Hockey Stat Tracker Lite tracks shots - saves, missed, blocked, post and goals and whether it was a Power Play, Short Handed or Even Strength. The player that takes the shot, the goalie and any assists are also tracked. You even have the ability to handle +/-.
Hockey Stat Tracker Lite allows you to create Seasons and Teams. Add Players to your teams – even your opponents. Games are sorted by type (League, Exhibition, Tournament and Playoff) and location (Home/Away). You can track multiple teams and multiple seasons, all within this single app.

Shots are entered by tapping on an image of the rink. You can drag existing shots to different locations, or tap on a shot to edit it. You can even go back in after a game and change goals/assists/etc if necessary. During the game you'll get a running goal and shot total. You can even rotate the rinks on the screen so that they're always facing the same way as the teams are skating.

After each period you can get a report with shot totals and images showing the shot locations. It also breaks down counts for the types of shots and gives game totals.
After each game you can generate a report showing the game summary. Pictures are included to show shots for each period. Finally the stats for each goalie and player are added.
Other reports include individual player stats for the season, plus team reports that can be generated for the entire season or broken down by opponent, location (home/away) or game type (Leauge, Playoff, Exhibition or Tournament). The team contain either player stats or team records. These reports are sent as PNG and as CSV so you can import into Excel.
The LITE version provides you the full functionality, however it is ad supported and you are limited to creating five games. You can migrate your database from the LITE version to the full version once you purchase it so no data will be lost by trying the LITE version.

Using Galaxy s5. There is no menu button in settings to add a team. I'll be happy to try it again once it's fixed.

May work well with other phones. You need to be able to go to "menu" to add a season. There is no menu button on the app and my phone does not allow access to any sort of menu. Too bad. Was really looking forward to using this but it didn't work right off the hop. Adding a season is literally the first thin you need to do!

I haven't used this app much yet, but so far I like the way it works. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to get started but once I did I was tracking teams shots on goal very easily. Is there a setting or a way to change the font size or the shot type selection size. I find on my tablet that when I am entering a shot on net the type of shot ie goal, save, missed, etc. are very small and I tend to tap the wrong one the first time. 3 stars for now cause I haven't used it enough yet but I'll gladly add a star if there is a way to make that shot selection bigger.

This app is awesome! Love it to track the game and get goalie stats for my son. The coach loves the post game report I e-mail him directly from the app. He gets it before the boys are out of the change room. Buttons could be a little bigger, but they still work well at this size. I was waiting for game 6 to upgrade but with the promo price have got the full version after 3 games. Thanks Mark (both) one of you is awesome, the other...why be a hater. ;-)

Just installed on my Nook HD and it will not open (crashed on opening). To make sure this was not just a one-time thing, here is exactly what happened: Crashed twice, I deleted and reinstalled, and it crashed twice more.

This app is great to track player shooting tendencies. It's also good for goalies to show where they're getting beat to help work with positioning. I love the various reports that this can generate based on the season/exhibition games and tournaments. Once it's set up, it was so easy to work with. Wouldn't mind it being a little more accurate when posting shot spots. Would love to see an update with penalties included though.
