Port number should be greater than 1024 as binding to ports like 21 will not be possible on non-rooted phones. The default port number is configured to 2221 and can be changed from settings screen. For security reasons, anonymous access is not enabled by default. It can be enabled from settings screen.
If you dont have a FTP client, you could download Filezilla from https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client You can also access the ftp server from windows file explorer.

This is only app that gives me write access to External SD card. Others fail miserably at this simple feature. This only happens since I got on 5.1.1 because apparently google messed up with sd card permissions. This app solved all my problems.

Ive been searching for hours for a program that had fast transfer speeds to my device since my USB data transfer is broken via USB this is one of the very few programs that keeps that promise, I made an adhoc point from my PC on a separate adapter and was able to successfully transfer files from the PC to android at 45+ MB/s. Very useful if your data port is broken on your USB port.

After selecting SD CARD as root directory, it works well both for downloading and uploading. Thanks ! ---- Good for download only. Upload doesn't work, all folders are unwritable. Read-only option is unchecked. If you tell me how to upload, I will give you 5 stars.
