Nice little app. I use it mainly for making sure I don't let wines age out. Needs option for more than one cellar (rather than "location in cellar").

Hi. Love this app, but it does not store/backup the photos on the server - so if I lose my phone, I lose the pictures. But the text data is saved, so we don't lose everything.

X70%
by X####:

Now requires another app to be installed for bar code reader that wants to much access to personal data.

E70%
by E####:

I only wish it had date bought. Bar codes are not real useful because most good wines don't have bar codes. Some minor formatting is needed, I hope the developer keeps working on this app.

Update: I've been using it for a few years now & finding it very helpful in finding my wines that are ready to drink (making sure they don't get too old). I thought that I used to be able to sort by cellar location. I tried today & couldn't find it. That is useful when verifying what is where.

V70%

Can someone tell me why the pictures I took of the wine bottle keep disappearing after an hour or so? Tried multiple times same thing happened over and over again.

G70%
by G####:

recently had to factory reset. tried to import my back up. "no back ups found on server".... helpful. I have been using & backing up the info for several years. after paying for an app I do expect more

D70%

When searching I would like to have the option to only see what is in my cellar. If I am a club member at a winery I want to easily see what I have

X70%

Like it but recommend adding regioncountry field so one can sort on it. Wine Spectator rating would be nice too.

X70%

Would be nice if you could export to text, and provide a simple html format. To someone that can choose from the list, with photo

This app has never failed me and is very stable.

Tried the free version but it won't let you add photos, so paid for this version to include photos, but when my tablet was turned on and off photos dissappear, will do it again and backup, but this is really annoying.

U70%
by U####:

I would rate this a five but for the lack of a sync feature so it would be current on my phone and tablet without my intervention.

I70%

I would refund but the 15 minutes were up. There are much better free apps out there. Vivino ( paid ) and Wine Secretary ( free ) are a lot better

Use this all the time for recording our wines!! Excellent app!

Please add ability to sort by location.

Took a chance paid for app. I like to support apps that I try and like, the free version was too limiting normally don't buy for this reason, but seams like a good app. However when adding wines, or in the edit mode would like to see a home key to exit out instead of having to back out all the way to get back to "My Wines". also do not like having to use this methed to leave a comment with the dev. Put a home key in and my score will go to 4,

Improvements: include date purchased field, with options for multiple entries. Barcode scan could/should help populate the entries w other than name.

U70%
by U####:

Program Recommendations: It would be nice in the stats to see the breakdown in varietal of the bottles in the cellar. (Similar to breakdown of tracked) The program gets four stars for it's capabilities to store all the details of my wine cellar, sort and rate functions. An extra star is granted for the developer willing to listen and update his program based on customer recommendations.

It would be helpful if there was a copy function for the winery to make it faster to record notes when at a winery or wine event.

U70%
by U####:

I am giving this 5 stars because it does everything I was looking for: it let's me write my comments; take a photo of the wine label; keep track of all that I've bought, and list them by region or varietal. It even does something thing I didn't know I wanted: list the total value of my wine collection A couple of improvements I might ask for? I would love to be able to sort my wines by the vintage year (rather than the "drink by" year... YEAH! They added this feature!!), and when viewing my sorted wines, I would love it if the four line summary gave the vintner. I'd prefer the vintner name over my comments, maybe that's a choice in the settings? Thanks, great app!

Export to csv seems to not work properly now. No carriage return after each record means it imports into excel on one line. This did work previously so hopefully a quick fix. Apart from that pretty good tool.

Basic application that allows you to make notes to catalogue wines. There is a bar code look up facility that doesn't seem to recognise most of the wines I drink, but is okay if you just drink wines supermarket brands. If your wine is recognised then it only pulls in the name; if you have a database of wine, I would have expected it to pull in wine region, country etc. So as long as you understand that adding wine will be a manual process, then it's worth buying.

Scanning never works.

U70%

The barcde function does not do much because at best it returnes only the brand name and not even the veriatal. It would be good to tie into one of the shopping sites to return more info. If you add a veriatal it does not back it up. You should also be able to search shared reviews.

I have WinePHD which is awesome but has a totally ridiculous interface. This has a great interface but lacks some rather simple basics. For example Varietals aren't even in alphabetical order making it very hard to find what you're looking for. Also, every attempt to use the barcode is frustrating. The camera having issues focusing in different light. Then the server saying its down. Having manual entry of the barcade would be great and a linked-in database would be even better. Tons of potential.

U70%
by U####:

I like to keep track of what wines I have purchased in the past and whether or not I enjoyed them. I can not always remember. This is easy to search. The notes area is handy as well as photo of the label. Others already suggested the varietals should be listed alphabetical, I do not understand why they are not? Export as CSV is good. I recommend this app.

U70%
by U####:

Easy to use. Very good search feature. Bar scanner identifies the bottle about 1/3 of the time. Would add the ability to synch to other devices - now you have to back up to a server and "restore" it to a different device. Still the best ap out there and i tried all the free ones and a few purchased ones.

Would be great if you could sort by white, red or sparkling wines. This is a great app with lots of capabilities and well made. It could only be better if you could save more than 1 picture per wine (two would be great so you can save the front and back labels)

Z70%

I've had this app installed for about 2 years. I liked it and totally relied on it to know where my wines are in my cellar. Recently my phone died and I got a new one. I backed up my sd card, installed it in the new phone and reinstalled the app. The database was empty. I restored my data from their server, but know I added wines since my last backup. I contacted metosphere twice asking where the database is stored and its name, so maybe I could restore it from my sd backup, but they have never responded.

Z70%
by Z####:

Getting better. Seems to inventory my wines okay, but there is no associated commercial flavor profile. The "Other" category seems to be an unrelated running dialog of random posts = worthless. I learn nothing about the wine I'm tasting. I can't easily edit my inventory. Many barcode scans need to be added. Bought+1 should be Bought+quantity. I don't want to hit a button 12 times for a case. There are many rating systems: would be nice if it synched with known ratings, or there was a dropdown entry for it.

Z70%
by Z####:

I would like to see sorting by Location added. It would make it easier for me to see if I forgot to add or deduct a bottle, as my storage racks are numbered from 1 to 36.

I finally got my entries moved from free to paid version. Not sure if something changed or I just saw the light. I clearly liked the free version. Hoping for better perf. with this version. No ads should help as there is poor WiFi in my "cellar". There was a problem with export/import with server. My first wine had some garbage in the name. Looks like DB pointers.

I wish I had tested this before buying it. I'm can only assume this app is very US/Euro-centric in its wine register. I tried scanning the barcodes of 10+ Australian wines and not a single one registered. Pointless app for me.

T70%
by T####:

We needed a way to track what we already own to keep from making duplicate purchases, and to easily pick what we want to drink from our cellar. This app worked for us and was easy to use. It didn't take long to inventory our wine. I would, however, like to have a place to enter alcohol content and have that added to the stats.

T70%
by T####:

I like having a place to log what was tried and what I though of it. I have notice my tastes changing. Next I would like to see a restaurant app to keep record of what meal I tried during previous visits.

T70%

I would LOVE to be able to sync this with my husband's phone so we could share our list.

It would be helpful if you could print the information which has been input.

B70%

Best wine app that backs up to a server. Needs: drop down box for producers that can be added too like varietals box. Sort feature if wine name and varietal are both listed it shows up twice on list ie merlot merlot. Its redundant on main list of wines
