choose it over the plethora of other options. Very disappointing.

Photos not transmitted or corrupted. App development abandoned. It doesn't work with Android versions 5 and 6. It used to be great, but I DO NOT recommend it anymore. Tested with various devices from different manufacturer. (LG, Samsung, ASUS, Huawei) using the two latest Android versions (Lollipop, Marshmallow).

Okay, my problems are partially solved. Problem.1 solved, but Problem.2 still exists in 5.1.1 z3 compact. 1-Everytime I use Superbeam, my custom settings in hotspot like wpa security and the password vanish and which is fine if the settings get restored after Superbeam use, but that doesn't happen. 2-Where is the widget in lollipop??????

Moved 1500 photos to my new phone. Worked great. Factory reset and turned in my old phone. Next day all 1500 photos were corrupt on new phone. I would have moved them all to my PC of I knew this would happen. Contacted customer service and no reply. Complete crap

Do not download it's like inviting cat burglars into your home to steal your personal belongings. I can do this with my Bluetooth so why would I bother going through a third party app which can view my sending and receiving? Why do you need permission to modify contents on my SD card? Why would I want to give up my privacy over this app? Just another developer trying to obtain private files and folders.

Beautiful, fast, easy transfers between my PC, Android phones and tablets. Purchased the upgrade for ridiculously cheap. I first used this two years ago, but just recently rediscovered it. I remember it being good, but not this good. I would have never stopped using it if it was.

I have used this app for about 3 years now and was totally in love with it. Every since my phone got updated to Marshmallow, it just doesn't work. I tried everything but no luck so far.

Looses track of jobs done sometimes. I have used it a lot and it keeps working. You have to select not on WiFi network to get the fastest speeds, which confused me initially.

Transferred about 1000 photos/videos from phone to phone. 3/⁴ got corrupt and unable to save. Make sure you got what you wanted before deleting! (Dont make my mistake and assume) besides this it's an excellent app

App works great for pictures but I've noticed that when transferring videos through this application that when you play them back they don't play correctly. Also have the pro version installed. Has anyone else had this problem? Otherwise love the app

I actually payed for this app, it was working like a charm. For some reason it stopped working. I tried direct connection, same home WiFi network and mobile phone PC connection as well. Not working. I want my money back.

Will never connect to sending device, always says unable to connect. Even though both devices can access the superbeam Web server using Chrome. This app has lost all utility for me.

I have noticed that Superbeam automatically change my wifi hotspot setting when using wifi direct method. This wasn't the case before, is this something new? Because it very unsecure having my hotspot set to open with generic name...

I used this app a very long time. It worked smoothly but after update its not working properly and I am very disappointed for that. Its frustrated me now .every time when I started to transfer or receiving some data for some other smartphone they not connected . please give some feedback solve my issue..I like this Aap.

Over all, its a good App! I would have given 5, but error occurs when I try to set storage location to SD external memory card. Hi developer, pretty please fix this for us

This app used to be one of the essential app that I install everytime but now after the updates, when I select a file to share it just crushed and terminate my WiFi connection as well. Tested on variuos devices. Some has mixed results depending on your ROM , but my main phone (bacon OPO) just refuse to work, tested from the first CyanogenMod12 nightly to current one and other mayor distros like ParanoidAndroid, Aokp... ALL failed... so this app is in simple term just broken!

I bought the pro version to enable connectivity with PC, but errors won't facilitate that. Despite having written to them multiple times, they dont even bother to answer back to their Pro customer. This company is gonna see a downfall for sure!

I have this on all my kids' tablets, my phone and my PC. It's glitchy sometimes but killing the app and opening it again sorts that and it doesn't happen all too often. I would like an easier way to send stuff back to the pc though; since I don't have (or want) a webcam, a QR code won't work and the long code is just too long. Add some sort of "send to pc" option (and then let me add a list of my computers, like, in the phone app) and that would be awesome.

Lack of support, very poor upgrades, frequent crashes and bugs have made me look for alternatives even though I bought a paid version of this to support developer.
