Parent Portal App to remotely manage the MMGuardian Parental Control app installed on your teen's & pre-teen's smartphone, directly from parent phone and keep your teens and pre-teens safe.
This app is used to protect kids which is different from spy kids. It has much more features and better controls than Family Link, including SMS tracker and call blocker, to prevent cyberbullying and sexting, web filtering aside from managing screen time and blocking apps or games. This app is a better than the web based parent portal.
We ask parents to be open about using parent control app to protect kids and it should not be confused with simply to spy kids. Parents may choose not use the app as sms tracker and can turn it on from parent portal app anytime if they see a need to keep their teens safe.
Once the MMGuardian Parental Control app has been installed to your child's Android phone, you will be able to use the MMGuardian Parent App to set it up as :
- SMS tracker and blocker.
- Call tracker and blocker
- Web url tracker and blocker and age based filtering
- App usage tracker and App Blocker
And to:
- View all tracked sms/texts, calls, urls and app usage from the parent phone portal.
- Quickly locate your child's phone, and see the location on a map
- View location updates easily on the map
- Lock or Unlock the child's phone with a simple button press
Additionally, you may set and edit configurations for::
- Screen Time Limits. set up bed time and school time to manage screen time
- Scheduled locate (Track)
- SMS Block and Call Block. block calls and texts of certain contacts and keep your teens & pre-teens safe.
- App Control. Block apps or games directly or set up usage time limit on one or a group of apps and games
- SMS tracker and alert. Parents only receive alerts when certain key words are matched in the SMS
- Web Filter, and more. Filter out mature contents to protect your teens and preteens and stay safe from the dark side of internet.
You must first install and register the MMGuardian Parental Control app onto your child's phone. The child app become like sms tracker , screen time limiter and net nanny to make your teens or pre-teens smart phones safe. The parent phone is transformed into a parent portal to monitor and manage all kid's smart phones and tablets owned by the family, including enforcing mart limits on the teen or pre-teens smart phones.
Log in to the Parent App,which becomes like family base or parent portal, using the email and password that was used to register the Parental Control child app.
This app allows parents to send commands and remotely manage the configuration of the child's phone app. If you have not yet created an MMGuardian account, please first register our Parental Control app on your child's phone (see https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mmguardian.childapp).
Both your phone and your chid's phone need to have network data capability, as the app uses data rather than SMS to send and receive commands and configuration information.
You may purchase subscriptions or licences to apply to the MMGuardian Parental Control app installed on your child's Android phone from within this Parent App, to avoid having to add payment credentials (credit cards etc) to your child's Play Store account.
After the totally free 14 day trial period of the app on the child's phone has ended, the parts of the Parent App that relate to Premium functions on the child's app are disabled, unless the child's app is licensed or has an ongoing subscription. However you can still use the Parent App to locate, or to lock or unlock your child's phone to remotely control screen time, dinner time and other smart limits.

Dont use this app your child will find a way to download apps even with play store disabled. When I told the customer service abor this and ask for a refund they ask me not do post a negative review. That show how fup this app is.

I purchased the app and everything it did during the trial it doesn't do now. I cannot control anything. And considering what my daughters already gotten into that was super important. This app is horrible. Don't waste your money.

We really like it at first and liked what it is supposed to do. Unfortunately, after a week of vacation and having some serious issues unlocking kids' phones, parent app not communicating with kids' phone (even with them sitting next to me with full bars), turning off time locks and the locks still becoming active, we are too frustrated to keep trying with this app.

I like it for the most part. Needs to be able to show facebook messenger messages same as text messages though. Allows my child to still send and receive things I cannot follow.

My son has figured out that if he restarts the phone the app disabled. And doesn't enable again until I go into his phone. Prior to that it was great.

Had to pay from my phone because i dont have kids phone set to be able to make purchases. Now it is set to control MY phone! EMAILED FOR HELP AND NO RESPONSE! Also.. when you install it roots to the phone so you can never delete the app.

Great app however thru a series of events (push buttons turn of and on etc) my daughter can over ride it. The good thing is it will send me a notice that the antitamper has been turn off

My 14 year old son hates this app but we finally feel like we have a tool to help us support him as he learns healthy boundaries with a cell phone. I've been able to address inappropriate discussions and use it as a teaching opportunity.

I love the features of this. However, I am disappointed to find out that it was only a trial and then you have to pay for it. I saw no information about having to pay for it.

Was fine until about a week after I subscribed. Now, my child's phone doesn't respond to updates from my phone. Found out while talking to support (the only good part of this app is that they respond quickly) that the issues I was having (app crashes on my child's phone allowing him to go in and disable it, no response from his phone, etc.) are known to occur on my child's phone model and that a fix could be at least a month away! Their suggestion? Wait it out or try a different phone.

It allows me to locate my Child and monitor where they go. I can block apps not appropriate or limit use at anytime. I can view SMS messages but can not see pictures sent or received. Also I can not view messages sent through Messenger.

This app does exactly what it says it does. There are no more arguments about when the phones get turned because we schedule it with the app. And there are no arguments to taking a photo away because we can lock it remotely.

Great way to monitor and control phone usage for my 2 teens.

Easy to use, but could be better. Cannot update lock times. Instead, I need to create a whole new time and resubmit. Then go back and delete the old one. Also, cannot see if the phone is currently locked or unlocked. Would like a simple lock and unlock button. Overall a good app though. Comes in very useful to keep my son off his phone during school.
