About SmartWidget: Smart Shortcuts

SmartWidget is an automatic shortcut widget to your favorite applications.

After you add the widget to your home screen, it will start monitoring the applications used. Shortcuts to the most frequently launched apps will be added to the widget automatically.

- SmartWidget displays shortcuts that aren't already on your home screen - get only new shortcuts!
- Exclude apps from the widget by selecting them in the main app and clicking the 'EXCLUDE' button
- Includes a resizable widget for Android Honeycomb and above
- Sort shortcuts by most used apps or most used + recently used (combined metric)
- Share your top apps with your friends! (option in apps settings)

- Free version is limited to 4 shortcut icons on widget.

Premium features (in-app purchase):
- Extra widget sizes (4x4, 2x4) (Gingerbread and below)
- Set any maximum number of icons on resizable widget (Honeycomb and above).

If the "existing shortcuts" option is grayed out in the settings, then your launcher isn't supported. Contact me and I will try to support it.

Gave 2 stars because it is a great idea but I'm unable to get it to work for me. Rooted Eris.

I like the flexible widget but I think the algorithm keeping track of the most used apps is not accurate sometimes. It thinks that the kindle app is the most frequently used even though I certainly use other apps much more frequently. Edit: Removing the apps which are tracked inaccurately is not a solution since I might want them in the list, just not at the top of the list... basically I want the tracking to be accurate so I don't have to micro-manage.

I do like this widget. A very simple idea well executed! Just one request; an option to centre the icons within the resizable widget would help to keep the widget tidy when switching screen orientation. At the moment, my 14 icons are left aligned with 10 on the first row and 4 on the second. It would be nice for them to be centred with 7 icons on each line. This could then be kept when orientated instead of all 14 fitting on one line just now. Certainly not a deal breaker tho ;-)

I never had the right apps on my home screen, until I got this. Use the slider on the background color to let your desktop show through. Still good!

I have the premium version. The program miscounts my program use despite several stat resets. Neither Nova Launcher nor Kit Kat launcher work with hiding icons already on the home screen. It's a good idea though. I used to use Top Shortcuts but that needs root in android 4.x+. Update: the above issues are on my S4 and continue. For fun I also installed it on my Nexus 10. Works just fine. Both devices run Nova launcher, same versions. I upgraded my rating one star.

I have started using this app but I'm pleased so far.

Have had this widget for a while and love it. Used to work fine on my kitkat RAZR HD but since swapping over to a lollipop Z3 the widget only shows the smartwidget icon and that's all

T70%
by T####:

How much is the premium version? I don't understand the currency being shown in Google Wallet.

G70%

The only thing missing is the ability to resize icons. I'd like to get them down to about the size of a favicon and sorted by frequency.

Does npt update on Android L.

Отображает приложения, которые либо вообще не нужно запускать самостоятельно, либо они есть в нижней панели и не требуют повторного появления на экране

Very satisfied, highly recommended :-)

As illogical as it may sound, I would have preferred some predefined widget sizes, even though I'm on ICS...but that's just me, so 5 stars it is.

but innacurate

M70%

One off the best app i used

M70%
by M####:

if I close apps and go check the app count it sometimes doesn't seem to change or adjust it's position on the widget. certain apps must run in a background state so instead of registering as a newly opened instance it just reopens the old one and doesn't raise its value. I wish it did.

Works great. Will recommend it to all my friends.

Love new customization options Cool idea! Great widget.

M70%

Nice idea, doesn't work as advertised though. Will use when more complete.

M70%

What a useful little app!

M70%
by M####:

Doesn't support ADW, wtf? Other than that, nice idea, but make more shortcuts fit in the widget, maybe make it scrollable.

M70%
by M####:

Doesn't work. Just sits there telling me that it's 'still learning'.

M70%
by M####:

"Problem loading widget" error occurs every time. Fix and it'll be good!

Z70%
by Z####:

This is a great idea for a widget, though I hope to see more features in the future like customizing the amount of items shown, support for multiple widgets based on category, and support for more launchers. I'd gladly get behind a paid version with these capabilities!

M70%
by M####:

like set widget to transparent, more than 4 icons. too bad it can't work alongside other widgets like circlewidget/multicon. it does hav app exclusion

E70%
by E####:

The widget wouldn't learn any most used apps on Nexus One.

M70%
by M####:

It doesn't appear to be detecting any Google apps (Google Plus, Voice, Talk) It would be nice if in the Applications Stats, it showed the application name and icon instead of just the package name. It would also be nice if you could pin apps or reset the counter for a specific app or all apps. Otherwise, nice app

S70%
by S####:

Does not recognize most of the apps does not know if I run an app or not

M70%
by M####:

:'(

M70%
by M####:

It scrunches the widgets on the screen so it doesn't align with rest of them on the screen.

M70%
by M####:

Its does what its said, but I find it very useful... Keep the good work!

C70%
by C####:

Used to work and now doesn't on X10 mini pro

M70%
by M####:

I love this app, it cleans the homepage

M70%
by M####:

Looks like working. Could you add more than 4 apps (a little useless otherwise) and remove some app from list?

M70%
by M####:

I liked the fact that it syncs with icons already on the desktop. should sync with widgets already on desktop too...

M70%
by M####:

It doesn't seem that smart. It puts up the apps I open once and don't touch again. When I always open up friendcaster lol iuunnnooo

M70%
by M####:

Doesn't recognize sense shortcuts...
