Tempo SlowMo is an ideal practice tool for musicians, dancers and language students. Using technology developed for our Chord Detector and Chord Tutor apps, Tempo SlowMo’s sleek and simple design helps you practice playing songs, dance routines or learning a new language by slowing down or speeding up an audio tracks BPM (beats per minute) without affecting its pitch.

Just hit the Music button within the app to reveal the available audio import options. Import an audio file from your music library, Dropbox account or over WiFi network directly to your device. Tempo SlowMo will then load the audio file which you can then play, pause, slow down and speed up to your hearts content.
Tempo SlowMo also has a feature allowing you to drop markers at any point in the track so that you can quickly skip back to that point if there is a particular bit of a track you are trying to master. Special Loop Markers allow you to loop part of a track if you need to master a specific section. Start and End Track Markers allow you to override the point where a track begins and ends.
As well as being able to import audio files from different sources you can also make your own recording and save it for future use.
Unfortunately Tempo SlowMo doesn't support the Google Play music streaming service at this time.
You can export the changes you made to an audio file to MP3 and upload it to Dropbox or send it as an email attachment.
Please note that this app does not support tracks which are DRM protected.

● Remove Adverts – The app is free but contains adverts. Use this option to remove the adverts.
● Equaliser Control – isolate specific frequency bands with this 10 band equaliser.

This is a fabulous app which was introduced to me by a friend about a year ago. I play traditional Irish music and it is brilliant for picking up on a tricky part of a tune by being able to play along with it slowly. 5 stars no doubt!

Couldn't get it to record any music and couldn't change name of "recorded" files. Kept saying I had invalid characters in my filename even when I didn't. This app was recommended by a violin teacher to slow down recordings, very disappointed. Has major bugs in it oviously.

I like the wheel, but I really don't like that I can't search for a song by name. There are songs I just can't find with this app. If I find the song in My Files, this app does not come up as an option to play it with.

I payed for the playlist function .saved songs as a playlist .closed the app and opened the app ,when I wanted to load the playlist ,nothing was innit ??? And the Dropbox link opens but you cannot add any music ,it says null added !

First, having to choose between volume and markers at app start up is, as far as I can see, a pointless and inefficient step. I am holding my phone in my hand, and my device volume controls are preferable, or at least sufficient. This "option" just adds an extra step, unnecessarily. My other problem is that the markers are not very accurate. there is usually about a second of lag time from when I push the start marker to where it actually registers in the loop. Workable, but not ideal. Fix these, 5 stars.

I cant save my recordings once I'm done. Not sure if its only me but im running a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and cannot save my finished files. App will sinply say "Unfortunately, Tempo SloMo has stopped working"

Way to go! Tempo Slowmo is by far the best in this free apps category! Notes are still clear even when slowed down. Just need to improve on the bass volume though...

This is my favorite app to slow down music. I had it on my iPhone and I recently made the switch to android and I was happy to see its on here too. The only thing that it's missing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is there is no way to pause the music outside of the app. On the iPhone I could swipe up from any app and I was able to pause and play. It really helped while I was reading guitar tabs. If they could add a feature that lets me play/pause from the drop down notification screen it would be great

Brilliant app. I tried other ones and this is my favorite so far. I am running low on internal memory so I have to record to SD card. The app shows the music in the internal memory of the phone and I cannot see how to read the SD card to access my recordings. [UPDATE] I can see how it works now: when selecting a music file to open, the "Folder" option cannot read from the SD card in Android (this put me off for a while). "Album" and "Artist" options seem to read the file info from internal memory AND SD card so my recordings appear in "Album/unknown" and "Artist/Unknown Artist". Much happier now I know how it works.
