IEA World Congress 2017

The International Economic Association (IEA) world congress is a global event, it is the sole world meeting embracing all fields of economics, including all areas and all approaches, from theory to empirics. Because of its broadness, it attracts not only scholars but also distinguished economists from non-academic institutions such as central banks and other public institutions from a very wide range of countries, permitting a rich exchange of views. The congress is organized every three years.

The congress will feature research presentations by leading economists from across the globe. More than 500 economists are expected to attend and over 400 papers will be presented in parallel academic sessions. There will also be a number of policy sessions and keynote lectures.

The congress is jointly organized with the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas, CIDE, Mexico. The theme of the congress is Globalization, Growth and Sustainability.
